For many years glass tables have always been associated with transparency, now with new advancements in glass technology we can offer you a massive range of colour and surface finishes that can truly enhance your dining experience. We love the purity of transparent all glass tables because they help to add space to confined areas however the addition of colour can offer something different and truly enhance the feel of your room. Lighter colours will make the room and table feel lighter, while darker colours will make your table more prominent and add richness and warmth. For a contemporary feel and to make a statement don’t forget to check out some of the brighter colours or luxury finishes which are available. In addition to colours many of our items can now be ordered in Frosted / Acid Etch glass finishes or both combining both colour and Acid etch. These finishes give a matt texture to the table surface - great if you are looking for all the advantages of glass but without the high gloss.
A clear design trend at present is to choose the same colour and finishes for both the top and base (or legs) this gives the product more impact and a purity of form.
USEFUL TO KNOW: Extra Clear and Standard Glass:
Did you know that you can now choose from two types of transparent glass on many of our tables. Standard clear glass is identified by the dark green edge and also a slight green tint when looking through the body of glass (Shown below Right). This tint is quite subtle and the majority of furniture is made using this glass. Extra Clear Glass is now becoming more and more popular. The glass itself is almost entirely without tint when viewed through the body of material and the edge has more of a crystal blue tint (show below Left). Extra clear glass is also sometimes known as low iron glass.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN IS SIT AROUND MY NEW DINING TABLE? We are often asked by clients as to how many people or chairs can they can fit around a chosen table? This will vary depending on the size and style of table and also the style of chair you choose. This useful guide will help you determine the correct size of table you will need. The number of people you seat around a table can normally be worked out roughly from the size of the table top, however it is always a good idea to consider a number of factors to make sure the choice is right for you. It’s always good to start with table shape, think about what shape will work in your room. Sometimes circular or oval tables can offer slightly more space in the room but still accommodate the same amount of people as the rectangular or square version. The position of the table legs can also play a part in determining the seating numbers. Central columns offer the most space around the perimeter of the table, while more traditional legs, positioned on the edge, can offer more space underneath.
