Add to Your Love Story

Our world is in a constant state of change, politically, technologically and environmentally. But there’s one thing that hasn’t changed: The feeling of romance that Valentine’s Day evokes. Florists sell record numbers of flowers, while candy companies’ sales soar (especially the chocolatiers). And Las Vegas sees a significant bump in the number of weddings it hosts. It’s a reassuring reminder that, no matter how crazy our world is getting, there’s still a place for love.

If you’re here to celebrate a wedding, an anniversary or, heck, even if you just met your special someone on the plane ride into Harry Reid International Airport, you’re going to fi nd plenty of romantic options this week. Associate editor Kiko Miyasato has collected some of the more noteworthy ones in this week’s Cheers section (“Here’s to Love,” p. 24), and has also spotlighted one of the city’s most popular date destinations: The Ei el Tower Viewing Deck at Paris (“The Ride to Romance,” p. 17 ).

How about a nice meal together? We’ve collected some of the best restaurants in town in this week’s issue, from The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio, where you get not only dinner but a great show (“Dazzling Dining,” p. 13), Kassi Beach House at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas (“Patio Perfect,” p. 28), and Giada De Laurentiis’ eponymous Italian restaurant at The Cromwell (“California Dreaming,” p. 18).

Don’t forget to take your special someone to a show while you’re here. This week sees the return of Katy Perry to Resorts World (“Stardust Memories,” p. 34) and Jonas Brothers to Dolby Live at Park MGM (“That Sibling Sound,” p. 38), while Bill Maher returns to Vegas with shows at MGM Grand (“Unafraid and Uncensored,” p. 20).

Love is in the air. And in Vegas. Thanks to you.

Dazzling Dining

An American classic gets a serious upgrade at Bellagio

First established in the 1930s, supper clubs rose to popularity offering a hybrid experience between a traditional restaurant and a social club. Mostly popular in the Midwestern United States, many of these establishments gained notoriety as roadhouses and found post-Prohibition success by offering fine food, live entertainment and engaging social setting.

Taking that experience to a new level, The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio pairs extremely talented entertainers with decadent dishes to create an exceptional evening out. Not to mention the ornate dining room, drenched in plush pinks and tantalizing turquoise, overlooks the beautiful Bellagio fountains, offering exceptional ambience.

With the main stage centered in the dining room, a bad seat here simply does not exist. Throughout the evening, you can expect impressive vocals from the personas of Mae Montgomery and her opposite, Fred Lowell. Joined by energetic dancers and talented instrumentalists, the pair delight with jazzy versions of favorite tunes.

The lively entertainment and well-adorned walls create an elegant setting for a seriously sensational selection to savor. Seafood, a staple offering at most supper clubs, abounds here. Chilled shellfish classics like oysters and shrimp cocktail complement sushi offerings like the hamachi crudo, topped with calamansi, olive oil and chili.

Classics like lobster thermidor and a 36-ounce dry-aged prime tomahawk accompanied by Mayfair steak sauce both stun, while dishes like cauliflower with pistachio vinaigrette and crispy shallots and Ora King salmon with romanesco offer lighter fare.

Skipping sides would be a serious misstep here. Earthy forest mushrooms, truffle pasta and decadent potato purée provide hearty accompaniments, while rich creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts and bacon contribute flavorful greenery.

The Mayfair Supper Club offers multiple over-the-top desserts, but the cherries jubilee brings extra entertainment. With a flaming tableside presentation and served over cold vanilla ice cream, this classic sweet is an absolute treat. –Em Jurbala

Rock Your World

Cirque du Soleil spectacular celebrates an iconic entertainer

There’s a genuinely special moment in Michael Jackson ONE that revolves around the use of a hologram. It comes toward the end of the Cirque du Soleil production (we won’t spoil it by telling you which song it occurs in), but the effect is palpable. No matter what your opinions of the King of Pop might be, you’re sure to get lost in this moment. You really, if only for a single, solitary moment, think Jackson is actually, physically, onstage. It’s a brilliant capper to what’s already an incredible show.

But I’m getting way ahead of myself. (Sorry, it’s just the way that sequence makes me feel. My bad.)

This production is part tribute show, part spectacle that Cirque is well-known for, and part emotional journey. It tells the story of a group of “Misfits,” each representing an aspect of Jackson’s essence, who are pursued by bad guys throughout the show, in the process embarking on journeys of self-discovery. Not coincidentally, there are four iconic elements of Jackson’s image—a hat, sunglasses, pair of shoes and a spangled glove—that come into play during the course of the show.

All of Jackson’s immortal songs are played during ONE and, for each one, characters from the songs—or ones inspired by them—come to life. You’ll see trampoline artists, synchronized dance routines, performers descending from the ceiling, comedic interludes and, yes, the undead walking during “Thriller.” There’s also a segment that pays tribute to Jackson’s younger days as a member of the Jackson 5. Don’t be surprised to find yourself getting emotional as “I’ll Be There” plays, accompanied by some of the profound words he had for the world are displayed.

Few entertainers throughout history are as polarizing as Jackson. And that’s understandable. But, as this show clearly demonstrates, as long as his music remains available for us to listen to, it’s hard not to listen. –Ken Miller

The Ride to Romance

Paris attraction continues to wow guests with amazing sights

Be romantic and take your sweetie to a new high—46 stories high—at the longtime favorite Las Vegas attraction the Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck

Although this version of the real deal in France is only a half-scale replica, it is full-sized fun.

You’re whisked up an elevator with glass panels so you can see your ascent to more than 500 feet. Once at the top, get ready for some open-air amazement. Spend time walking around the

top of the Eiffel Tower to get beautiful views of the Strip below and snap some pictures together with backdrops like the Bellagio fountains or the sprawling mountains beyond. Make it extra special by booking your tickets for a sunset or night trip.

Once back down on the ground, take a stroll outside of Paris to the Strip and check out the Eiffel Tower’s nightly light show inspired by the Paris original. The five-minute show occurs every 30

minutes from sunset to midnight. The tower is lit in red, white and blue by hundreds of colored lights that cascade up and down the tower while hundreds of strobe lights flash on and off.

So, although you’re in Las Vegas, take a detour to Paris and find a little slice of romance, especially come Tuesday … remember, it’s Valentine’s Day! –Kiko Miyasato

California Dreaming

Indulge in Italian cuisine with a West Coast vibe

One of the most chill places to hang on a weekend morning is Giada , the namesake restaurant of Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis. The dining room overlooks Las Vegas Boulevard, and morning light creates a relaxed mood. The restaurant offers a variety of breakfast items with a decidedly Italian twist. Steak and eggs features a flat iron steak, toast, lemon-smashed potatoes and salmoriglio, a condiment with lemon juice, olive oil and garlic, while the sunrise polenta waffle is served with pancetta, béchamel sauce and two sunny-side up eggs. Salads, pastas and paninis are also available. And whatever your entrée might be, do order the pastry basket. The rosemaryParmesan scone is practically perfect.

Dinner entrées start with seafood, a California staple, which is where Di Laurentiis grew up (and the dining room is accented by framed posters from her famous director grandfather’s movies). The seafood tower delivers oysters, crab lobster and shrimp in two sizes. Antipasti has a range of items, from flatbread to bacon-wrapped dates. Salmon, branzino and chicken piccata stand alongside robust offerings like the 28-ounce bone-in Tuscan ribeye, served with a sunny-side-up egg. The handmade pastas include classics like cacio e pepe bucatini, pictured, and rigatoni with a pork ragout. Giada’s signature lemon spaghetti tops the dish with shrimp. And with the extensive wine collection, you’ll find a dizzying array for every flavor of your meal. –Nina

Unafraid and Uncensored

In the span of less than an hour on a recent episode of his HBO series Real Time, Bill Maher tore into college (“it’s a scam”), doctors refusing to admit that diet and exercise can play a big role in weight loss (“We’re being gaslighted”), and children (“Has anyone read Lord of the Flies? They’re feral”). Just in case you needed a reminder, Maher is full of opinions, and he’s not shy about sharing them with the world. You may not agree with him; in fact, you may be furious with him. But you can’t deny that he’s never boring.

That take-no-prisoners attitude applies to his stand-up performances in Las Vegas as well. Even if you’ve seen Maher’s shows here before, there’s always a reason to come back—his material is always evolving to a new level of outrage.

In addition, Maher is now enjoying new digs on the Strip. He previously performed in the Shin Lim Theater at The Mirage as part of the Aces of Comedy series, but now you can find him playing the David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand. It’s a more intimate

space in which his controversial material resonates even more than it did in the previous venue.

A lot of Maher’s fans want to refer to him as a liberal, but as Maher makes very plain on Real Time (and in his stand-up shows), he’s not afraid to take Democrats to task. This is one show that’s likely to offend both sides. But man, will you laugh. –

Heady Expansions

Entertainment complex plans thrilling events and new venues

Popular entertainment venue AREA15 showcases attractions like the huge, surreal supermarket Omega Mart; immersive galleries and experiences like Wink World: Portals Into the Infinite and Museum Fiasco; restaurants like The Beast by Todd English; and hybrids of it all like Liftoff, an open-air balloon ride with a cocktail lounge below. DJs and special events like yoga and dance spice things up weekly.

But there’s even more coming up in the next few months, including the arrival of AREA15’s massives, multivenue parties that channel the spirit of a rave, with a lot of extra events thrown in. AREA15 head of entertainment Noah Kessler said in a release, “Massives encourage visitors to show up as their most authentic selves, embrace the future and become part of the experience.”

The first of these superparties, on March 25, We’re All Mad Here, brings Alice in Wonderland to life in an unexpected way, with a Mad Hatter’s Tea, festival-style vendors, craft sellers and art installations. LSDream, Eazybaked, Tahùm and DJ Manifesto are among the DJs scheduled to appear. Doors open at 9 p.m. (Must be 18 or older to attend.) Themed costumes are encouraged. Other scheduled events are themed to Secret Garden, Neon Dream, Happy Camper and others.

And coming up in later months for the complex is a 20-acre expansion that will drastically increase the number of experiences available, including Universal Parks & Resorts, which will anchor the new area with a year-round experience inspired by its popular Halloween Horror Nights. –Nina King

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with romantic spots, parties and cocktails

This week is all about love, especially come Feb. 14. If you’re in town to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’re here to hook you up with some ways to get in a loving mood.

Go big or go home with Maverick Helicopters packages. Take a flight over the Strip at night or book the majestic Red Rock Canyon tour that includes a 30-minute landing at a private vista and champagne toast. Find another romantic ride at The Venetian with the property’s gondola rides. You and your sweetie can choose either indoor or outdoor, and coast past shops and under bridges where you can share a kiss, as per Italian tradition. (A gondola ride is the perfect spot for marriage proposals and weddings; ask the property concierge to help you arrange it!)

If Valentine’s Day means getting a little tipsy together, you’re in luck! Spots all around town recently introduced holiday-themed cocktails. At Salt Bae’s restaurant, Nusr-Et Steakhouse at The Park, order up the Chocolatini, a velvety chocolate martini complemented with fresh strawberries. Vanderpump à Paris at Paris is one of the most romantic spots on the Strip, and here you can enjoy the LoveLocked cocktail for two. It’s made with gin, Velvet Falernum, raspberry, lemon, hibiscus,

pomegranate and aquafaba. One glass has a padlock and one glass has a key, and when you’re done with the cocktail you each can write your initials on the back of the padlock and lock it on a wall in the restaurant, leaving your loving moment in Vegas forever.

If you visit The Mirage you can go on a cocktail tour, as the property’s different venues are offering a slew of themed drinks. Stop into Costa , Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak , The Pantry, Stack and the casino lounges. Imbibe everything from a chocolate Old-Fashioned and

Comedy is a calling for this club manager

With vision boards being all the rage lately, one must wonder if they really work. Well, Davey Galvan, assistant general manager and head of food and beverage for Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club at The Linq Promenade, is proof they do.

“During COVID, my wife was telling me about vision boards, so I did one and I put on mine, ‘I want to work and retire in a comedy club’ and it just so happened a few months later this job became available.” Galvan is now living his vision and dream at JKCC; he joined

the comedy club last fall. Galvan grew up loving stand-up comedy, thanks to his dad, who let him listen to George Carlin. Since then, he’s added to his list of top comedians, including Chris Rock, Mitch Hedberg and Ralphie May.

It was thanks to Galvan’s career background that he landed his current job. The California native has more than two decades worth of experience in food and beverage in Las Vegas, working behind bars and helping run venues across the valley and at MGM Grand, where he even helped launch the city’s

Jimmy Kimmel himself helped create the cocktails on the menu, and the Jimlet is his favorite— it’s mixed with Grey Goose vodka, Chambord, raspberry simple syrup and lime juice. longest-running dayclub, Wet Republic. But it’s at Kimmel’s comedy outpost that Galvan has found home.

He helps oversee the food and beverage offerings at the club, noting that the offerings are not what one would expect. The food is all fresh and madeto-order (and absolutely delicious, he says), and the spirits are all top-shelf selections. It’s also Galvan’s duty to interact with all the guests that come through the door. “I love it; every day I meet new people that love comedy, just like me,” he says. –Kiko

a city that sees sunshine the majority of the year, winter can get a little tiresome. But at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, you can capture that outdoor vibe even on a cloudy day at Kassi Beach House. That Mediterranean seaside feel pervades this restaurant, conceptualized and brought to life by Nick Mathers, an L.A.-based restaurateur who has opened a number of SoCal hot spots.

With Kassi, you’ll enter through an archway that leads past large vases and through an intimate bar with booths and seating on one side and a bar top on the other. As you exit the bar, it’s as if you’ve entered the patio

area of a large home. During brunch and lunch, the main dining room of Kassi Beach House is a sun-washed paradise, with several “rooms” and different types of seating throughout. Some rooms seem to be in the shade, while others look out at floor-to-ceiling windows and the pool complex beyond. A small area for DJs faces the windows, too. There are several long wooden tables, while an abundance of seating puts you in comfy seats and couches throughout. During dinner, subdued lighting helps extend that beachy scene.

On the opposite wall from the windows is a huge oven, from which the fragrance of freshly baked bread and pizzas wafts through the dining room, and a pass-through that yields peeks of the busy staff. Tucked in the center of the room opposite the kitchen is an additional bar, perfect for sitting

for a drink or two before your meal. Once you’re seated, order a cocktail or three, like the new Free Bird with tequila, lime, watermelon and mint, or a margarita (Kassi features five versions), or a nice glass of prosecco. During brunch, you can also indulge in bottomless rose for $45 a person. Bargain! And if you don’t want the alcohol, you’ll find several versions, from the iced matcha latte to the spritzes, which combine flavors like ginger and lemon, pineapple and lime and watermelon and mint. They’re all incredibly refreshing.

For brunch, there are plenty of delicious breakfast items like avocado toast, smoked salmon and ricotta pancakes, but you’ll want to start with the mezze platter, a shareable appetizer for the whole table, with whipped eggplant, whipped ricotta and white bean dip—all served with oven-roasted puccia bread, which comes out puffy and tender. You might also want to indulge in the grilled octopus, served with hearts of palm and red onion.

For dinner, a charcuterie platter presents a range of meat and cheese

as well as cornichons, marinated artichokes and grilled bread.

That delicious puccia bread is also used for the crusts of the pizzas, available for brunch and dinner. For brunch, check out the breakfast pizza, with three cheeses, scrambled egg, guanciale and green onions—you can even get it with sausage and hash browns! You can get several different pizzas on both menus, and two of the newest are the Bianca, with prosciutto di Parma, lemon, EVOO and balsamic vinegar; and the pear and formaggio, which layers on three

cheeses, honey and chives plus Bosc pears. Delightful!

At dinner, entrées are substantial, with offerings such as rotisserie chicken diavolo, eye-opening with its chili and garlic; filet mignon (add on lobster for decadence); and a 32-ounce tomahawk. The Italian-style family meal is three courses of chef-selected goodies—prepare to be wowed. (A quick note: there is a four-person minimum to order the family-style menu.)

Pasta lovers will find items like cacio e pepe, squid ink gemelli with crab, lobster tagliatelle and a newer addition to Kassi, mushroom carbonara, with campanelle pasta and royal trumpet mushrooms, served with a 62-degree egg and Parmesan cream, and the egg adds such richness to the sauce.

For dessert, indulge in the housemade ice cream sandwich while you can—it won’t be around forever. With pistachio gelato, marshmallow and chocolate, it’s an impressive sight that is worthy of a post or two.

From Feb. 10-14, you can order from the special Valentine’s Day menu—start with arancini with

caciocavello and artisanal caviar and cheekily named cocktails like The Honeymoon, with Haku vodka, white chocolate, raspberry and alcohol-infused whipped cream—heady stuff!

Pan-seared scallops with cauliflower purée and braised short rib with polenta and truffle butter are your entrée choices, while chocolate pot de crème comes with brandied cherries.

Katy Perry conjures the classic Vegas spirit in her successful residency Play

For Katy Perry, pop music’s reigning Queen of Camp, “Waking Up in Vegas” has become much more than a hit song and set list staple. Perry is and will always be a California gurl, but her Las Vegas residency places her on a stage that’s likely not far from where her aunt once kicked up her heels as a showgirl at the Stardust Resort and Casino. That property was imploded in 2007, making way for new beginnings and

the explosive success of Perry’s residency, Play

By the end of its inaugural run that launched Dec. 29, 2021, Play grossed nearly $7 million with at least 32,000 Perry fans making the pilgrimage to her royal court. Inspired by childhood memories of television and film comedies such as Pee-wee’s Playhouse and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Perry and her production team let their imagina-

tions run wild. They were so flushed with excitement that they even created an oversized commode with a talking inhabitant.

Perry balances the fun onstage with the seriousness of being in top condition physically and mentally to make Play look as e ortlessly fun to present as it is demanding to perform. Perry became a mom during the pandemic, making her well-being a priority to balance work and family life. She even launched a nonalcoholic drink, De Soi, with a friend who also experienced a recent pregnancy and is making it available at Play for the sober-curious.

Her performance is intoxicating all on its own. Fans who attended Play last year witnessed Perry descend from the ceiling and placed in a bed by a giant hand to sing “E.T.” Styling by RuPaul collaborator Zaldy included colorfully gaudy ’60s-inspired outfits, a crystal dress embellished by strategically placed beer cans, a mushroom cap and a baby doll dress.

gown accessorized with gloves and a feather boa.

The latter was worn during “Dark Horse” as Perry sat astride a wooden steed. She went full-on showgirl for “Teenage Dream” with the aid of designer Johnny Wujek and crystal studder Disco Daddy, who helped her bedazzle and beguile audiences with a form-fitting yellow-gold-and-silver

While costume changes were frequent, the arrangement of “Waking Up in Vegas” received a makeover as well. The song is jazzed up as if it were played by lounge musicians in the golden age of the Strip. The feel is as real as the live band that includes bassist Kyle Whalum. His father is GRAMMY-winning saxophonist Kirk Whalum, most familiar to pop music audiences for his solo on Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”

Houston was paid tribute to during many of the show’s encores throughout last year with a rendition of “The Greatest Love of All.” The

career-spanning sets included “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Roar” and “Firework,” all realized live in a way only an entertainer with showgirl roots, dedication and discipline, and a neo-kitschy personal style can.

What changes are in store for this year’s shows will be revealed when Perry returns to the stage the evening after Valentine’s Day, but superfan KatyCats can count on making unforgettable memories during a new Vegas golden age.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens presents an enlightening Lunar New Year display

Among the first guests to arrive at a banquet hosted by the Jade Emperor that, according to Lunar New Year lore, would determine the order of the 12 astrological animals was the rabbit. Some legends say the rabbit arrived first and slipped while crossing a river

to the banquet, while others say it took a nap as the rat, ox and tiger arrived, making the fourth phase in the astrological cycle The Year of the Rabbit.

It’s a period of peace, tranquility, good fortune and prosperity reflected in the current display at Bellagio

Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. The goal for designer Ed Libby and Bellagio’s horticulture team was to honor Asian culture and tradition through an installation inspired by enlightenment and imagination.

“This is one of the most beautiful garden settings I think we’ve ever

done at Bellagio,” says Libby. “The meaning is coming through in every bed, and the guests are very interested in what they’re seeing.”

In addition to increased signage identifying botanical species and providing facts about the display, QR codes give deeper dives into the meaning of the astrological cycle and Lunar New Year. Red, pink, purple and blue suggest the season, with bromeliads and succulents blooming in vibrant colors of white, hot pink and ruby red.

“Ed sets the tone and builds the story,” says Conservatory manager Lea Jonic. “He’s really thoughtful about everything he does. You take a look at it, you look at the renderings, and we find the right flowers and

plant material and give the serene, peaceful, very gentle vibe to the room that fits his design.”

With the corresponding element of 2023 being water, the koi pond in the north bed takes on particularly special relevance. Topiary children constructed from an estimated 45,600 flowers frolic and fish around The Temple of Six Banyan Trees, which rises eight levels in front of a high-definition LED screen displaying scenes of fireworks and falling gold coins as live inhabitants swim through the water and effortlessly capture the attention of guests passing by.

Live zebra finches flit around inside a tall cage in the south bed, where pink lunar moths float above long-legged, intricately feathered cranes that preen for guests with reservations for The Garden Table. An unprecedented innovation that symbolizes the Jade Emperor’s banquet, guests can dine immersed in the Conservatory’s bucolic surroundings with prix-fixe menus for lunch and dinner prepared by Bellagio’s Pan-Asian restaurant Noodles. Reservations times are 1, 3, 6 and 8 p.m.

The meal comes with an incomparable view of the 32-foot-tall Year of the Water Rabbit sculpted medallion in the West Bed (the hero piece of the display sentried by twin bonsai trees) that reflects the rippling waters beneath it at night. Intricately crafted cloisonné cherry blossoms hang above fu dogs that watch over the surroundings. A 17-foottall statue of Chinese god of wealth Caishen in the east bed gazes in the direction of Bellagio’s entrance, while a nearby family of golden rabbits gather on a wooden bridge. Family, food, fun … what Lunar New Year is all about.

Jonas Brothers return to Las Vegas

AS A KID, I had relatively normal priorities. Go to school, do chores and, of course, collect every last CD Jonas Brothers released. Not just one copy, though. I needed two. One disc to use for its intended purpose and the other to cherish in its original cellophane wrapping, displayed on my bookcase.

After all, maybe one day I’d be face-to-face with Kevin, Joe and Nick and I’d need something they could autograph. Or maybe they’d be valuable relics when my favorite trio became legendary artists. (Cementing that legendary status, the boys were immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Jan. 30.) Or maybe I would grow to become an adult who owns not a single one of those CDs, nor a CD player.

Either way, it’s safe to say, all these years later, I’m stoked that the Jo Bros have made a habit of dropping into Vegas. And whether they were your childhood crushes or are your latest musical obsession, their shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM should excite you, too.

The artists who brought you “Sucker” and “Only Human” are known to play songs from their entire discography, including bangers from solo projects like Nick’s “Jealous” and Joe’s band DNCE’s “Cake by the Ocean.” And for longtime fans, the brothers conjure nostalgia with songs like “S.O.S.,” “Lovebug” and “Year 3000” (a personal favorite for this fan.)

With a highly anticipated album set to be released May 5, who knows what melodious magic they’ll be treating audiences to?

If you can’t quite make these shows, worry not; the trio stays busy. They’re known to drop into parents’ restaurant, Nellie’s Southern Kitchen, at MGM Grand, to give impromptu performances when they’re in town.

You can also catch Joe playing real-life naval officer Marty Goode in Devotion, a biographical war film released in November. With some screen time of his own, Kevin hosts ABC’s competition show Claim To Fame with brother Frankie; it was recently renewed following a successful first season. Lastly, Nick recently announced he is to be a featured speaker at next month’s South by Southwest festival.

Oh, That View!

Ascaya’s Horizon rises more than 2,000 feet above the Las Vegas Valley

When it comes to Las Vegas real estate, there are breathtaking views, and then there’s … Horizon, a home in the guard-gated, exclusive community of Ascaya in the McCullough Mountain Range. This home, which just became available on the market, is so named because it rises more than 1,000 feet above the city, over-

looking the Las Vegas Valley, Strip and other mountain ranges. But, as you’re about to discover, that’s just the beginning.

This 6,100-square-foot, single-story home, listed by Darin Marques of the Darin Marques Group at Huntington & Ellis, contains plenty of space for families

of any size—five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a 1,000-square-foot, four-car garage. The entire home has a California flavor, thanks to a collaboration between California-based Brandon Architects and Morrison Interiors. From the soaring wood plank ceilings and expansive glass walls to the sim-

plistic clean lines, you’ll truly get an Orange County feel here.

You’ll feel the good vibes from the moment you step out of your car. Floating metal steps lead to a custom metal gate and outdoor atrium, and two floor-to-ceiling glass doors offer access to each side of the home and backyard. It’s an entrance designed to seriously impress.

There are so many focal points in this home that it’s almost overwhelming. The dining area, great room and kitchen overlook the backyard and the Strip through a

retaining glass wall, while the gourmet chef’s kitchen and hidden prep area pop with a marble waterfall island, built-in wine refrigerator and ceiling-high wood cabinetry.

The ensuite bedrooms all feature hardwood flooring, custom bathroom treatments, walk-in showers, private access to the backyard and ample closet space. The primary suite has a spalike bathroom that includes dual sinks joined by a vanity space, a standalone tub, expansive shower with three water features, dual water closets and a walk-in

closet with an island and glass casings. Elsewhere in this room you’ll find dual built-in bookcases, a lounge area with a fireplace, and a glass retaining wall with backyard access.

The backyard itself is a private oasis, accessed by two oversized glass doors and featuring three outdoor entertainment areas, pool and spa and outdoor kitchen. –Ken Miller
