And If You Act Now ...

One of the constant themes you’ll fi nd in my editor’s note is urgency. Yes, we have plenty to enjoy here, and yes, entertainment options are growing by the minute. But there are so many o erings that many of you might take for granted. As amazing as these shows are, there’s no guarantee they’re going to be here when you get back.

Such is the case with two performances this week: Katy Perry and The B-52s. Perry, who has been packing the Resorts World Theater ever since launching her residency Play in late 2021, announced recently that her last residency show is Nov. 4. So consider this your fair warning: If you haven’t seen this yet, don’t live the rest of your life regretting that fact. To pique your interest, we’ve compiled some of the more interesting facts and figures surrounding her show over the years (“It Adds Up,” p. 18). And The B-52s, who had planned to call it quits following their last tour, fell in love with The Venetian so much that they are coming back for a handful of shows ending Sept. 3 (“Still Movin’ and Groovin,’” p. 34). Again, this is an incredible opportunity, folks. Don’t miss your (possibly) last chance.

Speaking of urgency, who’s the most important person in your life? That’s right, Mom. And this Mother’s Day, we’ve given you options for showing her how much you care (“Mother of Mine,” p. 38). Read it, and then consider yourself o cially out of excuses for waiting until the last minute.

We’ve packed so much more into this issue as well, from new Caesars Palace restaurant Stanton Social Prime (“It’s Showtime!” p. 28) to Cirque du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE at The Mirage (“It’s Really Something,” p. 17 ).

We know you’ll do the right thing this week. After all, you’re here; you didn’t take Las Vegas for granted.

All Your Favorites

It’s a question I’ve asked myself many, many times over the years, watching the ridiculously talented individuals who compete on America’s Got Talent: “Why aren’t more of these amazing people performing on the Strip?” Well, a few years ago, my prayers were answered in the form of America’s Got Talent Presents SUPERSTARS Live, a variety show that features a rotating lineup of some of the greatest AGT acts of all time under one roof.

Fans of AGT will find so much to enjoy here. Not only is it the perfect chance to see some of the acts they love, the production is constantly updating its lineup, making return visits practically mandatory. For instance, the show’s host has varied widely through the years, from stand-up comedians like Mike E. Winfield, Preacher Lawson and Vicki Barbolak to magicians like Jon Dorenbos and mentalist Peter Antoniou.

While many shows are advertised as having something for everyone, this show has truly delivered on that promise over the years:

• Magic acts featured have included Dustin Tavella (the winner of his AGT season), Mervant Vera, who creates spontaneous raps to go along with his amazing sleight-of-hand illusions,

and Léa Kyle, a quick-change artist who blew away judge (and Kyle’s idol) Heidi Klum, getting a Golden Buzzer in the process.

• Laughter has come courtesy of The Human Fountains, a group of tuxedo-clad men who spit water in unison, not only into the air but occasionally each other’s mouths.

• Acrobatic acts have included Duo Transcend, a husband and wife who keep each other suspended above the stage, and Aidan Bryant, who performs solo using a variety of props to propel himself in the air.

• Thrill acts have included husbandand-wife team Deadly Games, a knifeand axe-throwing act that’s simultaneously sexy and scary.

• Music acts have included The Pack Drumline, a group of percussionists who dance and sometimes contort themselves into crazy positions.

• Singers of all styles have graced the stage, including Jimmie Herrod (whose rendition of “Tomorrow” made judge Simon Cowell reluctantly agree that it is a great song) and Kodi Lee (the winner of his AGT season), whose singing brings you to tears. –Ken Miller

Drink and Discover

Explore oddities at this hot commodity

Fall down the rabbit hole (meaning take the escalator down from Horseshoe Las Vegas’ casino floor) to The Cabinet of Curiosities and The Lock . This strange, beautiful land is filled with drinking adventures combined with experiential storytelling, sure to make both your mind and body giddy with delight.

Your first adventure begins inside The Cabinet of Curiosities. Inside this lounge, you can spend hours exploring cabinet after cabinet filled with oddities that have strange, funny and entertaining stories behind them. Each piece is assigned a number—find out its name and story by scanning a QR code on your phone. Look up No. 4381, the Mystical Typewriter, where folklore claims that a tale composed with the typewriter will make its author famous but with irksome caveats. There’s also No. 8251, the Dancing Squid that once belonged to the breeders of competitive show-jumping squids.

Another great feature of The Cabinet is that some of the specialty cocktails are inspired by the oddities like the Dancing Squid. The Dancing Squid Stinger is a mix of cognac, crème de menthe and cream. Or opt for one of the other popular cocktails that are twists on classics like the Peachtree Sweet Tea, a version of Long Island Iced Tea, mixed with vodka, gin, rum, peach liqueur, sour mix and sweetened tea. Your adventure doesn’t end inside The Cabinet, though; it continues when you make a reservation for The Lock (pictured), a speakeasy behind what looks like a vault door. Pick up the telephone to get a secret password, wait for a keyhole to open, give your password and the door opens into an antechamber where you and your party will have to solve a puzzle to make it into the intimate speakeasy. Inside, you’ll travel back in time and sip on specialty cocktails. A special touch inside The Lock is getting to build your own cocktail with the bartender based on your preferences.

And new for spring, guests of The Cabinet of Curiosities and The Lock can enjoy new cocktails at each bar with seasonal ingredients like edible flowers, pickled cherry blossom flowers, geranium bitters, viola flowers, rose water and butterfly pea flower tea. –

Horseshoe Las Vegas, 21+, the cabinetlv.com. You must make a reservation for The Lock, a 90-minute experience with a twodrink minimum.

It’s Really Something

Cirque du Soleil production combines brilliant songs and visuals

As it prepares to celebrate its 17th anniversary on the Strip, The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil can stake its claim to being one of the most beloved shows in Las Vegas entertainment. It’s an irresistible combination of the group’s best songs and the visuals that Cirque has become famous for, resulting in a production you want to see again and again.

The theater itself is an achievement, with speakers in each chair making you feel like you’re hearing “Yesterday,”

“Here Comes the Sun” and “Octopus’s Garden” for the first time. And in a way, you are; the music mix by longtime Beatles producer George Martin and his son Giles seamlessly blends everything together, sometimes layering songs on top of songs.

Those tracks, coupled with routines ranging from synchronized rollerbladers and acrobats to dancers and aerialists, has a sublime effect—it’s almost as if the songs themselves are coming to life. And not only the songs, but some

of the characters featured in those songs. You’ll meet Father McKenzie, Sgt. Pepper, Lady Madonna, Doctor Robert and many more on this magical mystery tour. Long after the lights have faded, odds are you’ll be seeing all of them in your mind’s eye next time a Beatles song comes on the radio.

The music of the Fab Four will live on forever; here’s hoping the same holds true for LOVE –Ken Miller

It Adds Up

Count on creativity in pop superstar’s vibrant Resorts World residency

What takes 22 truckloads of equipment, 265 speakers and 11 oversized set pieces? None other than Katy Perry ’s incredible Play residency in Las Vegas, of course. Easily one of the most impressive residencies to hit the Strip, the kitschy show requires some serious star power. So let’s break it down by the numbers:

• Throughout the colorful five -act show, the star performs 20 musical numbers, including nine #1 hits. So you can certainly count on hearing your favorites along with bangers from the artist’s entire discography, from “One of the Boys” to “Smile”;

• A varied cast supports Perry, including seven band members, 12 backup dancers, two harmonizing pieces of furniture and an absolutely hysterical vaping rat. Not to mention, a team of four assist the pop star through eight costume changes, which last no longer than two and a half minutes. If you’re exceptionally lucky, you may be one of two audience members who get to be part of the action; without spoiling anything, bring your dancing shoes;

• Speaking of people, a 24 -person team synchronizes to arrange each new set, including an 8-footby-10-foot-by-16-foot orange talking toilet and a 15-foot-by-20-foot tub that weighs more than 6,500 pounds. This week, the team will be moving those gargantuan props across the theater’s 200-foot-long stage for the 55th and 56th time;

• Spread throughout four levels, there are enough seats for 4,703 Katy Kats to witness the spectacle. If proximity is a concern, worry not; even the furthest seat from the stage is only 150 feet away.

By the time the curtain closes, you’ll certainly want to see it all over again—at least once. Luckily, after this week, there are 24 more show dates to choose from. –Em Jurbala

Latin music sensation’s latest wax figure is sure to be a hit with fans

Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny has had a tremendous impact on the music industry in a very short time, and just in case you need proof of that, head to Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, which recently unveiled his newest wax figure (He has others in New York and Orlando, Fla.).

Known almost as much for his songs as for the way he presents himself (in both his wardrobe and social stances), Bad Bunny’s most recent wax figure, in which he’s posed in front of a purple semi decked out with flames, was inspired not only by the album cover for El Último Tour Del Mundo, but by his outfit, hair and jewelry from the 2021 American Music Awards.

The figure was unveiled a few weeks ago to coincide with the Latin Music Awards on April 20, where he won awards for Album of the Year and Best Album—Urban for Un Verano Sin Ti and Best Song—Urban for “Tití Me Preguntó.”

Gabriel Hewitt, general manager for Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, said the most recent figure was not only to celebrate the nominations, but to congratulate and honor Bad Bunny for being the first Latin artist to headline Coachella. “He’s having such an incredible year, and we’re excited to be a part of his success by revealing his third figure.”

Go grab a selfie with the man whose songs like “La Cancion,” “Dime Si Te Acuerdas” and “Mía” helped bring reggaeton and trap music to a wider audience. Then share it on Instagram to make your friends jealous. –Ken

In Comfort and Style

Enjoy steakhouse classics with adventurous touches downtown

Everything about Barry’s Downtown Prime makes you feel comfortable, from the dark woods to cushy booths and leather chairs, all lit with chandeliers overhead. It all evokes an old steakhouse feel while still maintaining some modern touches. It’s the perfect atmosphere for enjoying some signature cocktails, and chef and owner Barry Dakake is always experimenting and updating his selection.

Appetizers are a must at Barry’s, with a wild combination of flavors in delights like a bone marrow luge

atop a bed of fettuccine Alfredo topped with Parmigiano Reggiano, truffle butter and Madeira wine. If you want to keep the beef theme going, it doesn’t get much better—or eye-catching—than the 46-ounce Mishima Reserve tomahawk ribeye, sourced from Mishima Reserve Farms in Seattle. Don’t forget to add on sides like George’s Cream Corn (named after then-Palms owner George Maloof when Dakake worked at Palms), tater tots topped with aged cheddar cheese, crispy bacon and scallions, and whole Maine

lobster mac ’n’ cheese, served in a hollowed-out lobster tail.

If you’re more of a seafood fan, the Dover sole is a treat for both the eyes and tastebuds, sautéed and served with baby gulf shrimp, lemon and butter sauce. And the “organic” fire chicken, accompanied by sliced red Fresno chilis, jalapeños, lemon and rosemary au jus, is rich and delicious, and one of the best versions in all of downtown. –Ken Miller

venue at The Venetian offers darts, drinks and socializing

Welcome to Flight Club, a new place to play on the Strip—and trust us, you’re going to want to bring your friends.

“We’re the home of social darts,” says general manager Steve Ely. “It’s a way to experience darts with a large group of people and it gives you the ability to interact with others while playing a game.”

The company, popular in other locations in Chicago, Boston and Houston, recently opened its fourth location in Vegas at The Venetian, and the enter-

tainment venue has already received great fanfare and hosted large crowds.

The 16,000-square-foot venue is filled with visual delights, decorated in the theme of “Victorian fairgrounds meets British pub.” Whether you’re a beginner or novice dart player, your group will have fun in your individual “oche,” (pronounced like “hockey” without the “h”), which can accommodate up to a dozen people. Here you’ll enjoy playing different games of darts—Flight Club uses a proprietary scoring system,

which tracks the darts’ scores so that you don’t have to keep track of the points yourself. There is no charge to book an oche; you just pay a per-person fee to play (like bowling). You get 90 minutes, and there is no food and beverage spending minimum.

But by all means, do not miss the drinking and dining options here. Order specialty cocktails and shareable plates. Check out the fun Carousel Menu, where different spirits are paired up with botanical ingredients. Three of

Friends With Benefits

Dave Goida

Bartender is having fun under the sun

As a bartender at Stadium Swim at Circa Resort & Casino, Dave Goida has one big goal. “I travel the world, I go on vacations, and there’s always that one employee—whether it be the taxi driver, bartender, the server, the busboy—there’s always that one employee that you remember on each vacation you take,” he says. “I strive to be that person. I treat people the way I like to be treated when I travel. I like to build relationships with my customers—they come back and see me again and I know what drink they’re having.”

Goida has been building relationships through bartending since he got his start in the industry nearly three decades ago, beginning in his home state of New York. In 1998, he made the move to Las Vegas to further his career and eventually helped open Palms, where he still works today, part time. Goida was a lead bartender at Palms during its heyday and transitions, heading up the bar at legacy nightclubs like Rain, Playboy Club and Ghostbar; today he helps bartend for the property during its banquet events.

Guests of Stadium Swim will be delighted to know that it has one of the biggest specialty cocktail lists at a pool. Try the White Strawberry Lemonade, a perfect seasonal sip mixed with Skyy Infusions wild strawberry vodka, elderflower liqueur, lemon sour and strawberry slices. –KM

Goida’s full-time gig, though, is working the bar at Stadium Swim; he joined the property when it opened in 2020. “This is my first time doing daylife bartending, and I love it,” he says. “Stadium Swim is very customer-driven. It’s also a sportsperson’s paradise.”

He also loves being a part of guests’ memories at Stadium Swim. “The more people that come to my bar, the better,” he says. “People come back several times a year, and I appreciate that. I meet people from all over the world, and I love that.” –Kiko

Stanton Social Prime specializes in presentation and shareable plates

Think of a meal at Stanton Social Prime as dinner and a show—not the traditional type, mind you, but still one where you are constantly entertained. Everything at Chris Santos’ restaurant is designed to stimulate your senses, from décor and service to menu and am-

bience. It’s next-level dining that is sure to generate plenty of buzz among foodies of every stripe.

Situated next to Omnia (both Stanton Social Prime and that nightclub are partnerships between Caesars Entertainment and Tao Group Hospitality),

this space feels special the moment you enter. There’s a large dining room to your left and a 10-seat bar area to your right, as well as two private dining rooms. The decor, including red, blue and gold patterns, creates an elegant mood. In such a space, you would expect

plenty of showmanship, and Stanton more than delivers.

Everything here is meant to be shared, which ranges from starters and steaks to desserts, and presentation is always a priority. It even extends to the cocktails—order the Where There’s Oak and you’ll be delivered a metal-andglass box, in which your Old-Fashioned is being smoked to perfection. And that’s just the beginning.

Starters like tomato tartare are small, delicious works of art, all topped with

a quail egg, while prime filet carpaccio gets a lemon-thyme brown butter drizzle for a real flavor zing. Steak tartare lovers will absolutely flip for the wagyu filet steak tartare, served on top of a hot and crispy Comté cheese“quesadilla”— it’s almost like a pizza! A true highlight on this part of the menu, the Famous French onion soup dumplings are a Santos favorite—and for good reason.

Steak selections include Kobe A5 and the 64-ounce super tomahawk, the latter of which makes for a truly

unforgettable “show”: A server wheels it by your table, hanging from a hook and surrounded by tiny lights. A cognac flambé is poured over the steak, making for a great show for everyone in the room, as well as adding tons of flavor to the meat. Sides include Dirty Tots (thick and rich, served with lobster crème fraîche and caviar), miso-glazed crispy eggplant and lobster mac and cheese with a taleggio blend and almost two pounds of lobster. And what other restaurant considers presentation in its steak sauces? Chanterelle No. 5 is served in a perfume bottle!

In addition to steaks, Stanton has great fish and chicken options, from the whole grilled branzino, served with saffron caramelized fennel and leeks, to a huge chicken Parmigiana.

The showmanship continues with dessert. You might wonder how in the world you are going to share the strawberry blond “milkshake”—until you realize it’s actually a vanilla sponge cake, flavored with strawberry mousse and Chantilly cream. And wait until you get a look at the height of the toasted meringue atop the key lime pie. For something decadent, opt for the peanut butter and chocolate cake stuffed with peanut butter mousse and devil’s food cake and covered with chocolate sauce.

BRAD GARRETT is a TV legend that everyone recognizes from Everybody Loves Raymond, but he’s become an irreplaceable part of the Las Vegas comedy scene as well. His namesake comedy club at MGM

From stand-up to TV, Brad Garrett is as busy as ever

Grand is an entertainment institution, and it has only become more vibrant and popular with its recent move to a bustling location along the resort’s District area leading to the Grand Garden Arena. Garrett himself is one of the most regular acts at the club (he plays May 12-17) , and he’s also one of the biggest draws considering two new high-profile TV gigs.

You were recently honored by the UNLV College of Fine Arts with an induction into its hall of fame. Do you feel like that really strengthened your connection with Las Vegas?

That was very cool, and really nice of them, and a little unexpected for a guy who only did six weeks at UCLA. It’s really an honor. And it felt like it (strengthened that connection). I still can’t believe it; I started here in 1986 and it’s been a good run. I’m very grateful. It’s still my favorite town to perform and it’s been good to me.

Now that your club has really found a groove at its new location, what’s it like for you to return to perform there?

I never take it for granted. I always thought it would be great to be able to open a club and really showcase a lot of new talent, and that’s what we’ve been able to do. There are guys that started at the club 10 years ago and now they have Netflix specials or became regulars on (TV). My relationship with MGM started when they opened their doors in 1993, and it’s just great to be part of this institution in Vegas. And I love the business end of the club. I’ve always enjoyed that part, and since we’ve

put in the lounge and started doing music on weekends and we have the MGM folks coming up with different types of unique cocktails, it’s just become a whole place offering much more than just stand-up.

And it remains a great place for the comedians, too, which it always has been at any location. Is the backstage vibe and atmosphere a lot different at this location?

I think it’s the vibe we’ve always had. I’ve always been very hands-on with the comedians and their reps, and we’ve all worked at so many dives coming up in our careers, we wanted to make sure this is a little oasis for a comic who just came back from working a club in Arkansas and now he can have a great room and access to different things in Vegas. But backstage is where the comics

always have the most fun, always busting chops and trying to one-up each other. It’s key to the club working, along with—I know it sounds like a cliché—my team. I have a great group of folks … running everything in front of and behind the stage and keeping the comics happy and staying involved.

You have some really cool TV projects premiering this month. Can you tell us about them?

High Desert is coming out May 19 and I’m really looking forward to that, on which I worked with Patricia Arquette and Matt Dillon, and I just finished a role on Bupkis, which is Pete Davidson’s new show where he plays himself with Edie Falco as his mom and Joe Pesci as his grandfather. I played Pesci’s best friend, and it premieres on Peacock on May 4. It’s a really interesting show and Pete plays himself, in his present life, and it’s very autobiographical and very honest.

And in the middle of all those exciting arrivals, you get to come back and play on your own stage in Las Vegas.

I’m still living the stand-up life, all these years later, and it’s still different every night. Fortunately I’ve created four or five different ways to bomb, so it’s really exciting.

For the B-52s and The Venetian, it’s all one big ‘Love Shack’

Courtesyphoto

The B-52s may be done touring but they’re hardly done. Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider and Cindy Wilson paid their dues more than 40 years ago as pioneers of the independent touring circuit, having traveled from their Athens, Ga., headquarters to New York in December 1977 for the band’s first out-of-state gig at Max’s Kansas City. The Monday-night crowd heard surf guitars ri s and ’60s Farfisa organ sounds recontextualized as genre-bending, avant-garde dance music by a quintet decked out in quirky thrift-store couture.

That show, with classics “Rock Lobster” and “Planet Claire” on the setlist, could be considered ground zero

for what would become known as new wave music. “We were so di erent from anything else, especially coming from Georgia,” said speak-singing frontman Schneider in a phone interview with Las Vegas Magazine. “It was like, ‘Where on Earth did these people come from?’”

Now people are coming from all over the world to see them for Love Shack: The Vegas Residency. Although the B-52s completed a farewell-to-touring tour with a homecoming show in January, there is still much life in The World’s Greatest Party Band.

“We’re still going to do shows,” said Schneider, who

considers himself more comedian than vocalist. “I had planned on not touring before COVID. I just was tired of touring. Flying is not … very rarely do we fly a private jet, so it’s like getting to the airport, going to the airport. What a chore. I’m not a people person. I just want to tell people to shut up.”

With band members involved in various business interests, it made more sense to have fans come to them. The Final Tour Ever stop at The Venetian went over well enough for the B-52s to receive an invitation for future extended stays.

“The lighting’s there. We don’t have to schlep and rent stu . Sound’s good. They’ve treated us really well,” said Schneider. Along with expected classics “Roam” and “Private Idaho,“ the band may include rarities and surprises. “We want to do songs we didn’t do on the last tour and the last time we were in Vegas.”

The Vegas dates make it possible, if not probable, for founding drummer Keith Strickland to see a show if not sit in with the band. Strickland, who retired from touring in 2012 and came onstage for a bow at the final Final Tour Ever concert in Athens, became the band’s creative spark after guitarist Ricky Wilson died in 1985. He’s notoriously shy though, hardly possessing the ego of someone responsible for the lion’s share of compositions on the B-52s 1989 comeback album Cosmic Thing

He’s also responsible for the iconic wigs Pierson and Cindy Wilson became known for—sort of. “The wigs came with our first show,” recalled Schneider. “Keith said, ‘Hey, you’ve got to see these things downtown.’ I went and looked and they were fun fur pocketbooks that you could put on your head, so we got the girls to get them and they wore those on the first show.”

Classic

In February 1967, Je Beck needed a helping hand with the rock ’n’ roll band he had formed after leaving The Yardbirds, and found struggling, raspy-voiced singer Rod Stewart. By the summer of 1968, The Je Beck Group had triumphantly toured the U.S., and Stewart was a star on both sides of the Atlantic. This month, Stewart returned to Las Vegas for the fi rst time since Beck’s untimely passing, and in the wake of the two old mates’ version of “People Get Ready” being chosen as part of the o cial King’s Coronation playlist.

Sir Rod Stewart played the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert in June, delivering rousing versions of “Baby Jane” and Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” to the distinguished guests at Buckingham Palace. Had Beck not suddenly passed,

Stewart might have been able to perform The Impressions classic for King Charles in person, but he’s performed “People Get Ready” at shows in Australia earlier this year, and the song is likely to be included often on setlists throughout the rest of his busy 2023 concert schedule.

Stewart does not have a song flow so tied to stage production that he can’t mix things up, but he’s been consistent about the cover that kicks o concerts. A year ago, fans at a Rod Stewart: The Hits performance at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace were the fi rst to hear him open a show with a cover of Robert Palmer’s “Addicted to Love.” That ’80s classic went over well enough to earn placement on Stewart’s setlists for the rest of the year as he toured North America before returning to Vegas in September.

36 | 5.7.23 Las Vegas Magazine
songs and tasteful covers are in Rod Stewart’s heart and soul at The Colosseum

He’s been following up “Addicted to Love” with early solo hit “You Wear It Well” and Faces classic (written by buddy Ron Wood) “Ooh La La,” both of which had long been part of his Vegas residency repertoire. Anyone who attended a Caesars show in the last year also had the pleasant surprise of hearing Stewart belt out Patti LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade,” while his version of The Sutherland Brothers’ “Sailing” has been a live staple since Stewart toured in support of 1976 album Atlantic Crossing, and a preferred concert closer.

Stewart is famous for covering Sam Cooke and Van Morrison, less well known perhaps for his rendition of “Cigarettes & Alcohol” by Oasis. He’s sang “Layla” and “Leather and Lace” live. It seems as if he’s game to apply his voice to any song that suits his footloose and fancy-free tastes.

With the Royal Albert Hall hosting the two-night, all-star A Tribute to Je Beck concert following Stewart’s latest round of Caesars Palace dates, Rod the Mod has a chance to brush up on songs from the two classic albums he and Wood recorded with Beck, Truth and Beck-Ola

He’s announced that he plans to play selections from those albums at the tribute, so it’s possible Vegas audiences may witness Stewart perform Beck’s arrangements of “I Ain’t Superstitious” or “Rock My Plimsoul” for the fi rst time in years.

That Zen Feeling

Home in The Ridges is a contemporary masterpiece

Las Vegas is home to many luxurious masterplanned communities, ones that offer the highest-quality homes, amenities and spectacular views of the valley and its surroundings. (One thing you quickly learn about buying homes here: Views come at a premium, and are well worth it.)

One of the best examples of these is The Ridges in Summerlin, a guard-gated, masterplanned community in close proximity to Red Rock Conservation Area. And a property has recently become available there, one that offers not only a prime location but a stunning exterior and interior. If impressing

company is your goal, well ... mission accomplished.

This magnificent custom home, listed by Ivan Sher of IS LUXURY, features four bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a four-car garage across 8,244 square feet. Its contemporary design by Eric Strain at Assemblage Studio successfully blurs the line

between indoors and outdoors. Its structure blends in with the natural landscape in a way you’ve never seen before.

Everything about this home screams attention to detail, from the pristine, symmetrical landscaping that beckons you in, to the open, airy interior’s abundance of natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. Everywhere you look, you’ll find something eye-pleasing, from the beautiful stone floors and grand foyer to the immense chandelier hanging from the high ceilings. The

small touches, including marble, granite and natural stone, are used to superb effect here.

Entertaining here is going to be a snap, thanks to a chef’s kitchen featuring top-of-the-line appliances, custom countertops and island, connected to a great room. The bedrooms here are all practically works of art that carry through the “nature meets modern” concept, from textured stone walls and custom closets to unique, built-in features. The primary bathroom feels like a Zen garden with its replication of an

outdoor meditation conservatory. The backyard is simply sublime. A rooftop sun deck with a fire pit and custom bar looks over an infinity pool, and the scenery from both is spectacular. There are small pockets of courtyards scattered throughout, and the overall effect is one of relaxation and contemplation. Welcome to your own private oasis in the desert. –
