Eye was intrigued to see who enjoys a freebie came to the Club Sec’s introduction. Good turnout, fun evening, well organised, fine bar.
The new fella took time to reel off a long list of countries where he’s lived and worked and either he spends only a few months in each place or else he’s a man of, er, much lived experience. Eye thought it right to dig a little deeper, so adopted a low profile and slithered
across to the Movenpick Hotel. Turns out, on good authority, the tears wept over the former manager’s departure were neither joyous nor crocodilian – his team were genuinely sad to see him go. Imagine that! The auguries are promising… But back to the Christmas Draw, where Eye won a massive raspberry. Eye mean, how many tickets must Eye buy? Still, the event was a great success and – although the counted days of rich
hyperbole are over – it was in fact the most successful event (whisper it not abroad) EVER! Generous prizes, gracious winners, unlucky losers. Eye researched the odds of winning (about 3.8% - give or take a decimal place or two) and, undaunted, will try harder next year. After all, the more tickets you buy, the greater your chances of winning, right? Ho ho ho…
Letters to the Editor… Clearing up
Monkey footprints all over bedroom and bathroom walls, again. It is simply NOT TRUE to say they have been removed since last time. It’s time to clear up. CJ PS Hate the Menu for tea, too.
First Aid
Two skinned shins on the tennis court revealed a First Aid box woefully lacking anything useful and Staff not knowing the difference between antiseptic and antihistamine.FN

It is offensive to see guys in T-shirts, jeans and sneakers in the Popsy Bar. Is this Muthaiga Club? Standards are sinking. JD

We need separate parking areas for nonMembers and drivers. Between the ayahs, kids, drivers and ubiquitous mobile phones, the Club is becoming harder to love these days. RW
The Christmas Draw was SUCH a disappointment! Some Members won THREE prizes and I didn’t win anything! I don’t trust computers to draw the winners honestly - It’s not fair! BS
