Landscape art is the depiction in art of landscapes, natural scenery such as mountains, valleys, trees, rivers, and forests, and especially art where the main subject is a wide view, with its elements arranged into a coherent composition. In other works landscape backgrounds for figures can still form an important part of the work. Sky is almost always included in the view, and weather is often an element of the composition. Detailed landscapes as a distinct subject are not found in all artistic traditions, and develop when there is already a sophisticated tradition of representing other subjects. I am an aware, concerned and involved human being of the society. My subject matter comes from my Himachal Pradesh visit. My work has a colourful sky always and I always trying to give it a painting form not as scenery. My paintings have layers n my paintings imbibe Indian cultural identity and global culture identity. I want to make identity of my and the beauty of this beautiful world by my work but there is many Collecting Clouds-1 & 2, Acrylic on canvas, 48 in X 36 in,

Rainbows in Clouds Clouds come floating to the youthful sky of the life of Anjum Khan, bringing gentle breeze, drops of rain and sometimes a silver lining too. The talent of the young painter lies in the fact that she is able to collect the clouds one by one on the canvas with passion. For the painter, clouds are the harbinger of rainbows. Why not? Isn't it said that God, call it Nature if you so like, places rainbows in clouds so that even in the darkest of times colours of hope are not lost. Of course, in the Indian sub-continent that has nurtured the artist the darker the clouds the more plentiful the rain, the richer the harvest and more vivid the rainbows. The hues in Anjum's palette are vibrant indeed, glowing as though freshly washed with rain and polished by a ray of sunlight. She likes bright colours that will not fade even if washed threadbare yet she blends them exceedingly well and the outcome is there to be seen in mouth-watering studies of fruits. This feel for colour is extended to her larger compositions of landscapes and figurative art. The feminine form attracts her rush and she lives youthful dreams through them. In many of her paintings women are found in togetherness in the long tradition of female bonding that has perhaps been the mode of survival against grave odds. Girls gather on her canvas sharing moments of leisure or nurturing and grooming one another as in the eloquent 'shringar' threesome tending tresses in a row. At other times they are just standing or sitting side by side facing the world that is opening out before them like a cinema reel. An interesting part of her first solo show, are heads of women who like go solo but with glasses shielding their eyes. The painter seems to have had a playful time creating dark glasses of different shapes and sizes. This tinted barrier between the gaze and the big bad world acts both as a shield and as a mask. Once one has gazed at all the paintings on display, one wants to see more and also wonder what the artist will paint next. A journey has been well begun as the artist makes a debut with the promise of creativity.
