What is Go Dharmic? Go Dharmic is an international humanitarian movement for mobilising compassionate action. Inspired by Dharma, our innate duty and responsibility towards removing suffering for ourselves, for our Earth and all living beings. Never has there been a more important time for Go Dharmic communities to stand up and take action. We have local groups across the world who come together to make a difference to those who need our help. Our message is love all, feed all, serve all. Realising our common humanity through recognition of our oneness. We are facing existential global threats to our Environment, so many are facing huge inequalities, poverty and injustice and we believe it vital to do everything in our power to campaign, and give voice to causes that matter. Even if we can help just one person we have made an impact on the Universe. In reality we can do so much more.

PRINCIPLES The foundations of a more dharmic world are these principles. They are weapons of goodness and are a driving force for all we do. ·1·
LOVE
Love is the most powerful force for good in our world. If we cultivate love within our hearts then we will naturally bring positive change into our societies. When we conduct our campaigns we do so with love for all. We do not discriminate between any community and promote love and universal acceptance. ·2·
NOT HARMING
The proclamation that ahimsa (non-harming) is the highest dharma is an ancient one. As a community we walk a path which causes as little harm as possible, treading lightly upon the Earth, caring for every living being. ·3·
COMPASSION
Feel the suffering of others as your own. Whether it is feeding the poor, volunteering during a disaster, it is
important to not see their suffering as different from our suffering. True compassion arises when we can be with them as one. ·4·
CHARITY
Charity means giving your time, talent and treasure to those who need it. We can open our hearts to ensure our help is effectively reaching the lesser fortunate members of our society. ·5·
SERVICE
The cultivation of selfless service and altruism are core to GD. We have thousands of volunteers who give up their personal time to serve others. As a service-based organisation we ask you to join us to make a difference by volunteering your time to help the needy by engaging in our various campaigns. ·6·
ters asks volunteers to write letters to leaders and influential people around the world to promote the understated value of Peace. ·7·
TRUTH
We want to be truthful to ourselves, our community, and our beneficiaries. As custodians of donations, it is our responsibility to ensure 100% of public money goes to the cause and that we ensure that the most vulnerable people we can find are served first. ·8·
FRIENDSHIP
Developing communities of like-minded people who want to make a difference will ensure GD will have a long-standing impact globally. We must also cultivate friendship with our beneficiaries and there should never be the feeling of giver and receiver but only of a friend helping a friend.
PEACE
Peace and universal brotherhood should be promoted by all at GD. We do not discriminate when helping others and work for the well-being of all. Our campaign, Peace Let-

Message from Hemal Randerwala
During this time of great uncertainty, I have been truly humbled by the outpouring of generosity and support from our community. Remarkable people, organizations, community groups, small businesses, and corporations have all stepped up to support us and our volunteers with not only financial donations but donations of meals, snacks, toiletries, clothes, vehicles, shops, and more. I appreciate your kind-heartedness and look forward to us doing so much more together in the future as we strengthen our collective service. Your support to people struggling against the effects of COVID-19 has reached the most vulnerable people in our societies. Go Dharmic volunteers have done some remarkable work in responding to this unprecedented global health crisis. I am honored to work with you who have given your hearts to help others. You have donated money, you have given your time, you have given so much love to help others and for this, I can never thank you enough. I founded Go Dharmic on the basis of universal love and compassion. I had in mind the ancient Indian idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakum, ‘the world is one family.’ Today, nine years later, thanks to your generosity and blessings, Go Dharmic has been able to express this love in many wonderful ways. Now in these unprecedented times, our work is even more important and the GD family is well-positioned to help us make a tremendous positive impact. This year, we will place a large focus on climate change by working hard to protect our environment, raising a loud voice for our planet which is crying out for our help. We will continue to work for a more equitable & fairer world through our social campaigns and continue to love all, serve all and feed all, giving a voice to those who want to serve and those who need our help. Dharma is the way of the heart, it is this ancient idea that is like a light for each of us to shine brightly in a difficult world. We thank you for Going Dharmic, for standing for dharma, which is love for all beings. Wishing you and your family lots of love and happiness,
Hemal Randerwala, Chairman & Founder, Go Dharmic

“Fulfilling the stomach of a needy person is one of the most joyous feelings you get to experience. Abrupt announcement of lockdown and no work to earn daily wages led many to suffer from hunger. Lot of people came forward to help them and we also did our bit. Supporting families by distributing ration kits and bringing a smile on their faces gives a deep sense of satisfaction that cannot be verbalized. Helping deprived families in Rajasthan by volunteering at Go Dharmic, India gave a sense of satisfaction like a little silver lining that I have done my little bit with more work to do.” —Dr Himani Sharma, AVP - HR & Operations (FF Jaipur) “During this critical condition, a lot of people are facing problems for their daily wages and food. When I personally saw their condition I felt very bad because no one came forward to help those people. At the point of time Go Dharmic came forward with a good initiative to help these kinds of poor people. Working as a volunteer, when I distributed ration kits to these people, I observed smiles on their faces when they were receiving their ration kits. At that point in time, I felt very happy. There are no words to describe happiness. I request Go Dharmic foundation to implement these kinds of good initiatives in the future also.” —Rajendra Babu (FF Hyderabad)

Shape a Future school as now it was fully facilitated with amenities for the use of children. A library was also set up to inculcate reading habits within the children. This increased the enrolment ratio in the school. After this, it occurred to Hemal that if one volunteer can make such a big difference how much of a difference can be made if there are more volunteers working with more such remote schools. He then contacted Deependra to set up and implement similar projects in several rural schools in India. Deependra started developing libraries in Madhya Pradesh starting from Guna, his hometown, and across Indore district.
It was the year 2016. Hemal Randerwala, the founder of Go Dharmic was on a journey to discover himself along with his family to a remote village in Guniyalekh, Uttarakhand. He decided to venture within the village and see the facilities available within rural India. He was astonished to see the plight of students in the local village school. The school children did not have proper amenities within their classrooms. Children still sat on the floor to study despite the challenging weather conditions. It moved him to an extent where he decided that he must put in his efforts to make a difference in the lives of these children. While he was relentlessly looking out for help, he was pleased to find that Prema Didi, a follower of Neem Karoli Baba, was willing to volunteer and spend time in the remote village to help the children. The model worked and the school children enjoyed coming to

Gradually, from two states, the project soared to several states within India, and also spread its wings across the border to Nepal. Within the next two years, Go Dharmic proudly boasts of having set up 74 libraries across India and Nepal, benefiting more than 67,000 children with the support of volunteers and our valued partners - Futures First, FICCI Flo, Future for Kids to name a few. The recent Impact Analysis Report infers that since the implementation of this project, students have started coming to school thereby increasing the enrolment ratio. This project has not only benefited the students’ enrolment but it has also helped inculcate reading habits among them. We truly believe that this act of compassion has truly made a difference in the lives of these students!

3 Million meals distributed globally
The pandemic proved to be a great threat to each of us on so many levels. While a lot of us were fighting against economic problems, health issues, and increased stress, there were millions of people who were stranded, out of work and worried about their very survival. In March 2020, Go Dharmic initiated a global Feed Everyone effort such that they will do everything in their capacity to deliver food to people in need during these difficult times. GD volunteers across the world were out on the streets providing homeless and vulnerable people with ration-kits, hot meals, sanitary products and other essentials. They were able to help people in major cities across the UK and India and also able to mobilise volunteer efforts in Nigeria, Morocco, Uganda and Kenya to distribute food kits. We also extended help by distributing relief care packages to families affected by the devastating explosions in Beirut, Lebanon in August 2020. As a result of this global effort we were able to serve over 3 million meals to people in need! This incredible number of meals distributed is all because of the constant support from our donors and volunteers and an undying urge to help people in need. If you would like to establish a Go Dharmic food distribution drive near you please email volunteer@godharmic.com or say Hi on the Go Dharmic app.
According to one of the reports from UNICEF, an average of 1 in 8 children in high-income countries faces food insecurity, rising to 1 in 5 in the United Kingdom and the United States, and to 1 in 3 in Mexico and Turkey.

GD App Launch
2020 was a year of digital connections and having to adapt. We all had to find new ways to communicate, raise money, and build our community. Hemal Randerwala always had a goal of launching an app for Go Dharmic members to communicate on and strengthen the values and work we are all doing. This June, the Go Dharmic app was born as a means to connect to more people and form our community where we all talk and take actions towards the causes that we work for. We are happy to say that in a span of 6 months, we have over 500 users on our app and growing quickly. We talk about various campaign updates, Inspirations, our distribution locations, volunteer stories and Go Dharmic’s work on our App. If you are someone who hasn’t been a part of our Go Dharmic App, we urge you to download it at the earliest and we ensure that it will be an engaging and beautiful experience to connect with our team and volunteers. Our App is available on Android Play Store and Apple App Store. See you there!

The Salt Ride 2020 Cycling for the Environment
90 years ago, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi led dozens of his followers on a 384km journey from Sabarmati ashram to Dandi, a small village on the Arabian sea, to protest the British law on tax. Leaning on a walking stick and dressed, as always, in modest homespun clothes, Gandhi hoped to bring the world’s attention to the growing Indian independence movement by highlighting the injustice by Britain’s colonial salt laws, which forbid Indians from producing or selling their own homegrown salt and taxed them 4000%.
With regards to this epic movement, we tried to inherit the legacy with a tiny variation. Our first ever Go Dharmic Salt Ride was marked in 2019, the Mahatma’s 150th birth anniversary, wherein a group of over 25 volunteers from around the world cycled the same route that Gandhi walked, to launch a campaign to plant 1 million trees called “Give It A Grow” and supported the developments of libraries in India. In the second edition of Salt Ride, things were different. Unlike 2019’s Salt ride where the cyclists cycled 400 km from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, this year we went virtual.
The Virtual Salt Ride 2020 aimed at giving the participants a chance to get fit and to explore their city at their time. More than 90 cyclists from around the world took up the challenge to cycle a distance of 100, 200, or 400 km in the month of December. A collective distance of over 17,000 km was covered by the cyclists not only helping them get fit but also reducing the carbon footprint and making the Earth a better place to live in. A group of five GD volunteers also cycled the Dandi route from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi for 384 kms between 3rd December - 5th December 2020 which was also covered extensively by local media. “Every pedal we did was a pedal along the lines of history and experience that filled me up with joy and the urge to know more about India and of the struggle that Indian freedom fighters have been through. It’s altogether a different experience. Happy to be cycling for a cause” Sahil Jackson (Participant Salt Ride 2020)
This movement also known as the Dandi March or the Salt Satyagraha, began on the 12th March 1930, near Gandhi’s home, Sabarmati ashram, and proceeded 384km south from Ahmedabad to Dandi. The journey went over 24 days towards the coastal village of Dandi, where a crowd of thousands watched as Gandhi and his followers deliberately broke the law by evaporating seawater to make their own salt.
“Cycling for charity gets a new meaning when it’s for an amazing organization like Go Dharmic
We shall be organising the Salt Ride again in December 2021 where anyone in the world can take up the challenge, get fit, and raise funds for social causes. 22

GOOD KARMA STORE Go Dharmic’s First Charity shop
The “Good Karma Store” concept is a simple and useful initiative that appears to have gone viral around the world for all the best reasons! We launched our first Good Karma store in Slough in October 2020. The amount of love and support we received for our first launch of the store is incredible. We are highly grateful to everyone who helped us put that up. The concept of Good Karma Store is based on this realisation that if people learn to reuse and upscale fashion, it can be more sustainable and help many underprivileged.
Some of the items on our store cost around £600 for the new piece in the UK. The whole idea of the store is to monetise these dormant high value items for great causes and promote sustainable shopping. We have had some great items donated by amazing designers such as Manish Malhotra Ritu Kumar Tarun Tahiliani Masaba Gupta Manish Arora And so many more.
SHARE YOUR VISIT EXPERIENCE We would love to see some pictures of you donating or purchasing items from us, please share your overall experience of the visit by tagging us on social media. We’d love to share them. We are extremely delighted to announce that we are coming up with TWO more Good Karma Stores in Northampton and Hampstead High street, London. “My daughter would regularly ask me why I wasn’t wearing certain clothes that I had hidden in the bottom of her bed. And aside from the fact that they didn’t fit, they were my wedding outfits! They held such sentimental value, so many happy memories so I couldn’t bear to get rid of them. But then I saw the Good Karma shop opened, right here on my doorstep. By donating these clothes that are so dear to me, not only could I ensure they could continue giving somebody else happiness; potentially someone that may not be able to spend a lot on their wedding, ensure they don’t become a burden on the environment and at the same time raise money for such a worthy cause.” —Tejal Gorasia

was affected by the Coronavirus lockdown as the need for our services significantly increased.
Go Dharmic started in Luton nine years ago with an idea of ‘Love all, Feed all’. We aim to make the town hunger-free by distributing free meals to the homeless and poor families. Our ‘Feed Everyone’ campaign is running for many years now with volunteers distributing hundreds of free meals to anyone in need every week. Over the years we have also established a dedicated community of volunteers in Luton who carry out the feeding campaigns oindependently.
Our main focus was on the elderly as they were at the highest risk of contracting the virus and their outdoor movement had to be restricted. We started with delivering doorstep cooked meals to these elderly for free. To receive our meals, we also started a phone line on which the elderly could call and register themselves to receive daily cooked meals. We started with just 8 meals going out in the first week of our doorstep distributions in March, but five months later, we had delivered thousands of free meals to the elderly of Luton with the help of a fantastic team of volunteers.
Then came the Coronavirus pandemic which caused a setback to our regular activities for the locals. But as they say, every calamity comes with an opportunity, we decided to help anyone and everyone in Luton who
When the lockdown started, many institutions like shelters, care homes, hostels, etc. were ordered by the government to take in the people living on the streets
“We want our children to learn to be ambitious, to set themselves targets and goals to where they want to go in life. We want them to achieve the very best they can. And most importantly believe in themselves, so that they can achieve anything.” —Catherine Barr, CEO, The Shared Learning Trust

Khurshid, Deputy Mayor of Luton and Catherine Barr, CEO of The Shared Learning Trust, we were able to establish community links and develop a plan for the future, ensuring that Luton is on its way to becoming a ‘Zero Hunger’ city. Thank you to all our speakers on the webinar, including Hemal Randerwala, founder of Go Dharmic, and Trupti Parekh, Go Dharmic volunteer. to contain the spread of the virus. This led to the institutions to be overwhelmed and they started facing shortages of food. We decided to help these institutions and delivered free meals to them daily for the five months of lockdown. Over 25 of such institutions in Luton received meals from us. We also received many requests from the foreign students studying at the University of Bedfordshire as they were facing a lot of difficulties to sustain themselves during the lockdown. We decided to help these students out by providing them with food kits which would help them with meals for at least 10-15 days. We conducted regular distributions for the students and now many of them volunteer for us. Many teachers from schools of Luton like Stockwood Park Academy, Whipperley Infant Academy, Ferrars infant school, St Martin de Porres academy and so on also reached out to us as many of the families of their students were finding it difficult to feed the children. So in collaboration with The Shared Learning Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust consisting of 5 schools across Luton and Bedfordshire, we set out to provide meal kits, essential items, and clothing to families in need. With volunteers from the schools and support from Go Dharmic, along with local charities and businesses, we delivered thousands of meal kits to over 1800 families from the end of March to just before Christmas.
We look forward to continuing to support the people of Luton who need our support and achieve our target of making the town hunger-free. We thank all the volunteers and food partners for all the help so far.
According to the State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World, About 83 million people and possibly as many as 132 million people will go hungry in 2020 due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and the recession triggered by it. Three billion people globally were unable to afford a healthy diet, the report said. In sub-Saharan Africa and southern Asia, this was the case for 57 per cent of the population, according to the report.
Each week, we saw the call for help from these families increase and coupled with the ever-rising cost of living and the extended furlough scheme, the queues at our food distribution centre became longer and longer. We felt we needed to spread the word and raise awareness of the project and so on 17th November 2020, we hosted a ‘Hunger-Free Luton’ webinar and invited local organisations, teachers and stakeholders to come together to discuss how we can endeavour to overcome food poverty in our community. Our children are our future. It is important that nothing comes in the way of their education. With a lot of crises happening during the Half-term in October, we wanted to ensure that our kids do not suffer during the holidays. The webinar was a great success, and many joined offering their support. With guest speakers such as Cllr

Expanding horizons in Glasgow, Scotland boxes to the children as well as special Christmas lollies and fudge for the Christmas parties hosted by the school.
Martin, our lead in Glasgow said:
We started Go Dharmic Glasgow in May 2020 with the help of the organisation Caring for Carers. It did not take long for this to become a major base for us in the UK, we have a large office and a team of over 30 dedicated volunteers working round the clock to Love All, Feed All, Serve All. It started with distributing meals to the homeless from 1 small table, distributing around 40 meals each week. This has evolved into a much bigger distribution helping more people with upwards of 600 meals given out alongside warm clothes, toiletries and a signposting service to help people out of homelessness and get the right help for those recently housed. At the start of the school year in August 2020 we launched our distributions to families of 2 primary schools and a nursery in Govan; Riverside & St Saviour’s Primaries and Broomloan Nursery. We work closely with the school to distribute around 100 food parcels to the families, fresh fruit and vegetables every week as well as other staples such as eggs, bread and chilled items. Over the Christmas period we gave over 350 selection

“The impact Go Dharmic is having on the lives of the most vulnerable in Glasgow is immense. I am so proud we have distributed more than 65,000 meals to the homeless, needy families and NHS staff. Much more can still be done. If you have time, resources or the will to help others in our community, get involved to help make Glasgow hunger-free. Please feel free to email me on martin@godharmic.com” We are all looking forward to 2021 with plans to increase our distributions, purchase a GD van and strengthen our foothold across other parts of Scotland.

It was a while ago in the middle of pandemic a group of friends having a virtual chat about am entirely different matter and somebody commented and said despite all the problems in the world there is always somebody worse of then you. That was the defining moment for us and we decided to get organised and raise some funds and reach people who are in need. There are 10 of us and all came together to raise funds and offer help wherever we could. In our pursuit of activity, we discovered GODHARMIC and the wonderful work they do. We decided that they are the champions and we must work together and all pull together so for now we raise funds and support meals for needy.

TALKS ON DHARMA, MODERN SLAVERY AND BLACK LIVES MATTER
The GD Christmas Fundraiser Social injustice has prevailed for years around the world. With each passing day, the human race tries to overcome it through one or the other ways.
racism. We had Michael Holding, former cricketer and recipient of the Freedom of London Award for our Fundraiser to share his thoughts on this matter.
We organised our Fundraiser for 2020 around Christmas to speak on various social issues and how we all can be a part of change for those issues.
Modern Slavery - A form of slavery that has been existing since years but still manages to get out from the sight of people, is a grave problem which needs immediate attention. The exploitation of people in this form has violated many of the basic human rights.
Our session was focused on Dharma, Modern Day Slavery and Racism. We had incredible guests to talk about these issues.. Our speakers were 1. MICHAEL HOLDING, Former West Indies cricketer and prominent voice for the Black lives matter movement 2. ROY HEMMINGS, Musician, The Drifters 3. DEVON MALCOLM, Former England cricketer and GD sports ambassador 4. CAROLINE HAUGHEY QC, Barrister, A leading expert on human trafficking and Modern Slavery in the UK With George Floyd’s killing in the USA in May 2020, the injustice caused to people because of racism took a historic turn. The movement #blacklivesmatter shook the world and led people to consciously act towards the social problem of

“We need to have more respect for our fellowmen. We have to acknowledge that we all have the same rights. The difficult thing is what is acceptable in one culture, is not acceptable in another. Something that Go Dharmic is doing, is being the ripple of change and the ripple of hope.” - Caroline Haughey QC
Compassion in action — Issue 1
Our guest Caroline Haughey QC, with her immense knowledge on this subject gave us an opportunity to know about methods and ways which can commonly be used and recognized as steps towards curbing slavery. Her insights were really powerful and simple. The basic help can start with a simple question like, “Are you okay?” Help can start with simple questions and by listening to people. Such questions lead to conversation and hence can act as a means to know if someone is being victimized. This insightful discussion was held on 17th December 2020, on an online platform with over 200 people joining us. We are grateful for the opportunity to speak with such determined and dedicated personalities and know their thoughts. We are highly thankful to everyone who was a part of this fundraiser and helped us with their time and donations. Thank you for believing in us and the work we do.

“Team Sports in particular can go a long way in the development of youngsters. When you are playing a team sport, you have to rely on the other people in your team and that then broadens your horizon, in thinking more about other people instead of thinking about yourself. As you go through life, the more you have a team environment, the better it is for you for your development. I think this is what the world should be about- The people helping each other. Whether you are white or black, once you are a human being, you should be seen as a human being willing to help each other.” - Michael Holding

Fundraising for Go Dharmic Many wonderful people have raised much needed funds for Go Dharmic in memory of loved ones, donating on their birthdays and much more... This year was indeed a challenging one. There were many unanticipated instances. The Go Dharmic family, however, with the continuous support of it’s generous and remarkable donors, was able to make an impact on the lives of the vulnerable through fundraising initiatives. Our supporters managed to raise funds for meals distribution for vulnerable people. Many of them also fundraised in memory of their loved ones who passed away this year. This was made possible using the JustGiving page of Go Dharmic.
“The Late Mr Ram Parkash Doal was a man you could rely on in any situation. He was so kind and generous and would ALWAYS feed those in need, here in the UK and on any holidays abroad, especially India. This is the biggest reason we chose to partner with Go Dharmic in his memory, because they share the same simple goal Love all, feed all, serve all. Go Dharmic’s vision is clear. We see where the money is being used and the active ‘distribution’ of food is what we as a family greatly believe in as ‘Seva’. Our values align with the organisation, which is a force for good and a great inspiration to us all. In our efforts to raise money for the emergency Coronavirus appeal, we have really opened our eyes to all the good we can do everyday through small acts of kindness. Go Dharmic is not just a charity, it is a community and a way of life. It is a great way to bring friends, family and communities together to make a positive impact on the world. We chose this great organisation to help us fundraise in Memory of our Ram because we knew that continuing his efforts to help those in need was so important to enable us to continue his legacy. Go Dharmic shares a great vision and value that Ram always had, which was to ensure no person goes without one of life’s greatest and basic needs - food. Ram always wanted to change the world, one good deed at a time and we couldn’t think of a better organisation to partner with.” Puja Doal Daughter of Late Ram Doal

Hearts as wide as the world
In 2019, Barry Goudriaan scaled the heights of Mount Everest and ran an unbelievable marathon taking the GD flag to the top of the world. He raised money to help our Shape a Future campaign and help establish more libraries for underprivileged children and organised a successful charity dinner called Sport for Good. Barry’s kind-hearted efforts have brought visibility to GD to so many new people and many accomplished individuals who have helped GD over the past year. His next plan with GD is to promote our environmental efforts and he will be doing a marathon across the Arctic to highlight climate change. This is an incredible individual effort but it is all happening with a heart as wide as the world. We need more people like Barry to help raise funds for great causes and to highlight issues the world is facing. These incredible individual achievements stand out for that difficulty but they also stand out because they are completed for helping others.
Following the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, Nitin Sonawane is on a mission to spread love and compassion throughout the world and is walking around the planet. Without significant funds and without staying in any planned hotels, Nitin walks and relies on the love and compassion of others to find his way across the globe. Nitin has been raising money for Go Dharmic causes especially for our Feed Everyone campaign and has helped feed vulnerable people across Maharashtra, India who have been struggling during the pandemic, especially the daily wage workers who have been hit hard as they lost their jobs and have no way of earning. Nitin has so far walked 10,000 km and cycled over 2000 km across 42 countries and spent much time with the Go Dharmic community in London this year. He is currently in Albania and is due to finish his tremendous pilgrimage in Pakistan next year.
“I am lucky to connect with GO Dharmic, thanks to Tushar Gandhi for connecting me with Hemal. On the 2nd October 2020 Go Dharmic Organised program in London to celebrate 150th birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, it was a great opportunity for me to share my peace journey experiences. Go Dharmic team is working so hard, in London I joined as a volunteer to feed homeless people with love. Selfless Service to humanity is the core idea of Go Dharmic which is so important to make different and bring peace. I am thankful to be part of the family of Go Dharmic.” Nitin Sonawane

Throughout the pandemic, hundreds of individuals came forward to help Go Dharmic across the UK to drive meals to vulnerable elderly people who were struggling to receive a good hot meal. Many of these elderly people were isolated and shielded due to the risk of COVID-19 and often the drivers who delivered the meals were the only people they saw in a day. These kind-hearted drivers delivered the meals every day, spending hours throughout the pandemic dropping meals to people and although Go Dharmic offered to cover the cost of petrol, not a single driver claimed any money and covered the costs out of the goodness of their hearts. This remarkable service in 2020 has been a shining light of Go Dharmic’s work and highlights the power of compassion. There are too many drivers, volunteers, and individuals to name here but each person who has helped is a wonderful example to us all.

Celebrating 10 years of Go Dharmic We are excited to share that Go Dharmic will celebrate a decade of service in the year 2021! We are deeply grateful for the support we have received over the years to keep up the work that we do. It was possible only because of constant support from our donors, volunteers and members in the field that we have been able to deliver help to those in need. We have continued to learn and grow, and launch initiatives to be embodiments of service wherever possible. In our tenth year, we will be dedicating major effort towards environmental actions and doing everything in our power to make a difference in the lead up to the Glasgow Climate Conference.
Developing 900 libraries across India with Vedanta A project that will directly benefit more than 600,000 underprivileged children A massive project that will directly benefit more than 600,000 underprivileged children in Rajasthan, Go Dharmic aims to develop 900 libraries in India in 2021. The project focuses on delivering quality learning spaces to underprivileged children, especially girls. The campaign looks to provide education facilities for communities who have not received the support they so richly deserve. Go Dharmic’s method of helping communities through provision of libraries reflects the vision of education being the best means of helping people in the long term. Our Shape a Future campaign focuses on developing libraries, providing sports equipment, quality books and games for children to grow in confidence, happiness and improve their prospects.

We will continue to strengthen and align our work with the 17 goals of the SDGs and raise our ambition to create a more loving compassionate world. Go Dharmic plans to attend the UN Climate Change Conference due to take place in Glasgow in early November 2021. In order to showcase the urgent need to focus on climate change globally, we aim to launch major campaigns along with enhancing our existing campaigns that are designed for Climate Action. Our Environment campaigns will include: GO GREEN • Go Plant-based • Go Organic • Give it a Grow

MARIA LOVELL Mayor of Luton I know this forced holiday could be stressful but let’s see the positive side. At least we have a roof over our heads, we have food to eat which is not the case with many people. Recently, I came across GoDharmic, who have been working day and night. Their goal in India is to feed 1 million people, like the migrant workers, the police officers who haven’t seen their families in days. I am joining this endeavour to help them reach their goal.
SHIRISH SARAF Founder and Vice Chairman, Samena Capital We are trying to mobilize an effort to really feed many of the workers. Just as corona, for everyone they say infected person, there are at least a hundred people that get infected. If we think in a similar exponential way, for every one person that can afford a meal, if we can actually feed 100 mouths at the same time, every single day till this situation gets sorted in some way. So, please contribute with your food, your rations or money if you can. My friend Hemal has been running a very fantastic effort through the Go Dharmic Foundation, in which he has many volunteers across in the UK, India and I commend for his sincerity and drive towards a very good cause and something so close to our heart.
