Finally, the Canadian Mechanical and Plumbing Exposition (CMPX) returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Wednesday, March 23 through Friday, March 25. It’s been four years since the in-person hands-on trade show and conference was last held, and the anticipation of the doors opening once again is almost over. The national event, jointly produced by the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) and the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH), brings together people from across the plumbing and HVAC/R industries for a loaded three-day gathering to get exposed to new technologies from hundreds of exhibitors while also re-connecting with colleagues and identifying the latest trends. The CIPH Gala In Support Of Habitat For Humanity takes place the evening before the show opens, for more details and pricing information visit ciph.com/events. This year’s educational program, the CMPX 2022 Learning Forum, features presentations from experts along with panel discussions. Most sessions are taking place in the Learning Forum accessible from the trade show floor. You can register for these free sessions when you register online. Also on the show floor is the Social Hub, where podcasters like Gary McReadie from HVAC Know It All and Trevor Matthews from Refrigeration Mentor will be on site. In addition, there is the return of the Skills Competition, where young and upcoming professionals will show off their skills and compete for prizes.
