Iam so excited about the Badlands that I had to write about it twice. Now we’ve reached the peak. Badlands and First Edition outclass the competition and offer the very best Bronco Sport can. Both trim levels represent the pinnacle of off-road performance and come complete with everything an outdoor adventurer could want—and a few treats they didn’t know they needed.

Badlands (starting at $32,660) comes equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost Engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology—that’s 250 hp with 277 lb.-ft. of torque. Great news for drivers excited about Bronco’s terrain management system “G.O.A.T mode.” You’ll find two additional presets named “Mud/Ruts” and “Rock Crawl.” Badlands also features Advanced 4×4 with a twin clutch rear drive unit, balancing off-road capability with on-road performance.

Ford is only producing 2,000 First Edition models, only available in the 2021 model year. To secure one for yourself it will cost you $38,160 to start with, but this top-of-the-line model comes with everything Badlands boasts, and then some. With a Shadow Black-painted roof, black hood, side decals, and big black BRONCO lettering on the grille, First Edition drivers are sure to make a style statement.

The key features of these trims are the engine and the advanced 4×4 systems. Additional bash plates and

undercarriage armor turns these Bronco Sports into formidable off-roaders in their class. 4×4 Lock and Rear Differential Lock partnered with the Terrain Management System and Trail Control will give some customers off-road capability that they never dreamed of in a vehicle of this class. For accessories, we’d pick the Cargo Mats and the Cargo Management System, but buyers will have to think long and hard as to whether an additional $2595 for the Badlands Package is worth it for a heated steering wheel, wireless charging pad, moon roof, and the B&O sound system. First Edition buyers have most of these options included though they will still have to buy the Cargo Mats and Cargo Management System. Both options are the only with all Seven G.O.A.T. Modes
