IMPACT IN ACTION

GLOBAL AUTISM PROJECT
A CURRICULUM FOR LEADERSHIP Impact in Action™ is a 'Curriculum for Leadership' comprised of three sequential workshops: Foundation, Ascend, and Peak. The Impact in Action™ program is a transformational, experiential course in which all people impacted by autism can access and create new possibilities in their lives and careers.
foundation Impact in Action™ | Foundation workshop is designed to bring about powerful, transformational shifts in your career and your life —in just two days. You'll discover the way in which you interact with your thoughts and life itself; and in that discovery you'll learn to shape it. You'll gain control over the quality of your relationships, the way in which you lead in life and your career, and create new possibilities which previously existed outside of your understanding.
CREATE POSSIBILITY
ascend Impact in Action™ | Ascend picks up where Foundation left off! With an understanding of self, you can take the idea of action from an abstract concept to day-to-day application in life. You'll develop skills to recognize things as they really are—distinct from your wishes, goals, and fears. The Ascend workshop is a container for growth; a 'practice' community with whom you can try on new ways of being. You'll learn how your action and inaction impacts yourself and those around you.
TAKE ACTION
peak Impact in Action™ | Peak challenges you to step into a new space with a new perspective, then take action on day one. You'll expand your natural capacity for leadership and take on roles you've never played. In Peak, you'll learn to express your thoughts and ideas in a way that inspires alignment, co-creation, and ownership with others. In just two days, you'll design a project for your organization and watch your passion, expression, and vision come to life.
MAKE AN IMPACT
IMPACT IN ACTION™
FOUNDATION A 'DO WITH, NOT FOR' APPROACH TO LEADERSHIP Led by Founder and CEO, Molly Ola Pinney with over 25 years of leadership experience, Impact in Action™ | FOUNDATION is created and predicated on the belief that selfawareness is the key to leadership. Our Global
Autism
Project
team
has
been
providing unparalleled leadership coaching and transformational learning opportunities for our volunteer SkillCorps® leaders for the past five years. The impact they've made in the field and their own organizations has been unprecedented; and their requests to offer this training nationally has been heard.
Now offering, Impact in Action™ leadership training for US-based Autism Organizations!
This is filling the leadership, professional development and management training hole that as a BCBA we are just expected to magically fill after passing our exam. I talk with people in the field all the time about how managing and leading a team of talented RBTs is ESSENTIAL to our job, yet most have no training in doing so. TAYLOR, SKILLCORPS® LEADERSHIP GRADUATE
IMPACT IN ACTION™ FOUNDATION DAY ONE Communication Interpretation Awareness Authenticity
EVENT OVERVIEW Attendees are given an overview, a schedule, and a sense of what they can expect. We provide tips and suggestions for how to get the most value from the program, including advice from alumni. The schedule is reviewed, questions are asked and intentions are set to ensure participants can engage powerfully with the material and create transformation in their lives and careers in a short period of time.
WHO IS IN CONTROL? We explore the notion that our seemingly "objective" view is often filtered and even obscured by pre-existing notions and ideas – by our culture, our values, our past experiences. An awareness of these distortions and a recognition of the limits that they impose provides a glimpse of freedom. The way we interact with people, situations, and life begin to alter.
WHAT IS TRUE? In closing day one, we suggest the natural way in which we replace what happened with the story we create about what happened. Over time, the narrative we tell ourselves becomes our truth and reality. When we separate what happened from our interpretation, we discover the ways we've limited ourselves by a false reality. In this, we find ourselves free and open to change as we create or consider alternate interpretations.
"This experience was a major turning point in my life. I have felt historically like leadership has been something out of reach for me and I sought a big boost of confidence and inspiration from this experience." ANDREW, SKILLCORPS® LEADERSHIP GRADUATE
IMPACT IN ACTION™ FOUNDATION DAY TWO Integrity Ownership Action Language
THE DANGER OF BECAUSE Consider that one of the primary obstacles to effectiveness is the word, because. We use it to justify and reinforce obstacles, including fear, anxiety, doubt, and considerations– to determine how much we’ll risk, and to limit the range in which we live, giving because ultimate power and control. When we discover our relationship to because, we become powerful in the face of all obstacles.
WHAT IS ACTION? In this session, we define action and the impact of action. We then explore the difference between innovation and transformation, and the role in which both effect the impact of our action. While innovation yields alterations from what came before, transformation creates space for what's new and infinite. It is in this session of Impact in Action™ that a shift occurs for people, enabling new views of possibility.
IMPACT IN LANGUAGE In the final session, we explore the role language plays in the world as we know it. We then consider the power of language in creating new ways of being, acting, and living. In essence, language is the ultimate tool leaders must embrace and own to create powerful, intentional impact in action.
