As a Christian foundation, collective worship is central to Sherborne’s life. The whole School meets twice a week in the Abbey – an historic place of worship in whose shadow we are lucky to live and work. These services provide a time to come together as a community and reflect prayerfully on all that we do, and all that we wish to be.

Thanks to our full-boarding ethos, boys are busy with a packed programme of activities, academic study, co-curricular pursuits and an active social life seven days a week.

In this busy setting, it is vital that we look after our boys. That is why we provide individualised pastoral care, through our tutor system, our Boarding Houses, and through the ministry and presence of our Chaplain.

Housemasters and their teams are a crucial point of contact for boys and their parents, providing continuity at an important moment in the boys’ lives.
