Why do artist use Watercolors? With watercolor you can build up layers of colors while painting, from cascading wet washes to staccato dry brush ef fects, watercolors can produce painting ef fects which no other medium can match. If you are a beginner, or just want to test your hand a watercolor painting, beginner quality should be just fine.

BRUSHES ARE MADE OF SABLE HAIR
I recommend to start with round brushes, and add a flat brush if you want. CAN YOU USE SYNTHETIC BRUSHES FOR WATERCOLOR?
No, it is best to use a Natural brush as a synthetic brush like with acrylic paints, the chemicals in the acrylic paint can damage or break down the natural brushes. And even use oil and acrylic brushes for watercolor painting, it's useful to keep the brush wet during the painting session, but leaving a brush soaking in water for a long time can damage it. Avoid washing your roller/brush, instead, wrap it with cling wrap to keep it fresh. Enjoy Creating !!!

I am sure you must be thinking of painting your dream world with amazing ideas. Many fine versions of water color paintings rendered on paper, manuscripts, maps and miniatures can be found in our museums today and near your place. These Water color mediums were used to make portrait miniatures or create studies from nature. Water color paintings focused on depicting topography, as far as the writing goes. but over time much greater emphasis on capturing atmosphere was placed. Though, water color paints fade much faster than oil or acrylic paints when exposed to light. They lose their vibrancy and can look 'washed-out' very quickly. But the result is wonderful and makes your dream come true.
