After a year of planning the Spotong Women in Business event, not even we could anticipate how well it would go. To say that our expectations were surpassed would be an understatement. In association with the Gauteng Liquor Forum, the South African Liquor Traders Association, and the National Tourism and Hospitality Association, Spotong magazine managed to pull together 800 small business owners – all women – into Dlamini Hall in Soweto. With the support of our sponsors’, amazing speakers and other media, we pulled off what was one of the most talked-about event of the year.

The fashion was out of this world, absolutely stunning

A great many prizes were won, including a double-door business fridge and two A2pay point-of-sale systems worth R50,000!

At Spotong we are extremely humbled by the opportunity to be able to host such events for the township business owner. As we promised, this will remain an annual event, and next year will be even bigger.

This year we got a lot of media support from Pulpit Radio, Cliff Central, Soweto TV, Social TV, SABC Morning live, Jozi FM and other media. We could not be any more grateful for the support we received. We would like to thank our partners and sponsors, without whom Women In Business would not have been possible.
