Get Your Rhum On
Longtime favorite Mirage lounge is back
We might be in the middle of a desert, but you’ll feel beach-side vibes and island revelry when you visit the newly reopened Rhumbar.
Once again, guests can tuck in for an afternoon or evening and enjoy specialty cocktails, a favorite cigar and light bites at the upgraded and beautiful tropical ultra lounge. The design is reminiscent of art deco Miami with a mix of luxe, ’70s-inspired design. The palette of pink, yellow, teal and white serves as the perfect backdrop to gold and white accents. Guests can take a seat at the indoor bar or choose to lounge around on the spacious patio with comfy sofas, huge umbrellas and lush greenery.
Light up a stogie with selections from Arturo Fuente, Ashton, Cohiba, Macanudo, Padrón, Romeo Y Julieta and more. Nosh on cheesy monkey bread, chili lime fries, chicken wings, croissant dogs and shrimp cocktail.
At Rhumbar, it’s really about the delicious cocktails, all handcrafted and visually delightful. Champagnes, bottle service, wines, seltzers and craft beers are also available. But let’s talk cocktails. As the lounge’s moniker would suggest, the menu highlights boozy rum cocktails like the 100 Foot Wave with Coruba dark Jamaican rum, Ron Del Barrilito 3 Star rum, El Dorado 12-Year rum, tangerine, lemon and passion fruit.
Not a huge rum drinker? Like to share? Then check out the Colossal Cocktails section of the menu. The huge, shareable sips include favorites like Kiwi… Do You Love Me? mixed with Pueblo Viejo tequila, kiwi, pineapple and Liquid Alchemist orgeat. And get your camera ready for the Violet Revolver, a darling and fun cocktail with Botanist gin, Liquid Alchemist orgeat, velvet falernum and passion fruit—rubber duckie and bathtub included.
Party it up with a Take Flight Shot Board—you pick any four shots on the menu with recipes like Lemon Drop, Buttery Nipple, Pineapple Upside Down Cake and Kamikaze. And if all this alcohol hasn’t been enough, on your way out stop by Rhumbar’s frozen bar (there’s Dole Whip!), where you can order drinks to go in 12-ounce cups, all the way up to those crazy yardlong souvenir vessels that hold 46 ounces. –Kiko Miyasato
