One of beneÀts included in Congress’s recent tax cut extension is a carry-over of some of the “green home” tax credits that were so popular in 2010. Different products have their own spending cap. For example, you can claim up to $200 on energy efÀcient windows and $300 on a new water heater, while insulation has no cap. Also, these credits only apply to improvements done on your primary residence. Even though you won’t get the same deal as last year, every bit does help.
