Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Celebrate the holiday at Irish-themed bars and parties

How to does Las Vegas honor the foremost patron saint of Ireland? Well, on St. Patrick’s Day we honor him with good cheer, good beer and good times. Come March 17, everyone shows Irish pride and gets in on the festivities happening all over the Strip.

For one of the biggest celebrations, head to New York-New York’s Brooklyn Bridge for its Celtic Feis, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The price to get into the Stripside party starts at just $10 per person and includes highlights like parades, live entertainment, stilt walkers, leprechauns and traditional Irish fare from the property’s Nine Fine Irishmen restaurant and bar, which offers indoor and outdoor seating right on the Brooklyn Bridge. Irish bands including Sin E Ri Ra and Celtic Chaos begin jamming around 8 p.m., and the music goes past midnight.

For more street festivities, hop over to The Linq Promenade, where guests can party along the outdoor entertainment district, stopping into bars and restaurants for St. Patrick’s Day specials. At AmeriCAN Beer & Cocktails, enjoy $5 grab-and-go beers and $5 Jameson shots. Off the Strip offers $15 Irish car bombs, $10 green beer and Guinness and $12 shots of Jameson and Proper Twelve. Tilted Kilt hosts an Irishthemed party with live DJs and drink specials. And Flour & Barley offers a pepperoni slice and 16-ounce green Guinness for just $17. Along the Promenade, beer carts offer green beer, bagpipers roam the area and ice sculptors from nearby Icebar perform live themed ice carving. Don’t forget to stop into the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day party spot at the Promenade, O’Sheas, which offers beer pong, three bars and table games.

Rí Rá Irish Pub at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place kicks off its party at 8 a.m. on St. Paddy’s Day and goes late (late!) into the evening. Enjoy live Irish bands, drink specials, bagpipers, dancers and food specials. Take pics with the 500-pound statue of St. Patrick displayed at Rí Rá’s Victorian Bar. The Shop Bar and The Whiskey Bar transport you directly to the Emerald Isle through the authentic Irish pub materials and furnishings that were salvaged straight from Ireland and used to re-create bars you’d find in popular cities like Dublin. –Kiko Miyasato
