These positions are temporary part-time positions of 25 hours per week. Commencing on 21st January 2015 – 11th December 2015. It is anticipated that the successful applicants would be available to work Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am and 3pm during school weeks. The current pay rate is $23.11 per hour as per Teacher Aides Award Classification TA2 level 1. These positions will involve Teacher Aides working predominantly with Junior Secondary students. The successful applicants will be assisting with in-class support and one-on-one support, with a specific focus on literacy and numeracy. In order to make season 2015 their strongest yet, BeeGees are getting a jump start on the new season by holding soccer trials for both Junior and MiniRoo teams at the Glasshouse Mountains Sports Club. These trials will give the club an opportunity to establish teams early and allow an opportunity for new players to get a taste of playing for the BeeGees. So if your child is planning on donning the green and white in season 2015, make sure they don’t miss out on the upcoming trials. Navigation quest through the Beerburrum State Forest

Want a great way to get fit? Why not grab your friends and family and try orienteering on a bike and / or by foot this weekend? Sunshine Orienteers are holding a navigation quest through the Beerburrum State Forest on Sunday, November 16. The non-profit community based sports club is interested in keeping people active and healthy by offering orienteering courses that can be undertaken riding a bike or running in the forest on a fun navigational adventure. Three orientation courses will be offered on the day. ‘BIKE O’ scatter starts at 8.00am and involves 75 minutes of navigational riding or early return. ‘COMB O’ starts at 8.00am and involves a 75 minute bike ride and a choice of your own run leg and ‘FOOT O’ commences at 9.30am and offers a choice of a 1.5km run (very easy navigation) to a 7.8km course (hard navigation).
