FRESHMAN MOVE-IN

• We will have student volunteers and staff to help move in incoming students • Students will receive their move-in times in early August – it will be emailed and posted on housing.gmu.edu • Move-in times are staggered • Mason Shuttles will be available to take people from parking lots to residence halls


What to bring… • Room personalization items • XL sheets and comforter, pillows, mattress pad • Single-use coffee maker (i.e. Keurig) • Refrigerator (Energy Star, 4.3 cubic feet or smaller) • Microwave (700 watts max) • UL approved lights and UL approved surge protectors with on/off switch • Bed risers (no outlets)

Room Selection Remind your student to check their email- A detailed letter will be sent the week of July 9 th 1. Instructions on how to select their space 2. Instructions on how to pull in a roommate 3. The date and time of selection Do not forget to select a space! Your student will receive an email confirmation after they successfully select. Be on the lookout for the complete bill (which includes room and meal plan charges) the week of July 25 th.
