Your Summer Must-Haves? Oh I have a lot! My summer must-haves include a fun vacation plan, cute sunglasses, plenty of swimsuits, sunscreen, pool time, a good summer book, time with friends, movie nights, jean shorts, a slice of cold watermelon, summer playlists, and lots of sleep!

What does your perfect Summer day look like? My perfect summer day would start with a morning beach walk on Cape Cod to see the sun rise then on to shopping with friends, stopping for a delicious lobster roll for lunch. The afternoon would be spent lounging by the pool or at the beach with a good book in hand. The evening would begin with a steak dinner while watching the sunset and afterwards my night would end with watching a good summer movie while snuggled under a soft warm throw.

What is the best compliment that you have ever received? My faith is very important to me so the best compliment that I have ever received is “Molley, you are a shining light for Christ.”

Your Dream Modeling Job? I love fashion, commercial, and runway modeling. I adore the feminine whimsy of LoveShackFancy and I think it would be amazing and fun to model for that brand. It would be an absolute dream of mine to model for Ralph Lauren or Chanel which are two of my favorite designers!

What does a typical day in your life look like? Starting my day by staring at myself in the mirror and saying “You’ve got this,” I dive into a 7 am SoulCycle class, channeling my inner Beyoncé for some serious motivation. Then, it’s all about tackling emails and work while trying not to devour too many carbs for breakfast, even though that warm almond croissant is calling my name. The rest of the day is a wild ride of auditions, rehearsals, and creative projects for both my production company and empowerment platforms.

What did you dream of becoming when you were younger? When I was younger, I dreamed of being a wife and mommy, though let’s just say the specifics were a bit... flexible!

Who is your biggest source of motivation? My biggest source of motivation? That’s gotta be my future self, girl. I’m hustling hard to make sure she’s living her best life and not regretting a dang thing!

How do you define success? Success, for me, is all about doing what I love with the people I love while raking in that sweet, sweet cash. It’s about creating dope projects and making sure my kids feel loved and supported along the way.

What’s your latest project? Oh, you know, just living the Hollywood dream! Right now, I’m on set with Jason Bateman for “Based on a True Story,” and last week, I was kicking it in Mexico filming “The Gringo Hunters” for Netflix. Plus, I recently produced and starred in a comedy pilot called “Lady Cops.” It’s all happening, baby!

I WOULD LIKE TO SPEND A DAY IN THE SHOES OF? The opportunity to spend a day in the shoes of Halsey would be a dream come true for me, as I deeply connect with her music and message. As someone who shares her mental health diagnosis, I appreciate her willingness to speak openly about her struggles and use her platform to raise awareness for important social issues. I believe that walking in her shoes for a day would give me a deeper understanding of the challenges she faces and the strength she shows in using her voice to make a difference.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM PROJECT? I have multiple dream projects that I am passionate about, but if I had to summarize them, it would be through the lens of social change. My goal is to utilize my PhD to conduct impactful research that positively affects society, particularly in the realm of mental health. I strive to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental health and create a society where individuals feel comfortable seeking help when needed.

I have received many compliments on my weight loss and overall appearance and I consider all of these compliments as the best I have received due to the amount of work I have done to make it this far. I am now able to participate in activities that were previously challenging due to my size, such as horseback riding, camel riding, and indoor skydiving. I can also explore the Zoo with my daughter without feeling tired. I am eager to see what the future holds as I continue working towards my goal.

I do it on set as well again but it always feels best if I have done it already right after waking up. As soon as I come back home I make myself dinner and read most of the time. Currently I’m reading a book about screenwriting which I find really interesting and helps me a lot learning more about scripts.

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION? My family! I don’t have my own little family with a husband (yet!) so I do everything for my family at home. To see my mum, brother and grandad being proud of me and being able to see them live more relaxed lives, especially my mum, and just seeing them smile makes me the

Oliver Sebastian Malmsten has an original story. He was born in Italy from Swedish parents and raised in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. He was lucky enough to grow up with Italian farmers who immediately gave him contact with true culinary traditions. Fresh seasonal vegetables grown with love, homemade bread and fresh handmade pastas were the order of the day. From here begins his passion for food that will lead him to enter this world on a professional level and to want to share his knowledge of him wherever he would go.

At the age of 13 the curiosity to know his own origins led him to Sweden and already at the age of 14 he was working in a military canteen learning the basics of cooking techniques. From there begins the stairway to success, entering to work among the best kitchens in Stockholm. A hushed whisper that works its way into a complete explosion of self-expressed freedom, the hooky tune celebrates the best kind of love one can possibly hope for: the love of oneself.

Written by Russell, along with Lauren McLamb and Rob Sewell, the meditative song finds the singer-songwriter reflecting on a trying past relationship and, more specifically, is a deep dive into how she’s come to find self-love and acceptance amid turmoil.

“I wrote ‘Redemption’ because I process life through music and this song is what came out of a painful breakup,” Russell says. “There was a time when I placed all my value in someone else’s hands. But, eventually, I had to realize I was constantly being tossed between ‘I love you’ and ‘I don’t love you,’ I wrote this song with Lauren McLamb & Rob Sewell. This song represents my decision to no longer be the person you come back to when it’s convenient. My telling him ‘it’s over,’. I found my redemption in being alone and admitting to myself, ‘I don’t deserve this,’ which lead me to a door I’d been craving to open… I finally realized my worth by looking to God, then letting the truth that ‘I am loved,’ sink in. Now I know, no guy, nor anyone else, can take that away from me. I am loved and, now, that’s my redemption.”

A 25-year-old Nashville native, Russell – a descendant of music royalty as the granddaughter of the late country legend Loretta Lynn – became an instant fan-favorite on Idol following the viral audition performance of her evocative, self-penned and incredibly revealing song “skinny.”

American Idol season 22 finalist Triston Harper has released his original song “H.O.P.E.” today. Listen here, via 19 Recordings / BMG Nashville. A plaintive blues-soaked lament, the swampy song is anchored by a rootsy, mature vibe that’s become the teenager’s calling card throughout his journey on Idol.

“Hope stands for hold on, pain ends/where’s the joy when you need it?” Harper croons at the self-penned song’s hook, and you can feel the equalparts pain and deep-set understanding emanating from the depths of his soul.

’H.O.P.E’ is a song that means so much to me because it helped me get through the worst time in my life,” Harper says. “I was in the mood to write one day so I propped up my phone and started recording. This song kinda just poured out of me. I’ve seen a lot in my life and as I was writing it, it almost felt like I just needed to get all of that out in song.”

At only 15-years-old, the McIntosh, Alabama native Harper quickly propelled himself to fan-favorite status on the 22nd season of American Idol. He advanced to the Top 5. Harper, who first discovered his love of music via his grandfather’s Johnny Cash records, is a proud member of the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians.

Written by Blocker, the self-penned song is specifically a tribute to the singer-songwriter’s wife, Georgia, whom he credits with not only encouraging him to continue pursuing his career in music but also standing by his side throughout the bumps and bruises of pursuing a creative livelihood.

“I wrote ‘All Of Yours (To Give All Of Mine)’ about my wife supporting me during the dog days of trying to make a career in music,” Blocker says. “I’d been working at it for a while now - all the three years of our marriage and then some - but hadn’t yet broken through enough to support our family financially. If it were just up to me, I would’ve quit a while ago and found a steadier job, but she’s encouraged me over and over again through failure and uncertainty to keep going. This song is a love letter to Georgia and a reminder to myself of what’s truly valuable.”

Nicollette has been surrounded by music her entire life. Both of herparents are singers; herdad was the lead singer in a hard rock band and her mom sang back up for various bands. Exposed to hard rock and metal from dad and Soul, R&B, Classical, and Funk from mom, Nicollettehad a diversemusical experience growing up. Meanwhile, with her mom and grandmother, she was steeped in classic, black and white films, and period pieces. It was watching thesefilms that led to Nicollette’s discovery of some of the artists that influenced her musical development; Such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Nina Simone. The inviting state of New Hampshire is hurrying into summer. Its harsh and frozen winter conditions not only have passed, but also have prepared the way for the season’s splendor. Babbling brooks coursing to lakes, greening and growing hardy forests, and windswept rock slab summits announce a much-anticipated and short-lived time of year. For generations, there is a shared appreciation for summer in New Hampshire.

Nestled in the heart of northern New England, New Hampshire is beloved by generations of summer residents and visitors. Its natural landscape and charming towns welcome a variety of activities and experiences. Besides its motto “Live Free or Die” which hints at the state’s personality, it is known as the Granite State because of its source and use of granite. The White Mountains are one of the most striking parts of the state, with climatic extremes, especially on Mount Washington, which holds the world-record wind speed.

On other nearby mountains are the Appalachian Mountain Club huts, America’s first mountain hut shelter system, seasonally and by reservation, with each hut about a day’s hike apart. Any hike should consider ability, preparation, and official advisories, and New Hampshire offers a vast range of hikes from technical ascents to gentle paths.

In the White Mountain and other regions, even kid-friendly hikes offer spectacular trails with rushing cascades, rocky ledges, fragrant flowers, and panoramic summit views. Hikes such as Arethusa Falls, Mount Major, Lonesome Lake, and Mount Kearsarge are popular for good reason. The Flume Gorge also is a well-liked excursion for its natural chasm, falls, and pools. Mountain towns such as Littleton and Bethlehem offer festivals, shops, and restaurants, and Franconia is home to the Cannon Mountain aerial tramway offering spectacular views of majestic mountains, rolling hills, and valleys as far as neighboring Canada.

Just as popular as its mountains are the lakes of New Hampshire – hundreds of them! Situated in the aptly named Lakes Region, New Hampshire’s largest lake, Lake Winnipesaukee, has been a summer destination for over a century, along with Wolfeboro, one of the nation’s oldest summer resort towns. With its lake homes, beaches, swimming, islands, and boating, Winnipesauke’s glistening water can be toured aboard the narrated cruise of the M/S Mount Washington. Visitors to the Lakes Region like to discover the boardwalk and arcade, ice cream shops, boutiques, adventure parks, and summer concerts.

Lake Sunapee, Newfound Lake, and lakes in other regions of New Hampshire also long have been popular homes and destinations for their natural beauty, along with nearby communities. For a wilderness lake experience, Lake Umbagog and Lake Francis in the Great North Woods Region also offer the opportunity to view some of New Hampshire’s beautiful wildlife.

The Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee Region is home of Dartmouth College, and the vibrant campus is lively with students and others enjoying college lectures, musical concerts, and diverse customs and traditions. In New London, the Barn Playhouse is one of the oldest continuously operating summer theatres in the country. Other theatres, along with art galleries, can be found in the Monadnock Region.

An array of New Hampshire’s architecture, including its church steeples, clock towers, and traditional architecture dot the landscape of the Merrimack Valley, which is the location of the New Hampshire capitol in Concord.

Finally, summer in New Hampshire welcomes a visit to its spectacular seacoast. Along with the lively and legendary Hampton Beach, with its beachfront strip of stores and restaurants, are longtime residential and working ocean communities. Portsmouth, one of New Hampshire’s best-known cities, also offers music, art, theatre, and the outdoor history museum of Strawbery Banke. There, visitors can explore and learn about more than 350 years of history in a waterfront neighborhood. For a seacoast adventure, the options include paddling or kayaking in the bay, whale watching, or self-guided trails and parks. The refreshing breezes from the Atlantic Ocean remind visitors there is something special about summer in New Hampshire.

You can catch me in two new projects: playing Hot Sauce in “Diarra from Detroit” on BET+ and in “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” with Eddie Murphy, on Netflix, where I portray Officer Moore, a parking enforcement officer. These roles are a perfect fit for where I am in my career right now—allowing me to showcase my acting range to the fullest.

Her talent is out of this world—she never fails to captivate audiences with her depth and versatility. Its culture resonates deeply with my African heritage, from the rich variety of regional cuisines to the warmth of its people and vibrant traditions. It’s fascinating to see how similar values like loyalty, friendship, and honor shape both Sicilian and African families. It reminds me to value beauty in all its forms and celebrate life—I couldn’t be happier.

THE PERSON I’VE BEEN MOST STARSTRUCK BY IS: I’m still on the lookout for the classic Hollywood mystique. However, there’s a stellar lineup of icons with contemporary allure whom I would love to meet— Glenn Close, Denzel Washington, Donatella Versace, Quentin Tarantino, Whoopi Goldberg, Rihanna, and Janet Jackson. WHAT DID YOU DREAM OF BECOMING WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER? Since I was homeschooled, I’ve always loved to teach. The way I would learn would be by setting up a “classroom” in my bedroom and teaching my toys. This also tied into my love of make believe. When I started acting age 4, it was a way for me to play make believe every day, so I was thrilled. Fast forward to a few years ago, I actually started teaching acting in tandem with being a working actor. I’m living both of my dreams, every day. My degree in psychology helps me to expand my knowledge when I’m teaching and working, so I am quite literally, “living the dream”.

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION? Myself. My mum has taught me to be my own motivation. If someone else is your source of motivation or happiness, then you will not be motivated or happy enough by yourself. I work every day to be a better version of myself in order to continue growing and making the world a better place. I have a strong team around me, family, friends, professionals that encourage and support my ideas and visions. But it comes down to me wanting it and putting in the time and effort. Things don’t just happen. Every time I accomplish something, or am working towards something, I can also credit myself for it because no one else is going to do the work for me.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT? My latest film is “Karma: Death at Latigo Springs” which is a film I wrote, starred in, and produced. This film is very near and dear to my heart because of the amount of work I put into it. It was a new experience to be a lead and the writer and on the ground producing at the same time. it takes an awful lot of work and support to manage all three aspects. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing cast of Tony Todd, Natasha Henstridge, Rich Ting, Terry Hu, Pearce Joza, Matt Cornett, and more. All these people are so talented and to see them bring my vision to life was magical.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE? “Nothing is impossible. The word itself says I’m possible” - Audrey Hepburn. I live by this quote. It reminds me to keep pushing and keep going no matter what. It is very easy to give up in the industry as there are a million “no’s” before you get a “maybe”, but this quote tells me that I have the strength to keep going. It also teaches me that we are in charge of our own destiny, and that just by sitting around things aren’t going to happen. If you want to make something happen then you have to keep going.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE LOOK LIKE? Generally I start my day with a cup of tea and meditation outside connecting to my body, mind and spirit. I love to listen to nature and feel connected to the earth. I set up my day in meditation and think and feel gratitude for my life and the things I desire to manifest. I am then off to mum life in the kitchen, helping my two young boys get ready for school. I take them to school and start work within school hours. I have decided that I want to be present with my children and bring them up and arrange my life to have work-life balance to ensure I have the most of the mother’s experience. I often enjoy a restful afternoon with the kids after school, and a nice walk in nature or dinner with friends and family. I love to get lots of rest mid-week, so we like early nights connecting together.

WHAT DID YOU DREAM OF BECOMING WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER? I always dreamed of being free. Free to do what I wanted in my personal life and my business life. So when I was 24, I started my very own business. I was free, however the business grew and all of a sudden I was in high demand and had staff while having children.

So after 5 years of this experience I decided to sell my successful insurance business and find more freedom! My husband and I pivoted and went on a journey of self-discovery healing deep inner soul wounds, and now we are helping others and being of service to people all around the world. We work from the portal of zoom, which can be anywhere in the world, and choose to be of service via online conscious classes and private transformational coaching. Now I feel I am truly free, I am in service to help the planet evolve and I have purpose. I feel like that is freedom.

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION? My source of motivation is seeing the world change over the last few years. Seeing the transformation within myself has given me a new perspective for what could be possible for others. So seeing people transform is my biggest motivator.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS? I feel like success is being present with your family. It’s feeling love from within. Success to me is knowing that I have done my best in every moment and that my intention is pure in that I want to help serve humanity for good.

Our latest project is a reality TV show, showcasing different modalities for people to heal and elevate their consciousness. So opening up people’s full potential by being the example.

WHAT DID YOU DREAM OF BECOMING WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER? Great question. My dreams changed drastically actually. As a real youngster, I wanted to be Goku from Dragon Ball Z, hah! But as I aged, I wanted to play professional sports, either in football or boxing. Eventually, I ended up wanting to follow in my father’s footsteps as a Navy Seal. It wasn’t until college that I realized I was being called out into a career in the arts. Quite the 180 from my other passions!

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION? My “why” and my faith. I genuinely believe I am on this planet for a reason and that reason is to help other people. When times are tough in the industry, which is inevitable, I can always lean into my motivation of knowing this is what I’m called to do... and this career can position me best for a platform to help others with whatever it is they’re going through. That motivates the heck out of me.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT? Well, I just wrapped an Amazon show filming in Seoul that was quite fun, but technically my “latest” is actually a film titled RIDE, which I wrote and produced. WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION?

I would have to say that the biggest source of motivation for me, is my family. I think that probably is true for a lot of people. It’s the reason why I get up every day and find a reason to keep going. Without that, I don’t know where I would be or what my mental state would be. I draw motivation from other things as well; inspiration from people I admire and respect, but I think that even the mundane can motivate me and often times it’s more of the things that are adversary in my life that motivate me more than anything, because it pushes me to try to overcome. The challenges and failures in life are what define success, because without them, I don’t believe there would be much meaning in anything, or impetus to accomplish anything.

WHAT WAS YOUR DREAM AS A CHILD? I always wanted to be an entertainer, but because my parents were both in the legal profession, they wanted me to become a lawyer. So, I always assumed I would eventually go to law school. But around the time when I turned 30, I (and they) had fully accepted that I am an actress, mind, heart, and soul.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT?  I am collaborating with producer Steven Clay Walker for his upcoming film Music Is Priceless. My character, Jessica, is a 40-year-old woman struggling with self-esteem and pushed to the limit by personal challenges. She must face her inner self to find courage and learn to love herself again. Jessica is unaware of her passion for music. She brings inspiration, happiness, and joy to others in unexpected ways and places. Additionally, I secured a lead role in a project set in Sweden alongside producer and director Gabriel Dorobantu, with production scheduled to begin in the fall of 2024. This film is slated to open at the Cannes Film Festival.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE?  “True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the passion that she shows. And the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”

True beauty comes from within. I realized through my years of experience that the outside appearance is just superficial. In this line of business, it is common to see a beautiful face. Competition can also be tough, but what many people forget is that a person’s integrity and inner beauty is more important than their outward appearance. Every one of us has insecurities, even those who seem to be flawless and confident. This life quote reminds me that I should continue nurturing and developing my inner self or inner beauty, because when we are good to others - when we are kind and sincere in our actions - we become more confident and feel good about ourselves. This makes it possible for us to be happy about ourselves and for the success of others, especially our colleagues.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE LOOK LIKE?

Normally my days are as hectic as my costumes! I wake up, guzzle 2-3 cups of coffee before even acknowledging consciousness, then do aonce-over of my costume supplies to see if inspiration strikes. On a good day, I come up with some unhinged idea on the spot and work until the sun goes down, then, depending on the costume, finish up the next day and the next! My apartment is full of glitter and hot glue 24/7.

WHAT DID YOU DREAM OF BECOMING WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER? For the longest time I wanted to be an author, or even a poet. Then when I got a little order, I turned to other people’s stories instead of my own and became super invested in the idea of producing documentaries. They’re all things I’d still love to do.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS? Right now I’d love to wake up in a state other than fight or flight. Oops! But overall, I prioritize my health and my family, and see success as being surrounded by people and projects that fulfill and continually inspire me.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT? I’ll be attending San Diego Comic-Con for the first time this year! It feels like a right for passage for any nerd, so I’m super excited for that. Personally, I’m looking forward to taking the crafting skills I use for cosplay and applying them to more mixed media projects in the coming months. It’s an artsy fartsy girl summer! We’ll see any of it ends up on the internet.

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION? My family is the biggest motivator. From the moment we found out my wife was pregnant with Jaidyn, I knew I had so much more to live for. My ultimate goal was always my family therefore I feel so fulfilled already. Moving to Hollywood from Ohio was scary but I knew failure was bigger than me. If I was single, I can sleep in my car or make ends meet, but with a child that was never an option. My work ethic is a direct reflection of providing for my family. There is no bigger motivation than providing for your wife and kids.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT? My latest project is called forty-seven days with Jesus. I play the lead role of Peter in the film. The story follows a family in turmoil as they discover love in the present day while using stories from the Bible to help bring the power of forgiveness into perspective. It’s a great project that I get to showcase my musical talent in as well. I also just wrapped a couple episodes of General Hospital which is set to release this summer. I have my debut album on the way, that will release alongside my daughter’s debut album as well. You will see myself and my family in a few commercials throughout the rest of the year, and I have an E-Course called RESIDUAL ACTOR that will be launching. It covers in great detail a blueprint I created and used for the success of my family within this industry, and covers how to become a full time Commercial actor. Finally, I am in the developmental phase for a couple projects that I will be producing soon. I always find something to do. lol

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE LOOK LIKE? When I’m not working on a set....I’m a morning person, so I’m up around 5:30am. I’m grateful that I get to start my days from a creative place in my home recording studio. So I’ll do a physical and vocal warm-up, and then perform some voiceover work for a couple of hours. I’ll then work out at home – either circuit training with weights or do some Pilates/core-strengthening work. I’ll then catch up on my email/work. I’ll spend the rest of my day studying scripts, auditioning, directing, coaching other actors, or volunteering in the various Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) committees that I serve. I also fill my day with eating healthy nutritious (mainly whole) food. I end the day with dinner and relaxing with my husband and daughter.

WHAT DID YOU DREAM OF BECOMING WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER? When I was a kid, I always dreamt of being a Detective or Private Investigator. I thought it was cool to solve crimes and catch the bad guy. And that dream did come true, when I got to play a Detective in several projects in my career.

MY FAVORITE DESTINATION IS... Florence, Italy! But it might be Cinque Terre, Italy after I visit there in October.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS? Success is knowing your life is filled with abundance, and continuing to learn and grow as a person and artist.

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION?

My greatest source of motivation comes from several people who have deeply influenced my life and career. First and foremost, my mother. She always pushed me to believe in the impossible. She was a woman full of courage and passion, dedicated to making the world a better place. Thanks to her, I learned to be curious and consistent in my work. As an entrepreneur, I have been inspired by great leaders like Richard Branson. However, two professionals in the Hollywood industry have particularly influenced the creation of Elevate. Kevin Huvane from CAA inspired me to become an entrepreneur and to always try to stay one step ahead of the industry’s future. His visionary spirit is a daily source of inspiration. Jason Weinberg from Untitled Entertainment is another role model. His passion for his profession, his love for artists, and his open-mindedness taught me the importance of valuing each individual, no matter who they are or where they come from. His human and dedicated approach to his clients and team is something I strive to emulate every day in my own work.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT?

My latest project has been the creation with my beautifull associates (Virginie lacombe and Daniel Blanc) of our production company Imagineers Studio. Our unique and original idea is to revive forgotten European comics superheroes through live-action films and series. Currently, we are financing our series on the first French superheroine called “L’oiselle,” created in 1911, and a film about one of the most popular superheroes in Europe, “Fantax,” created in 1946.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE LOOK LIKE?

There is no typical day! If I’m in NY on a Wednesday; it’s yoga and breakfast with my neighbor and probably seeing a couple theater shows. In Panama, a long walk and fresh coconut water and a lot of binge streaming or painting. Half of the year, I am traveling the world and so it’s just walking around a new country, people watching, seeing art and talking with strangers.

WHAT DID YOU DREAM OF BECOMING WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER? I dreamed of being on ALL MY CHILDREN. I Dreamed of winning a Tony Award!

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION? Source of motivation, hmmm my curiosity. I am truly interested in everything and everyone’s story.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS? I would define success in this capitalistic societies as not being on too short a leash and having some freedom to do what you want when you want to and to not have to do too many things that you don’t want to do.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT? Well, my next project is walking the 600 mile Camino Del Norte across Spain and Portugal. I am also in season 7&8 of SISTAS on BET and in season 2 of Goosebumps. And my play JEFFREY MANOR will have a salon presentation at The Apollo Theater in Harlem in April 2025.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT? My latest project is Pharmacy Mentors, an expansive community that brings together pharmacy professionals from over 50 specialties on a global scale. This initiative is designed to foster collaboration, provide mentorship, and promote professional growth within the pharmacy field. It’s a comprehensive platform where pharmacists can share knowledge, seek guidance, and support each other in their careers.

One of my favorite quotes is by Tom Bodett: “In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you are given a test that teaches you a lesson.” This quote resonates deeply with me as it highlights the fundamental difference between structured education and the unpredictable nature of life. WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION? Without a doubt, my family. It is my mission to be the best possible example I can and do my best to achieve for my fiance, my daughter, and to honor my parents, grandparents, teachers- all of the wonderful, generous, loving people who sacrificed and poured into me throughout my life- by striving for success.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS? I define success as discovering one’s calling or purpose in life and taking consistent action and commitment to achieve it. I truly believe that success is all about the journey. The Entertainment industry is certainly a rollercoaster ride full of many highs and lows, and I certainly have experienced my fair share of both- and I am thankful for them all. I had a series on Primetime within a year of graduation, but it took a few years until I got another major television role. Through the years- I have always tried to keep my creative fire alivethrough Voiceover, Stage, Comedy- and I feel I have grown as an artist and as a person through it all!

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT? I have been having a blast playing Green Lantern on the new Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Video Game. The Justice Leaguers (Superman, Batman, Green Lantern et. al) have all turned evil. I get to play a traditionally good guy as an anti-hero. I also play a fun role on the new show, Mind Your Business, on Bounce TV.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE LOOK LIKE? I start my day slowly, having coffee with my boyfriend, and walking our French Bulldog “Ernie”. Then I go running. Exercise has always been an important part of my life. A portion of my day is working on whatever needs to be done for my film production company, Good Rebel Pictures, which includes attending to business, reading scripts, writing or working on acting. I am a psychotherapist, so I also see clients throughout the week. This keeps my plate very full. Since I’ve found a relationship that I’m happy in, I look forward to dinners with my boyfriend, and I’m just fine decompressing at home after work. Who ever thought I’d appreciate board games?

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST SOURCE OF MOTIVATION? My boyfriend and co-founder of Good Rebel Pictures, Rich Ronat. I know that he thoroughly believes in me, and what we are creating together.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS? Personal fulfillment, and making a positive impact on others.

WHAT’S YOUR LATEST PROJECT? We premiered our debut feature film “Culprit” in late June. It’s a crime thriller that keeps the audience guessing until the very end. I play Lucy, the co-lead, who is desperate to find her sister’s true killer. We are already planning to start filming our second feature in the fall. Rich wrote a riveting thriller called “Seven Suspects”, that includes another incredible character for me to play. I can’t wait to get back on set.

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU? I am a proud Indigenous Mi’gmaq woman from the First Nations community of Listuguj Quebec Canada. I am the youngest of 9 children. I have 3 children, (Son) Darcy 35, (daughter) Alexandria 33, and (son) Kevin 31. I have 6 grandchildren as well. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Human Rights and Indigenous Studies, a Bachelors degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Social Work. I am also a clinical esthetician and permanent make up artist.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO DO WHAT YOU DO? Passion for the arts!

After I graduated from university, I set my sights on climbing the ladder to a directors position within the social work field. That goal was reached in 2017 when I was hired as an associate director. I was ecstatic that I reached my goal! But it wasn’t long into that position when I knew that this was not for me. Something was missing but I couldn’t’ put my finger on it. I eventually took on another position in 2018 still in the social work field but this time as a Life Skills Coach and Counsellor where I taught workshops on healing and overcoming past traumas. I loved this position because healing was something I was very passionate about because I was battling depression myself after the sudden death of my brother in 2003. In the years after my brother’s death, I lost 4 sisters and then my parents and was also in the middle of a divorce in 2016. It was in this position I was teaching these workshops that I had collapsed from mental exhaustion from everything I was dealing with. I decided then and there that I needed to practice what I preached and take some time off work to get better. It was then that I had picked up a paint brush for the first time. I began painting characters for my grandchildren and posting them on social media. Almost instantly I began receiving requests for paintings. Then a co-worker asked me to paint him an abstract eagle and instantly I thought “I can’t do that.” He believed in me and said “just try it.” I did and he loved it! This is when I decided that I was going to try my own designs but had no clue what that was until I found 2 artist mentors who basically told me to look no further than what was in my heart which made total sense to me and I began a series of healing pieces that reflected my own healing journey such as my Transformation and Sun Catcher paintings. The Sun Catcher painting was the first one I did with dots using a tooth pick. When I finished it my grandson said “that’s you Gram”. I had no idea at the time I was painting myself and the new found love I had for myself. This is where the story of Sun Catcher came from…my story which I also call “our story” because no matter what our traumas are in life we basically go through the same emotions. In the moment I don’t always realize the impact my paintings will have on me. The memories they will breathe to life, the emotional toll they may take, or the impact they will create around my work. What I do know is that before Sun Catcher, I believed my life was over. The universe, it seemed, had thrown everything at me and like so many of my sisters before me, I was ready to let the Earth take me...to devour my soul. I’m not sure what my awakening was, but it can only be described as a revelation. There came a point in my life where I realized that everything I was going through, everything I had been through and my life experiences up until this point had all prepared me for this moment. That life, despite all it had caused me to suffer and sacrifice was actually giving me valuable lessons. Lessons that were priming me for my inner greatness that was only realized after the veil of darkness was lifted from my spirit. I wake up each morning with these lessons I call gifts. I wrap those gifts around myself and imagine reaching out to that beautiful sun in an effort to catch its strength, its beauty and its purpose to rise each day, and to draw all that back into my spirit. To catch all the good, to feel the deep love I now have for myself and to embrace the opportunities that may have passed me by had my eyes not been opened. I am so thankful for the path my life has taken that I can only look to the Stars each night as I whisper to them a prayer for the morning sun. I know now that there is nothing in life I cannot overcome. There is nothing in life you cannot overcome. Our strength is not in who we once were, but in who we are destined to become. We are Sun Catchers!

What was meant to be an outlet for my stress had evolved into a full blown successful business.

HOW AND WHEN DID YOU DECIDE THAT YOU WANTED TO DESIGN CLOTHES AND ACCESSORIES? It was about 3 years into painting that I decided to put my art on a wallet. As time went on customers wanted more purses and blankets. That’s when I began doing tons of research for suppliers. Most recently I moved into putting my art on clothing. My boyfriend Justin had a vision for my art on mens dress shirts and kept encouraging me to start designing them. He was after me for 2 years before I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I didn’t think it would do that well but as Justin said “babe its going to blow up” and it sure did! My men’s shirts are a big hit!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE FOR SOMEONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO BE PART OF THE ART WORLD? Invest in your craft! Believe in your craft and trust that if you really want to make it in the world of business that you need to have faith that it will happen for you. Use positive affirmations about where you want your business to be in 5 years or in 10 years and visualize it. Don’t take the easy street and by this I mean do your own research. Don’t ask other businesses to share their suppliers with you because we have spent hundreds of hours researching and locating suppliers and thousands of dollars sampling their products to ensure the quality and style to meet the standards of carrying your name on their merchandise. By doing this you will have a deep-rooted investment into your business. You will be very well versed in the fine details of where you have come and where you want to go. This is crucial for business expansion when applying for business loans etc.

A Sweet Sixteen for Pink Pump Affair

Where do I begin? Let’s start with Areva Martin, a woman with a heart of gold, who cares about people’s well being and is knowledgeable and very proactive. Areva is a true inspiration and I’m very pleased to be a part of her vision. Areva is a multi- award winning civil rights lawyer, TV Talk Show.Host and CNN Legal Analyst. The Pink Pump Affair celebrated its Sweet Sixteen anniversary of changing lives by raising funds in a fashionable way. We all love to dress up and attend fashion shows, so what a perfect pairing. In addition to this, there was the pink carpet that we get to walk and take amazing photos for our memories and we got to catch up with familiar faces that have been inspiring and supporting others over the years. The event took place at the Iconic Beverly Wilshire Hotel and we got to preview a fashion show from Taibo Bacar, Vera Wang, Cynthia Rowley, Yukio, Catherina Mina and Paul Maslow. This is truly iconic because it a show of shows and being a fashionista, I was inspired by looking at the runway and getting to see what trends are coming and we got to meet up with upcoming designers while also enjoying the ones we already know. Thank you for the inspiration and continuation of giving back.
