Explore watercolor and water-media techniques beyond the traditional including the strong use of shapes and values in composition; color and color mixing; brushwork; using inks, gouache, water-soluble pastel crayons, and other materials that add interest to your artwork. From multiple photo subjects, you will create compositions that reflect your unique point of view. Some experience in watercolor is desirable. Students develop their eye for abstraction, and explore abstract concepts and composition through individualized critiques and art history. First and every other class will be in person.
