Expected Learning: Respond to her knowledge of English syntax and create coherent and grammatically correct paragraphs. Use orthography rules in the foreign language through selections, texts and writing exercises. Develop first draft. Revise and generate the final work.
Topic: fact and opinion No. of sessions: May 2nd to 6th, 2016 Indicator: Take care of the material used in writing exercises. Sow interest when communicating her writing. Respects the formal and basic aspects of writing in her text production so it is understood by herself and others.
Purpose: Communication and reasoning. Big Question: Who goes seeking adventure and why? Question of the week: What adventures helped drive westward expansion? Discuss the question of the week and talk about reasons people moved west on the American frontier. Development: Reading- Have students read the Ghost Towns and search about what was the American West like before so many people moved then? – Name some states in the west, use charts, graphs, photos to organize your expository texts. Writing- Summarize Ghost Towns of the American West. Focus on the most important facts and details. Use a graphic organizer, use adverbs when writing. Motivation: Find pertinent information from online sources- specific about Transcontinental Railroad.
