Safe Travel! Travelers, especially foreigners, are more often the victims of pretty economic crime, such as theft. High-risk areas in Mainland of China are train and bus stations, city and long-distance bus, especially sleeper buses.! ! Take a money belt for your cash, passports and credit cards! ! Loss Resorts! If something of yours is stolen,report it immediately to the nearest Foreign Affairs Branch of t he Public Security Bureau (PSB; 公安局; Gōng’ānjú). Staff will ask you to fill in a loss report before investigating the case.! A loss report is crucial so you can claim compensation if you have t ravel insurance. Be prepared t o spend many hours, perhaps even several days, organizing it . Make a copy of your passport in case of loss or theft.! !
Scams! Here are some frequently happened scams:! Case1：People asking you to take his car instead of taxi (or he simply said he is a taxi driver). In this case they will usually charge you a higher price or even a different price he promises before getting your destination.! Solution: Always take a regular or official registered taxi and always ask the driver to take the meter.! !
Case2：People hawk some unpriced goods on the street or black market! Solution: Just avoid this kind of bargain. You need to seriously check the goods and keep in mind that you can seldom buy a real one if they insist their goods are real.! !
Case3：Strangers genuinely invite you to go to the bar or cafe. In this case you will be asked to pay a high price for the drinks you order.! Solution: Usually if you meet strangers suddenly inviting you to do somethings, just reject them.! !

GLS 2014 4 years ago, AIESECers just like us came together to dream Big and create an AIESEC capable of truly changing the world. They looked at the best parts of AIESEC and imagined what AIESEC could become if we massively increased our scale of delivering the best of us. Maybe you were there in person, maybe your ideas were taken there by your LCP, maybe you were online participating in the virtual discussions, or maybe you joined after this date. But irrelevant of when you joined the 2015 movement, you are an AIESECer, and you are part of 66 years of culture, belief and ambition which has brought us to this point: GLS 2014 in Mainland of China, where the leaders of the world’s youth leadership provider will build the pathway for AIESEC to be the biggest and best version it has ever been.! ! Welcome to GLS 2014!! ! This GLS we will continue to movement towards 2015 the same way we started it in 2010 – as one network, collaborating together. This will be a space to connect and create, where we will both challenge and trust, where we will learn and teach and where you all have an incredibly important role to play. Like the ancient concept of Yinyang, we rely upon a balance of current and elect to build generation 2015 together.! !
