Beirut. Known for

I am writing this to express my interest in the position of architect in your company.. I have worked in my field for 9 months in Lebanon and in Ivory Coast in professional architecture firms.. My experience in Abidjan “ Lines and Visions” firm in 2017 included design A to Z to commercial, residential and retail projects, interior design project to an office and meeting room space for the french bank in Ivory Coast BICICI, and finalizing a luxurious residential compound for an Italian customer where there was one to one customer- architect interaction, where I gained presentation and architectural marketing skills. I also gained experience writing tender documents, understanding the terms and conditions of the company and the required information to include in such documents (timing- cost- policies- information about the two parties and thier role in the project- concequences of delay- etc.). As for my experience in Lebanon with “ Spectrum Engineering Consultants” firm in 2015 included taking part in designing the elevations and detail drawings of the ministry of tourism in Irbeel. I also took part in detail drawings and bills of quantities for a mall in Bellarussia. My experience included building permits as well. I also did some freelance work, the one project that left a mark was taking part in the design of an orphanage. It is always great to invest one’s skills in helping the less fortunate. I graduated from Beirut Arab University in 2017 with a BArch degree- RIBA part 1, earning a B (85%) in my graduation project. Graduating from this university was a tough journey full of sleepless nights, which made me familiar to working under pressure and long working hours in my professional experience. I feel I am suitable for the position of designer architect, since I have experience in various domains, yet I’m young, efficient, creative and energetic. It is important to me to keep the company’s good image. Should you require any additional information, don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you, Yours sincerely,

2011-2017

Opera House of Beirut

The Opera House of Beirut is a monumental project, it’s aim is to be an iconic landmark of the city. I also wanted to create a clear interaction between the project and the public, through transparency, landscape, and smooth design.

Context

An opera house with capacity of 1,200 visitors, is most appropriatly located in the center. Hence, it was decided to be put in the Capital Beirut.

The level of accessability for such buildings, is very important to be high. So it is a major aspect to consider the reachability to the site without going through major obsticles..

The land area should allow the availability of a public space or spaces, an approach, and spaces according to program to be as required.

The context surrounding the opera house should consider the quality of people coming to this building and the luxury of this type of art.

In this Opera House design, I focused on using both modern and sophisticated material in the interior. It was important to me to create public spaces, where the opera viewers had a grand entrance, which translates the grandness of the opera itself. The viewers were offered balconies, and lounges as seen in the adjacent pictures. These lounges are refreshment areas, where bars, drinks, snacks and restrooms are placed, on every floor. The design of the lounges, was done in a way that they are changeable on every floor, and so is the void in each floor. This enables a game of light, where when the sun hits the side curtain walls, the reflection of light will vary on each floor, adding a smooth movement of light in different times of the day. The grand entrance’s floor material is fine marble, with high reflective properties. as for the lounges and balconnies’ floor material is beautiful dark oak parquet with high end glass as handrails and chrome frames, and accessories. Elegant, shinny chrome columns act as structural and aesthetic elements throughout the project. LOUNGES AND REFRESHMENT AREAS

Waterfront Office Building

The waterfront office building is designed to offer the employees a healthy work environment, through natural sunlight, open spaces and gardens on every floor. This strategy radiates positivity in the working enviroment and increases productivity.

Interior Shots from the office area outdoors

The material used in this project is basically glass with high reflective properties, wooden louvers for shadding, black concrete frames to seal every component making it more obvious and bold. Green terraces within the floors, integrated with the design on the outside, and two atriums were introduced to the higher floors to enable more natural light into the building. These atriums also serve as interior gardens. The geometry of this building makes it interesting, and gives a new combination of greenary and space on each floor. Employees can enjoy the seaview in the saifi area, be productive and feel like they are connected to the outdoors with the gardens. All this is to serve one purpose, “an improved work environment, removing the sense of being trapped in a building, removing the sense of enclosed spaces, corridors and artificial lighting. And making a smoother design for those who spend long hours at work, without being disturbed by t he space they work in.
