l 2018 inició con el ConsumerElectronic Show (CES), el evento más importante de tecnología, no sólo porque reúne a miles de empresarios y espectadores, sino también porque el mundo entero posa su mirada en lo que allí sucede, en los lanzamientos que se suscitan y en todo lo inherente a la cita tecnológica más grande. Las más reconocidas marcas sacan a la luz sus más recientes innovaciones, mostrando en qué han estado invirtiendo su tiempo y recursos. Sin duda se trata de un verdadero banquete de lo que nos espera en el futuro, traído al presente.

Si bien es cierto que los productos que se presentan en el CES no siempre reflejan la tecnología que se podrá adquirir en un futuro cercano, la feria sí representa una idea de en qué están invirtiendo el tiempo y los recursos los gigantes de la tecnología, lo que sin duda concede un valor incalculable a este evento que este año se enfocó, entre otras innovaciones, en mejorar la comunicación entre los dispositivos inteligentes del hogar, colocar pantallas en los lugares inimaginables y hasta los juguetes robóticos inteligentes tuvieron participación.

While it is true that the products presented at CES do not always reflect the technology that can be acquired in the near future, the event itself represents an idea of what technological giants are investing time and resources on. The surprise factor was undoubtedly the protagonist of this edition of the largest technology conference in the world, because there is no previous presentation that matches what was seen there. Meaning that business people and spectators in general have more and more reasons to witness the event that sets the tone in relation to the technology that should be thought, budgeted and integrated in the upcoming months. There is no doubt that there is always a before and after each CES, as far as technology options are concerned.

Canon, Samsung, Sony, Intel, HP, LG, Epson, Acer, fueron algunas de las marcas que acapararon la atención de los visitantes del CES, debido a la gran variedad de innovaciones que presentaron, la mayoría de las cuales coincidía no sólo en originalidad y visión futurista, sino también en la facilidad que ofrecen a las tareas cotidianas de los usuarios. En CES hubo de todo y para todos: tabletas y laptops convertibles, dispositivos inteligentes para el hogar, realidad aumentada, robots que además de realizar tareas domésticas, proporcionan entretenimiento y compañía. También se pudo apreciar la presencia de la tecnología 5G, software de reconocimiento facial, que si bien no es nuevo, está dando cada vez pasos más agigantados. Asimismo, los drones, cuya aparición ya es esperada en este encuentro tecnológico mundial, estuvieron presentes con mayor número de funciones en un gadget cada vez más pequeño.

No hay duda de que el mensaje de este mago evento de la tecnología es uno solo: Estar preparado. ¿Para qué? Para todas las tendencias tecnológicas que están cada vez más cerca y al alcance de un entorno empresarial que desee mantenerse competitivo. La mayor satisfacción es haber apreciado las más recientes creaciones de esta gran industria, que evidenció una vez más el crecimiento imparable de la ciencia, la electrónica y todo lo bueno que depara el futuro cercano para el hombre.

Canon, Samsung, Sony, Intel, HP, LG, Epson, Acer, were some of the brands that captured the attention of CES visitors. Due to the great variety of innovations presented most of which coexist not only in originality and futuristic vision, but also in the ease that they offer to the daily tasks of the users. At CES there was everything for everyone: convertible tablets and laptops; smart home appliances; augmented reality; robots that in addition to performing domestic tasks, also provide entertainment and companionship. It was also possible to appreciate the presence of 5G technology, facial recognition software, although it is not new is taking giant steps forward. Desde el escenario en Las Vegas, el presidente de la compañía, Chris Crowley habló sobre la visión de Canon en desarrollar el MACHCAM120, una cámara de 120 megapíxeles que está siendo diseñada para aplicaciones de digitalización de alta resolución y visión artificial. Asimismo, también aprovecharon el máximo evento de tecnología a nivel mundial, para presentar un equipo que cuenta con un sensor CMOS de fotograma completo de 35 mm con una sensibilidad equivalente superior a 4.000.000 ISO, lo que permite capturar video casi en la oscuridad. Con esta nueva tecnología, Canon da un gran paso en el camino de la filmación, logrando así captar escenas que se desarrollen en entornos de muy poca luz. De igual forma, los nuevos lentes de Canon son ideales para que los fanáticos inmortalicen momentos increíbles en estadios deportivos de todo el mundo.

RyanOgle, cofundador y exjefe de Tecnología de Tinder, aprovechó el evento para presentar a Ripple (no confundirlo con la criptomoneda), una app móvil que busca subsanar los problemas que tiene LinkedIn en materia de usabilidad, solicitudes de conexión no deseadas y spam, entre otros, usando algunos de los principios que ayudaron a cimentar la popularidad de Tinder.

Ryan Ogle, co-founder and former Technology Manager of Tinder, took advantage of the event to present Ripple (should not to be confused with the cryptocurrency) a mobile app that seeks to solve the problems that LinkedIn has in terms of usability, unwanted connection requests, spam, among others by using some of the principles that helped solidify Tinder’s popularity.

A día de hoy una memoria SSD USB-C de Sandisk de esa capacidad y tamaño normal ronda los 350 dólares, y seguramente este nuevo producto supere ese precio.

Este acuerdo, que entre otras cosas define un nuevo ámbito de actividades para el 2019, es una actualización a la actual colaboración entre Nissan y la NASA y se basa en el éxito anterior. Desde hace 5 años el Ames de la NASA ha estado trabajando junto a Nissan, colaborando con investigadores del centro de investigación Nissan que se encuentra en Silicon Valley, California, para avanzar en nuevas tecnologías de sistemas de movilidad autónoma.

This agreement which among other things defines a new scope of activities for 2019, is an update to the current collaboration between Nissan and NASA and it builds on previous success. For 5 years the Ames of NASA has been working with Nissan, collaborating with researchers from the Nissan research center located in Silicon Valley, California to advance in new technologies of autonomous mobility systems.
