Leading Epwin Window Systems installer Oswestry Windows and Doors Ltd has invested in the power of virtual reality technology to bring products to life in consumers’ homes. Owner Matthew Dunne-Smith says: “VR technology is proving transformational for us. We have secured several large-scale domestic installations because it’s given our customers a completely new dimension for visualising their home improvements that completely blows their minds.”

Virtual reality is the next-level in homeowner visualisation. Used in TV makeover programmes such as Your Home Made Perfect, the technology creates a virtual scene of the completed installation. Every detail, including furniture placement, is featured, giving consumers the opportunity to walk around and see exactly how it will look from the inside and exterior of the property.

To illustrate the difference it makes, one Oswestry Windows and Doors customer reported: “We saw the drawings and they were absolutely amazing, but putting the VR goggles on brought the whole project to life and just made us say ‘Yes, we want to go ahead right now.’”
