Homestay Live like a local Homestay gives you the opportunity to experience the unique culture and family life in your country of study. Some will discover friendships that last a lifetime. ILSC’s accommodations staff carefully select families who provide a friendly, supportive and welcoming home environment for students. Most homestay families live about 45 minutes from ILSC by public transit. Families will provide you with a furnished private bedroom, a shared bathroom and meals. ILSC’s multilingual Student Accommodations staff are always available to help you if any problem or issue happens to arise.
You’ll be surprised how quickly your speaking improves when you’re immersed in English or French from breakfast until bedtime. *In Montréal, French, English or bilingual homestay is available. In New Delhi, English or Hindi homestay is available.

After-class activities provide an opportunity to discover the local culture and explore all that your study destination has to offer. Depending on the location and the season, there are a variety of outdoor activities to try like biking, kayaking, rollerblading, tobogganing and more. Each city also has its own unique character to discover through activities like shopping, city walking tours, and visits to amusement parks, museums and iconic sights.
Weekends at ILSC are a chance to get away from the city for a two or four day adventure. Explore other nearby cities, amazing historical sites and iconic natural landscapes. Weekend adventures offer something for every taste!

Counselor In Training (CIT) Program ILSC's Counselor in Training Program is a leadership development program for youth aged 18–21. Program participants will help lead activities under the mentorship of current Junior Language Adventure Program staff. The 6-week program covers first aid training, counseling skills, activity skills, and leadership training. CITs will receive ongoing evaluations and guidance throughout the program. Job Placement Guarantee Service
The Ranchstay program combines English language studies with a stay on a working ranch. The program offers horse-loving students an opportunity to work with horses and improve their English. Immerse yourself in the everyday life of a ranch. Spend time with horses, learn to rope, herd cattle on horseback, and take care of the animals. This unique program is a perfect English learning program for nature and animal lovers.
The Job Placement Guarantee Program connects students with guaranteed work in rural settings. You will receive an orientation with ILSC’s Internship coordinators who will assess your experience and skills. Depending on your interests and available positions, you may be guided to take specific classes at the school to prepare you for success in your placement. ILSC visits all workplaces prior to placing students, and, if required, is available to offer support once you are on placement, even if you have graduated.

Specialized Language Training ILSC offers a number of specialized language programs and courses designed to build vocabulary and skills for use in the fields of business, medicine and teaching. ILSC can also develop customized group programs to meet a wide range of needs and interests.
TESL for Young Learners The TESL–YL elective focuses primarily on teaching techniques and practical classroom methods. It is designed to provide initial training in teaching English to young learners in the age range of 2–16 years old. It is intended for students with little or no previous experience of teaching English who wish to learn the skills and techniques necessary for teaching young learners. Medical English Diploma or Certificates Designed for medical professionals, this program provides students with the medical English terminology, listening and speaking skills required to communicate effectively with patients and other medical professionals.
