Now That’s Funny!

Full disclosure time: Of all the Netfl ix shows available for streaming, the one I fi nd myself returning to most often is Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Co ee, the hit web series that Netfl ix picked up in 2018. For those unfamiliar with the concept, Seinfeld cherry-picks his favorite people—the vast majority of them stand-up comedians—and takes them out for a spin in a car of his choosing on the way to the nearest co ee spot for conversation, jokes and lots of laughs.

There are so many things to enjoy about this series: The di erent cars, which Seinfeld tells us all about in loving detail; the di erent cities he visits in order to accommodate his guests and the various locales we get introduced to in each city; and the guests themselves, many of whom Seinfeld gets to drop their guard a little, giving us a bit of insight into the comedic mind. And Seinfeld is the perfect foil for them all, always ready to o er his often-hilarious observations.

That’s the Seinfeld you’ll see this week when he returns to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace (“The Joke Whisperer,” p. 32). If you’ve never seen his observational comedy in person (not that there’s anything wrong with that!), do yourself a favor and buy a ticket.

If you want to keep the laughs going, check out Ray Romano and Brian Regan at The Mirage, part of the property’s new Center Stage Comedy series (“No Limit on Laughs,” p. 17 ). Or check out singing ventriloquist Terry Fator’s show at New York-New York (“Getting in Characters,” p. 34).

Speaking of funny ... Lively and witty celebrity chef Martin Yan has opened his fi rst Las Vegas restaurant, M.Y. Asia at Horseshoe Las Vegas (“Yan Can Cook, You Can Eat,” p. 28). It’s got his personality—which is to say, engaging.

Get ready for a seriously fun Las Vegas visit!

Larger Than Life

Music superstar returns to enormously successful Resorts World residency

For Katy Perry, pop music’s reigning Queen of Camp, “Waking Up in Vegas” has become much more than a hit song and set list staple. Perry is and will always be a California gurl, but her Las Vegas residency places her on a stage that’s likely not far from where her aunt once kicked up her heels as a showgirl at the Stardust Resort and Casino. That property was imploded in 2007, making way for new beginnings and the explosive success of Perry’s residency, Play

By the end of its inaugural run that launched Dec. 29, 2021, Play grossed nearly $7 million with at least 32,000 Perry fans making the pilgrimage to her royal court. Inspired by childhood memories of television and film comedies such as Pee-wee’s Playhouse and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Perry and her production team let their imaginations run wild. They were so flushed with excitement that they even created an oversized commode with a talking inhabitant.

Perry balances the fun onstage with the seriousness of being in top condition physically and mentally to make Play look as effortlessly fun to present as it is demanding to perform. Perry became a mom during the pandemic, making her well-being a priority to balance work and family life. She even launched a nonalcoholic drink, De Soi, with a friend who also experienced a recent pregnancy and is making it available at Play for the sober-curious.

Her performance is intoxicating all on its own. Fans who attended Play last year witnessed Perry descend from the ceiling and placed in a bed by a giant hand to sing “E.T.” Styling by RuPaul collaborator Zaldy included colorfully gaudy ’60s-inspired outfits, a crystal dress embellished by strategically placed beer cans, a mushroom cap and a baby doll dress.

While costume changes were frequent, the arrangement of “Waking Up in Vegas” received a makeover as well. The song is jazzed up, as if played by lounge musicians in the golden age of the Strip. The career-spanning sets included “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Roar” and “Firework,” all realized live in a way only an entertainer with showgirl roots, dedication and discipline, and a neo-kitschy personal style can. –Matt

Deep Discoveries

Commemorate Titanic’s legacy by diving into its history

With the 111th anniversary of the Titanic’s sinking this week, divers and researchers continue to recover new artifacts and uncover new truths about the events that occurred on April 14, 1912. With that date approaching, there’s no better time to visit Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition , which houses an ever-changing collection of more than 250 items found in the wreckage.

“The truth that I am looking for is an accurate reflection of the events of the night; the exact circumstances of the sinking,” Bill Sauder, director of Titanic Research for RMS Titanic, Inc., told Las Vegas Magazine. “The single largest tragedy after the Titanic’s loss is that it has become clickbait … There’s a commercial motivation to make the evil people extra evil and the noble people extra pure, and it becomes almost a caricature.”

Reflecting that mission, the exhibit paints a very honest picture of the reality of the “unsinkable” vessel. From highlighting differences in treatment and accommodation between first-, second- and third-class passengers, to evaluating design and engineering shortcomings and telling passenger stories, each room unveils new actualities of the historic ocean liner. Personal

belongings like binoculars, jewelry and money fill the exhibit alongside White Star Line property like an entire cabinet of dishes that was found still intact.

There’s something here for the science buffs, too. The information displayed covers some of the process required to preserve different materials, including the Big Piece, which is a part of the hull that is so large it occupies its own room.

“(Artifacts) are recovered from the wreck site ... and immediately need to be treated to remove salt from the materials,” Jeffrey Taylor, director of collections at E/M Group, and in charge of storage and handling of the artifacts, said. “They’ve been in a dark, cold environment for decades and decades, so when oxygen and light hits many of these artifacts, it’s a very dangerous, critical situation.”

Seeing these artifacts and learning about the preservation process is already well worth a stop here. However, if you need a few more reasons, this experience comes with a photo op at the Grand Staircase replica, and you’ll receive a boarding pass with information about a passenger who was actually aboard the ship. –Em

No Limit on Laughs

Comedy giants pair up for new comedy series on the Strip

For years, Ray Romano held court with the hilarious David Spade at The Mirage as part of the Aces of Comedy series. Together, they were considered as sure a thing as there is on the Strip for guaranteed laughs. And that tradition is about to continue in a big way, albeit one with significant changes: With The Mirage’s eventual transformation into the Hard Rock Hotel, the property has unveiled its new comedy series, Center Stage Comedy. And Romano, one of its first featured comedians, is now joined onstage by Brian Regan

Emmy-winning Romano is, of course, immediately recognizable to a whole generation of fans who watched him every week on Everybody Loves Raymond (not to mention his star turns in movies like The Irishman, The Big Sick and Bad Education). His unmistakable voice is also front and center in animated fare like the Ice Age movies.

Regan is arguably one of the hardest-working comedians in the industry, as well as one of the most admired (Jerry Seinfeld, who featured him on two episodes of Comedians in Cars

Getting Coffee, refers to him as “one of my favorite, favorite stand-up comedians,” and has produced several Netflix productions starring Regan). He’s a great comic foil for Romano, capable of making anything funny—even shipping packages with UPS.

It’s the beginning of a new comedy tradition in Las Vegas. Be one of the first to say you were there. –Ken Miller

Let’s Go!

Don’t waste any time getting to this classic cucina

As much as Las Vegas is evolving, there are plenty of visitors to our town that really miss the old days of Sin City. Heck, we’ve even got a Mob Museum downtown that details the city’s crime-ridden (but much glorified) past. And for a taste of what it must have felt like to be a bigwig back in the day, you really can’t do better than Andiamo Steakhouse at downtown’s The D casino, a true throwback in practically every way.

The restaurant itself is relatively new to Las Vegas; D casino owner Derek Stevens loved the original in his hometown of Detroit and wanted a true Italian steakhouse as part of the property’s rebranding back in 2012. And as Stevens’ empire continues to grow (including the opening of his Circa Resort & Casino in 2020), Andiamo remains a core part of his philosophy—that everyone who visits his properties should feel like the most important person on the planet.

There are so many wonderful, shareable starters here that you may never want to shift to a main course. The Andiamo grande meatball is an absolute must, large enough for the whole table and smothered in tomato sauce and ricotta. The marinated portobello mushrooms and beef tenderloin tips come served in one of the best condiments you’ll taste in town—zip sauce, an Andiamo special recipe that’s practically its own food group.

The steak program here is world-class all the way—the top 8 percent of beef in the U.S. aged at a minimum of 30 days. No matter your choice—filet mignon, bone-in rib-eye, porterhouse or tomahawk—you’ll be guaranteed one of the tenderest, most flavorful cuts in all of Las Vegas.

Not in the mood for red meat? Andiamo has plenty of other options guaranteed to satisfy, including a seafood section with an impeccable Chilean sea bass, served on a pea risotto cake. Pasta fans will love both lobster ravioli and shrimp scampi, while vegetarians will want to check out the cauliflower steak, prepared with Italian grains and seasonal vegetables. –Ken

Whole New Worlds

The Disney universe comes alive at the latest Strip attraction

When it comes to entertainment excellence, it’s hard to compete with Disney. Just the mention of the word sets children into a frenzy, whether it’s scheduling a trip to Disneyland or Disneyworld or getting ready to stream the latest movies or series. Parents will no doubt experience the same reaction from the kids once they learn that there’s a brand-new Disney-themed immersive experience on the Vegas Strip.

In collaboration with Lighthouse Immersive Studios, the Walt Disney

Animation Studios has unveiled Disney Animation: Immersive Experience at Lighthouse ArtSpace Las Vegas (found at The Shops at Crystals). All your Disney favorites are featured here, from The Lion King, Frozen and Peter Pan to Encanto, Zootopia and Pinocchio, but not like you’ve ever seen them before.

“Just imagine journeying through Zootopia with Judy Hopps, diving to the ocean floor with Ariel, flying on a magic carpet with Aladdin, and stepping into Casita with Mirabel and the

family Madrigal,” Lighthouse Immersive founder Corey Ross said. “The work lends itself brilliantly to the immersive experience, and I am confident this program will give our guests the opportunity to be engulfed in the world of Disney, making them feel like they’re standing next to their favorite character and seeing the world through their eyes.” –Ken

There’s no need to leave if you’re in need of a drink or sustenance, as RedTail has a huge menu of beers, specialty cocktails, bottle service, wines, shareable cocktails and coffee cocktails. If you’ve got the munchies, the menu of dishes will delight with faves including poke nachos with wonton chips and a delicious spicy mayo and sweet soy sauce, Wisconsin cheese curds served with a pineapple aioli, the You Fancy, Huh? burger with a wagyu patty served on brioche with a bordelaise sauce, and the addictive cereal treat desserts.

For the budget-conscious, enjoy happy hour every Thursday through Sunday from 4-6 p.m. with $1 bonein wings and $3 off 20-ounce draft beers. Another great deal is the $25 prix fixe menu with your choice of appetizer, like the pepper poppers; and one of three sandwiches. Celebrity chef brings twists on classic dishes to vibrant new restaurant

When news came out that PBS food star Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook was opening a restaurant in Las Vegas, every PBS fan around geeked out, including this writer. M.Y. Asia opened in mid-March at Horseshoe Las Vegas, with the James Beard Foundation 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award winner introducing his cuisine at several events beforehand.

At one, Yan wandered in the crowd dispensing handshakes and taking selfies before introducing one of the signature dishes he has been associated

with—hand-pulled noodles, with a chef pulling the noodles as Yan explained that the process “has been practiced in China for 3,500 years.”

“Everybody say ‘lai mein,’” he said, exhorting guests to repeat the phrase “with energy, with commitment,” as each subsequent pass through the younger chef’s hands resulted in a doubling of the amount of noodles. In less than a minute, thousands of strands had been produced.

In the restaurant, a vibrant, modestly proportioned dining room is

anchored by a large exhibition kitchen, where that noodle-pilling process occurs nightly, as well as a tradition-based face-changing performance.

It’s not only Chinese specialties that you can try at M.Y. Asia; in a release before the opening, Yan said, “Having traveled through Korea and Japan in the North, to Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam in the South, and through the many fabulous food meccas in China and all over Asia, allowed me to fi ll my culinary treasure chest with unique, colorful, authentic and tasty. Those dishes will make up the M.Y. Asia menu, showcasing food in an exciting, entertaining and nourishing way.”

That diversity is evident across the menu, with each section pulling from di erent countries, including starters of Beijing pork pot stickers and a traditional Vietnamese roll with vermicelli rice noodles, shrimp, pork belly and vegetables; and dim sum with har gow shrimp and siu mai, shrimp and pork in a wonton wrapper. Green papaya and Vietnamese herb glass noodle salads, beef chow fun, fried rice, Chef Yan’s Cantonese roast duck, Street Hawker pad Thai, Thai yellow curry coconut chicken, orange chicken, Mongolian chicken and wasabi walnut shrimp are all represented.

Recipes from Yan Can Cook are also represented, with Taiwanese Three Cup Chicken Wings being inspired by Season 5, Episode 20 of the series, where Yan butchered a chicken in 18 seconds.

myasialv.com

Weekly specials mean you might fi nd dishes such as M.Y. sweet and sour prawns, crab fried rice, whole lobster in di erent sauce like salt and pepper, and more, plus rice noodles and chow fun. The Lucky Bell Bar may become the perfect place to hang out after dinner, with several delicious cocktails available including the Stepping Stone, with Patron reposado, Grand Marnier, lemon juice, passionfruit and yuzu, plus wine and beer.

Stand-up’s longest-reigning ruler Jerry Seinfeld never stops thinking about comedy

Jerry Seinfeld never looked back once he fi rst stepped onstage to try his hand at stand-up. Before then, Seinfeld, who returns to Las Vegas for the fi rst time since 2019, was more likely to say something funny sotto voce to make a fellow high school student laugh out loud during class than play the clown. Once he felt the rush of telling a joke that works and getting unanimous approval from an audience, he was hooked. Comedy became his preoccupation, and then his occupation.

Seinfeld still lives for comedy, hits clubs regularly and hangs out with comedians. He’s passionate about automobiles and is a dedicated family man, but his respect and regard for his peers—comedians who

made the e ort and became successful—comes through in interviews and his work. His latest o stage e ort, The Comedians In Cars Getting Co ee Book, is dedicated to the web series now housed on Netfl ix, in which from 2012 to 2019 Seinfeld did indeed match a collectible car with prominent performers in comedy. It was his second hit series ostensibly about nothing but always supplying something memorable or insightful. When Seinfeld picked up Jimmy Fal-

lon in an aqua-colored Corvette Stingray, the Tonight Show host brought up how he always gravitates to other comedians at parties. Seinfeld practices that habit and has elaborated on how comedians relate to each other, bonding over their similar states of mind that are always receptive to fi nding humor in everyday life occurrences as well as ideas that can be the genesis of new material.

The Jerry Seinfeld of today is no less the insightful observer of the human condition, with

its Pop-Tarts and cereals and smart phones and oppression of left-handed people such as himself, but he seems more acerbic if his 2020 Netfl ix special 23 Hours to Kill is any indication. Seinfeld was in top form for the performance at New York’s Beacon Theatre. He’s a little more caustic than the Seinfeld-era Seinfeld without coming o as cantankerous. Maybe that’s due to being married, which enabled him to add wife jokes to his repertoire. Maybe it’s a reaction to

the current social climate that makes many of his peers more cautious about what they say onstage or online. Seinfeld was the fi rst prominent comedian to criticize the chilling e ect of post-millennium political correctness on comedy, although he has no fear of being booked on college campuses.

Along with Chris Rock’s recent Selective Outrage, 23 Hours to Kill is a testament to the excellence that manifests when top talent takes a stand against forces that could limit their imaginations or make them think twice about telling a joke lest o ence commence.

When Seinfeld isn’t onstage, he’s most comfortable behind a steering wheel. He frequently appears on the Spike’s Car Radio podcast alongside host and “The Soup Nazi” scriptwriter Spike Feresten. On a recent episode, Seinfeld, who has practiced Transcendental Meditation since 1972, described the kinetically soothing procedure for starting his 1969 Mercedes 220 diesel like it was a spiritual experience. Only stand-up takes him higher.

Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens gets to the heart of romance with newest exhibit

Perhaps no exhibit at Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens has had as direct of a connection to the property's beginnings as

Giardino Dell’ Amore, or has had as e ectively dramatic lighting design. The display, created by designer Ed Libby for spring, resembles a

lush, lavish European garden with floral sculptures, bronze statuary on round marble bases and a garden table served by adjacent restaurants Sadelle’s Café and Michael Mina (available for reservations).

Libby ensures there is a story behind each item. “It’s never just a

34 | 4.9.23 Las Vegas Magazine Photos courtesy of MGM Resorts International

tree,” says Lea Jonic, Conservatory manager, on a mid-March Tuesday morning tour through Giardino Dell’ Amore (Garden of Love). “There’s life represented in the citrus, or renewed energy by the sun. When he designs the lighting scheme, there’s a story he’s trying to tell, whether it be a vibrant, yellow moving pattern on the sun to really let that energy shine through or moonlight reflecting o of trees in the gazebo.”

Attention to light and shade creates di erent moods for di erent times of the day. Natural light best brings out the vibrancy of the color combinations for the four floral heart arches consisting of some 24,000 roses, which creates a tunnel of love in the East Bed. A bronze fountain adorned with vessel-carrying maidens and instrument-playing cherubs creates a roundabout at the tunnel’s center.

It’s a good place to get a view of the North Bed’s citrus tree and anthropomorphized sun shining above the koi pond and its finned inhabitants. The scent of orange blossom melds with the scene of fruit-bearing trees reflecting its share of the color spectrum back at the sun. “Volare” may be playing on the sound system, or perhaps “Time to Say Goodbye,” while a backdrop of high-definition video screens shows visuals of fountains and flowing waters that complement the physical setting.

The end of the tunnel leads to the West Bed, where a pair of influencers wearing gowns that match the pink and blue flowers of Giardino Dell’ Amore enjoy brunch from Sadelle’s at Garden Table. Michael Mina provides seafood selections for dinner, when the abundance of rich purple wisteria becomes the dominant hue of the evening setting. Two large cherub statues sentry the gazebo and Eu-

ropean-style fountain, while a large pair of lovebirds float nearby.

The South Bed is nothing short of a work of art, with a dream boat seemingly abandoned by its passengers right after popping the cork on a bottle of champagne. It could be a scene from Lake Como, the inspiration for the design of Bellagio, or the literal interpretation of love, Italian-style.

Just beyond the West Bed is The Flower Prince, a self-portrait by

702.693.7111

artist Martine Gutiérrez, ensconced in a floral frame. It’s part of the spring-themed In Bloom exhibit at Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, where the team that created Giardino Dell’ Amore fashioned a floral foyer that creates the feeling of entering another world.

For now, the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens feels like a world of romance with European-accented flair, which is the next best thing to being there.

Terry Fator continues his musical journey through puppets in Las Vegas

To call Terry Fator’s show at New York-New York, Who’s the Dummy Now?, intimate would be a considerable understatement. The newest version of his long-standing Las Vegas show at Liberty Lofts sits atop the Tom’s Urban restaurant, which faces the Strip. It’s a much smaller space than the one he held court at for years at The Mirage (and, before that, the Las Vegas Hilton, now the Westgate), but the amount of talent Fator packs into one show is the same.

And honestly? As someone who has seen Fator countless times, in these smaller confi nes, this version allows Fator to get closer to his audience—both figuratively and literally. You also get a much better look at those now-iconic dummies that propel the voices of singers like Garth Brooks, Al Green, Kermit the Frog, Lesley Gore and dozens of others that Fator imitates to a pitch-perfect shine—all without moving his lips.

Part of the fun of a Fator show is how it’s like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates. Fator has created so many puppets over the years that

he can’t squeeze all of them into one show. Thus, the format may switch wildly, depending on what Fator is in the mood for. There are some characters you’re almost always guaranteed to see, however:

Walter T. Airdale, Fator’s fi rst puppet and a constant backstage narrator in each performance (usually updating the crowd as to how many ex-wives he has);

Maynard Tompkins, the World’s Greatest Elvis Impersonator who seemingly has never actually heard an Elvis song;

Duggie Scott Walker, a stoner who lives with his mother and can’t stop saying the word “Dude!”; Winston the Impersonating Turtle, irresistibly cute and full of wonder about the world around him (like why he has no energy to sit up when Fator takes a vacation without him);

Complementing this core cast are characters like Fernando V. Francisco, a Latin lover who attempts to hit on a poor soul in the fi rst row; Julius, a soulful singer who gives Fator some advice on how to impress the ladies; and

Vikki the Cougar, who’s full of double-entendres regarding her, um, romantic escapades.

Fator has also crafted a sizable collection of puppets that look eerily like their real-life counterparts. On any night, you might hear Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson duet, or get appearances from Justin Bieber (complete with Dolly Parton and Ozzy Osbourne angels on each shoulder), David Bowie, Frank Sinatra or Willie Nelson.

Of course, there’s that signature Fator humor—sometimes political, sometimes punny, and oftentimes dad jokes times infi nity. The comedy reaches its zenith when Fator singles out audience members and speaks to them through his many puppets. It’s very strange to consider that Fator speaking directly to these people would be a bit creepy, but through the mouths of wooden characters, it’s hysterical!

But, as Fator asks the audience at the show’s beginning, “You came to see the puppets, didn’t you?” And that’s because Fator, like his audiences, is no dummy.

You’ll find plenty of options at Las Vegas Boulevard and Russell Road By

THERE ARE A MILLION THINGS TO DO IN VEGAS … well, at least 999,999. It can be overwhelming, trying to narrow all your options down. That’s where we come in. In Las Vegas Magazine ’s ongoing Day Planner series, we’ll take you to a different location in Las Vegas, and help you plan out your day. In this story, let’s look at the south Strip area at the corner of Russell Road and Las Vegas Boulevard South. A quick tip: Wear comfy shoes between destinations, as it may be farther than you anticipate, slather on that sunscreen, stay hydrated, and build in some walking time.

9 a.m.: Yes, it’s early, but you have a lot to do today. Most coffee kiosks open at 7 or 8 a.m., and if you are staying in

Shark Reef and Bali Hai Tiki Bar & Grille photos by Christopher DeVargas Nina King

Shark Reef Aquarium

the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas or Mandalay Bay, Press makes a fi ne place to enjoy a cup of joe. If you are hungry, grab a pastry, too. It’s really too early for a big meal.

10 a.m.: The fi rst place to hustle to is Shark Reef Aquarium . This super-cool experience at Mandalay Bay leads you through the ruins of a temple and a shipwreck, all populated by exotic creatures. You’ll fi nd Komodo dragons, sea turtles, piranhas, jellyfi sh and an octopus, in addition to the eponymous sharks. Your ticket is good for a one-hour entry time slot, while anytime tickets are more.

Noon : Take a walk down the Boulevard to Bali Hai Tiki Bar & Grille, where you can get a range of American food like wings and burgers in the casual environment with tiki décor, plus surprisingly light, delicious tiki drinks. For a more trendy lunch, wait till you get a look at the menu at Sayulitas across Las Vegas Boulevard. The eatery has plenty of super-hearty, inventive Mexican dishes, plus a bacon-wrapped carne asada burrito that’s enormous.

1-4 p.m.: Next up, enjoy a round of golf at Bali Hai, or some retro goodness

at the Pinball Hall of Fame on the east side of the Strip, a casual destination where you can wander through an enormous number of functional machines from a number of di erent eras. Throw in some quarters for a little inexpensive entertainment.

5-6:30 p.m.: Grab a burger at the newly opened Wahlburgers in The Shoppes at Mandalay Place. We recommend the Our Burger, a 1/3-pound patty with “government cheese,” lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and Paul Wahlberg’s signature Wahl Sauce .

7 p.m .: If you are a fan of the TV show, America’s Got Talent presents SUPERSTARS Live at Luxor allows you to see some of the best entertainers from the series, like singer Kodi Lee.

9 p.m.: On the way back, check out speakeasy-style bar 1923 Prohibition Bar and enjoy a great cocktail. ... or ...

5 p.m. : Early dinner at Libertine Social for flatbreads, steak tartare and the Caviar “Fried Egg” (and the balloon bread is exceptional). Across the hotel floor, Kumi Japanese Restaurant & Bar for tasty rolls and sashimi. (If you give them a day’s notice, they can create

jaw-dropping vegan sushi.)

7-9 p.m. : Indulge in a little gambling—we’re rooting for you to take a jackpot home.

9 p.m.: S Bar features an impressive art deco design, an intimate bar and plenty of couches to relax on. Both the cocktails and food are excellent. They are open until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

MacDonald Highlands home is the ultimate in luxury

In terms of prestige and demand, MacDonald Highlands is in the forefront in the Las Vegas Valley, a sprawling, 1,320-acre masterplanned community where luxury is the norm rather than the exception. It’s an irresistible combination of natural formations (it’s in the foothills of Black Mountain) and

some of the most opulent homes you’re ever likely to see in Southern Nevada, combined with their frontage along DragonRidge Golf Course. The community features two 24-hour, guard-gated entries, as well as access to excellent schools, upscale shopping, fine dining and world-class entertainment.

If you want to see what life could be like here, schedule a tour of a home that just became available, one that surpasses your wildest dreams.

This two-story, 7,136-square foot beauty, listed by Ivan Sher of IS LUXURY, is just stunning inside and out. It features four bedrooms,

six bathrooms and a six-car garage, and the only way to describe the overall feel is “sanctuary.” It sits on a hilltop, meaning you have not only privacy but amazing views of the Strip and surrounding valley.

The well-designed home is meant for seamless movement from one area to another, thanks to multislide pocket doors that help to also create the feeling of even more space (as if this home needed it!). This is a space that is perfect for a variety of get-togethers—f rom small to really, really large ones.

There are far too many interior details to go through in one sitting, but one undeniable highlight is the chef-style kitchen, with touches you’d expect in an estate like this, from an open ceiling and walk-in pantry to glass wine wall. Elsewhere, you’ll enjoy a rec room, wet bar, welcoming home theater and a home office with private entry. Because of this home’s size, all bedrooms ensure maximum privacy. Three en-suite bedrooms are on the first floor (and all fully equipped with amenities). The

expansive, upstairs primary suite boasts a fireplace and wall of pocket doors that open onto a huge balcony (and, of course, ridiculous views). Its bathroom includes a dressing table, enormous walk-in closet, steam shower and large freestanding tub.

Make your way outside and you’ll be mesmerized by the zero-edge pool and spa. Welcome to your very own sanctuary. –Ken Miller
