The dead bird is probably a migrant Falcon. How it got wedged in a hole in a tree is anyone's guess. Indeed, everyone is invited to guess.

Was it seeking prey inside the hole? Was it, itself a victim of a predator inside or outside the hole? Or some other bizarre event that Muthaiga birders might suggest.
