TEMPORARY IS MINIMAL Official Made in Italy: Temporary Store in New York Competition Mention

01 Milan, Italy | 2016

Team members: 3 People

The meaning of Temporary Store, made us reflect on what actually was needed to design or to be more precise, how it was to be designed the Store. Starting from this premise, we gave the project a character that recalled the meaning of temporary. We have been working on a minimalist design, easy to implement with contained costs. From the study of the plant we determined where was the heart of all the Store, represented by the cash desk. It constitutes the focal point of the whole store, “visually connected to all areas where items will be sold. Areas are defined in the plant through a false ceiling composed of MDF. The importance that we give to the areas is enhanced more by the play of lights, some of them placed between the false ceiling joists to illuminate the paths, while there are minimal lamps hanging from the ceiling that illuminate the exhibition space. The furniture were thought as a metal structure that drops down from the ceiling, finishing some to the ground and other suspended. All the furniture, with minimalist character, are made with a simple dark metal frame, glass for adjustable shelves and sales desk, MDF and black leather for the pouf.

As a design team member, I drafted some schemes and two plans, designed all the furniture, helping my collegues to define the areas and developed the final panel for the competition.

QUIOSCO TOME CANO Commercial kiosk Competition

02

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Island | 2016

Team members: 3 People

Quiosco Tome Cano is destined to being a small commercial shop that sells food and drinks. The principal block is in the centre and all the tables are around it. Given that the shape is rettangular, we decided to leave the entrances on the short sides, with the wooden lamellas that divide the space for the tables. The biggest wooden lamellas cover all the space, the smallest one cover only the bar block. As a team member, I designed all the plans, elevations, sections and schemas.

GODO | SOSTANZA ITALIANA Commercial Kitchen for an Hot Food Delivery Company Work experience Built

04

London, United Kingdom | 2015

Team members: 3 People

The Godo - Sostanza Italiana company, asked us to design a space intended for the production of food. In an area of about 130sqm have entered all the necessary elements to make a commercial kitchen always efficient, autonomous and high-quality. Client requirements were to could handle the company from the same place. So it was divided basically into two parts: the managerial and operational sector. The first sector includes the office to manage the kitchen, online customers, the website and the whole team; the second concerns the real kitchen. The kitchen contains a walk-in fridge, a dry storage, a changing room with toilet and an area of approx 55sqm with all the kitchen equipments for cooking. There are tables, fridges, an oven, a freezer, a pasta boiler and the induction hob. The careful design allowed us to respond and comply with all health and safety requirements and leaving free the entire central area that connects the main entrance with the back entrance. We had a contact with the Building Control Inspector and prepared all the documents for the application with the Council. As a team member, I contributed to design all the space, designed the plans for the electrician and the plumber and I supervised all the works in the building site with the builder.
