T H E K N I G H TO N P H I LO S O P H Y: Knighton Countryside Management was established in 1989 as a forestry management business. We still manage an extensive area of woodland but have extended our operations to undertake a wide range of environmental and landscape contracting as well. We have a wide client base of landowners and have completed projects that vary from small plantings of 50 trees, to large scale projects of several hundred thousand trees that have enhanced the environment and created landscapes that will be enjoyed by the future generations. Our core staff of 30 makes us one of the largest dedicated woodland and conservation work-
forces in the South of England and between us we have a wealth of practical conservation experience. We own and operate a wide range of specialist plant and machinery which enables us to undertake all woodland and conservation operations. We are committed to the work we do because of our knowledge and love of the environment. The following pages provide an overview of the services we provide. Please do contact us and we will be happy to visit you and offer advice and solutions as necessary.

TREE AND HEDGE PLANTING Tree planting was the inspiration behind KCM over 20 years ago. Since then we have planted literally millions of trees, including hedging, broadleaf woodland, commercial conifer plantations, avenues and parkland trees.
KCM is the official Tubex stockist in the South West. We have huge stocks of tree shelters and planting accessories available throughout the year. We are also able to supply all your tree and hedging needs from our selection of preferred UK nurseries.

PROFESSIONAL WORK KCM is involved in the management of 3500 acres of woodland across Southern England. Our woodland management services cover every aspect of professional forestry work. We have extensive experience of woodland grant schemes and are able to manage every stage of the process from initial grant applications to the sale of timber and replanting thereafter. We also undertake tree surveys. There is a clearly defined duty of care for landowners to prevent accidents involving falling trees or branches. The process involves inspecting the trees, tagging and mapping them followed by the creation of a schedule of works required which we would be delighted to quote for and undertake if required.
