The GNLC Health Policy Scholarships The Georgia Nursing Leadership Coalition (GNLC) is pleased to accept applications for the third annual GNLC Health Policy Scholarships. These scholarships will give $1,500 to each of three students currently enrolled in a doctoral program in nursing (PhD, DNS, EdD, DNP) in a Georgia school. We will send three students to Health Policy Conference. Application deadline is midnight, Sunday, October 9, 2016. The GNLC will select and notify the award recipient by October 31, 2016. To be eligible for the award: 1) Student must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at a school in Georgia, and have a GPA of at least 3.0 The following are the schools with doctoral programs in nursing in Georgia: Augusta University Brenau University Emory University/Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Georgia College & State University Georgia State University Georgia Southern University Kennesaw State University Mercer University/Georgia Baptist School of Nursing University of West Georgia 2) Student must hold a current, valid nursing license in Georgia 3) Student must write an essay (250-400 words) describing his/her interest in health policy. Please include any relevant experiences and future plans for involvement in health policy. 4) Student must submit one letter of recommendation from someone who can address the student’s interest in health policy 5) The GNLC expects the scholarship recipient to commit to attend the Doctoral Symposium in 2016.
