Logistics Materials As we’ve aligned before hand, here’s a list of must have materials that you should bring with you. •Your home country flag (it’ll attract the public to your stand) •Objects that represent and symbolize the culture from your country (it’ll cause curiosity within the public, helping the iteraction between you and them) •Ambient decor (Use your creativity to decor the place and your desk. Just make sure to not glue things on walls) •If you want to show videos from your country to better illustrate your examples, you can. Bring them in a pen drive and deliver them to Angelica, so she can put on the TV.
Typical dishes Even being related to the materials topic, the typical food deserves it’s own space! It’ll be very interesting if you can bring typical dishes, so feel free to make your own dish. The public will certainly love it! It’ll attract and help even more the interaction between you and the public, besides the questions and curiosities that will follow. If you’re in need in of help to find a specific ingredient for the making of your dish, look for help from any AIESEC in Santos member. We highly recommend to not prepare any alcoholic drink. You can bring it to expose, but alcohol will be strictly prohibited to be consumed throughout the event.

Logistics Music In the local we’ll have a sound system which will be used to play ambient music and that will be used by you guys in specific moments of the agenda. So, that way, we ask you guys to bring a pen drive with you or send your typical songs to Angelica (angelica.garcia2@aiesec.net or 55 13 99128-4160). The kind of music you’ll bring is up to you. Whether it’s folklorical, most popular among your friends, well known songs from your country, an artist that is famous in your country, etc. Just make sure that the music is appropriated for all ages and publics (don’t bring musics with foul words, sexual meaning, etc).
Clothes During the event we highly suggest you to use typical clothes from your country, city or province. In case you don’t brought any typical cloth with you, you’re free to use jeans pants, white (or similar) t-shirts or the t-shirt from a football, rugby, etc. team from your country. You should use tennis, sneaker or something confortable.

How to act • During the Global Village, you'll see a lot of difference faces. Some might approach your stand but will be shy, simply because they don't know how to speak Spanish or English. Try to be polite and kind with them. Say "hi" and start a conversation. They don't bite! • Avoid to cross your arms, also avoid to talk just between you and your friends. It's an unique moment for you to interact with the public. Think about your role as an ambassador of your country! • Avoid stopping in front of your or any other trainee stand. That way, you’ll be blocking the view from the visitor and they’ll not feel welcome to hear what you and your friends have to talk about your country and culture. • If you’re from AIESEC, you already know this, but if you’re not a member, avoid talking about any hard situation between you, your host family or AIESEC (whether it’s from Santos or from your country). • Remember that Global Village is here as an opportunity to not only you showcase your culture but for AIESEC in Santos increase it’s reach in Santos and its neighbor cities. Do your best to promote us so we can have even more host families experiencing cultures from all over the world, more brazilians going abroad and more citizens becoming members of our committee!
