“O
ur vision for Mt. St. Mary’s Namagunga is to nurture young ladies who are academically excellent and morally upright, so that they can influence society for the good of our nation. To achieve this, we are following our motto “Per Scientiam Ad Virtutem” meaning “Through Knowledge to Virtue…” We are creating a culture in our school where they will love to study hard, be God fearing, and will have a heart for the community. With these principles well ingrained in them, the sky is the limit for our students.”

“Mt.
St. Mary’s Namagunga recently celebrated 75 years of academic excellence, and we have embarked on a strategic plan to overhaul the amenities of the institution.
“The Teaching Girl Child
The plan is very ambitious and will enhance the school significantly and requires all our stakeholders; be they parents, old girls, the church, staff, or students to hold hands and work together to succeed! At Namagunga, we use a holistic approach towards teaching the girl child; focussing not just on academics but also on enhancing infrastructure.
Susan Kanyemibwa
The way students enter the school isn’t the way they leave. They leave with more confidence, more competitiveness, more ethics, and more values!”

"Our
strength in Mt. St. Mary's Namagunga is the high level of discipline from both the staff and the students...
In Namagunga; hardwork, discipline, and prayer are very important. It's critical to realize that without God you can do nothing. I'd like to thank God for the gift of Namagunga and the strength that he has given us to keep the school at the highest level all of these years. I would also like to greatly appreciate the teachers and students for their commitment and hard work..."

lumni are the school… Namagunga has been in existence for 76 years and during all that time thousands of ladies have passed through the school and without them we wouldn’t have what we have today...
“In
Existence For 76 Years
Alumni are the pride and the identity of Namagunga… They are the ladies who make the name of the school. The name that originates from all the girls who did great things and bit by bit came up with what Mount Saint Mary’s Namagunga has become. I’m most proud of Namagunga, because we are the BEST! I say this strongly because when I look around, the products that come from Namagunga are excellent and this excellence is derived from our urge to be good at what we do.”

T
his is the youngest club in the school and it was launched on 24th June 2018 by Msgr. Dr. Richard Kayondo on the 76th anniversary of Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga. The idea to start the club was initiated by the Senior six class of 2018 and supported by the class teachers, Mr. Ejanu Patrick Francis and Ms. Nambuku Florence.
The purpose of this club is to help raise school fees for the less privileged students as well as holding the belief that by engaging students in various charitable activities, the entire school will be able to share collective joy with many families. “Many hearts. One Vision. One Namagunga. “

At O-level every student offers Literature in English;
this encourages the student to develop and maintain the habit of reading for pleasure thus promoting fluency in reading. Acquisition of reading skills is important because it helps one keep abreast with current affairs and information that is needed in all fields of life. Over the years the students are not as interested in the traditional professional courses (medicine, law, engineering and teaching) as before but more interested in business courses. Career guidance is important because it assists students in becoming responsible adults who can develop realistic and fulfilling life plans based on clear understanding of themselves their needs, interests, and skills. Speech M y

s you can see, eehhm! The word ‘Awesome’ is crossed out. It’s no mistake! Infact, my life is a mistake! (Probably). I thought I’d be the only kid in my family (BUT !!!)….along came a brother, an annoying little pest to steal my spotlight and that wasn’t all he brought i.e enforcements.
“I’m going to be a pro, a champ, the fighter, 96
Huh! It was sas and also a “mistake” now…. These little radishes turned out to be the most magical phenomenon in my life …hehe. My besties, +1’s, my little hommies, good times! They were always there for me. Anywho ….I’d spend the whole day talking about my life, days and turkeys but, this story is about my “awesome” speech.
A w e s o m e
Technically, I’ve always been aweful at speeches, letter writing and all the other poetry involving doodad. I’d shy away infront of audiences, heh! In plays, it was worse! My voice would drown away and my limbs stiffen up! If you think that’s bad, you should have seen my classroom articles… nasty! This time, no jokes! I’ll put my brain to the task, rake it up and down and wear those brain gear. I’ve never been the best though my parents want me to be a leader….(sigh). I’m going to be a pro, a champ, the fighter, no goofing or slacking off this time. Think it’s a joke? You’re listening? Watch me! I’m going to rise and be the best.
Sure it sounds ridiculous that I want to be a senior rap artist. Everyone’s got dreams you know! Anyway that’s not the case. Does it sound dumb that everytime, I give an inspirational speech or the good advice once in a few months? Maybe! Now get this, I’m on my way to write….

100 DAYS
154
I
magine 100 days, 100 days of pain & suffering, Of heartbreak & heartache, Little girls & boys crying. Why? Because maybe they are hungry, Or maybe their parents have been killed. 100 days of trauma & insecurity, Children witnessing their parents’ murders, Mothers, of their husbands’ and children, Running, running & running, On the run from their own people, The people they said ‘hey’ to all the time. They seek solace in God’s house, Grieving & mourning the death of their loved ones, Memories, so many memories, good and bad. But then the pastors came in, Growing tired of helping & feeding them. These days are the days, That made Rwanda strong today. Caused by divisions, These days left people dead, weary & full of hatred. But you see, the hate actually did fade, And now the people of Rwanda are one, Time did stitch the wounds & mend broken hearts. So wherever you are, this teaches us to…… Just give it time.

“
Question of My Heart I just can’t tell, I don’t see Is it you or don’t I believe, Your name is scratched on my heart, But it fades away when I think too much.
Q
Every scratch and bruise down with my moods, Should I attach your petal on a flower to my bouqet, Or break it off my tree branch. The heartache is burning too deep. The question in my head is whether we can be, Whether we can start a world and stop a legacy,
168
Print a mark and wipe away a tear. Maybe you’re the only answer to my scars, The one to break through my cage. But it just may be the opposite, Who knows if you won’t break me apart? You could be the one to drag my tears, And showcase my past imperfections, To those who care about me most And tear the bond drawn between us. It’s just once ; Give what I need and I’ll put a full stop on it.
Maybe you’re the only answer to my scars, p R I S C I L L A s . 2

The Digital YearBook Do you ever look back to a point in time, to a particular experience, an event, or a memorable incident and wished that you had a camera to capture that moment? Have you ever had some of your most precious photos lost or damaged because your computer crashed, the phone was misplaced, or worse it was stolen? A lot of these moments are “once in a lifetime” occurrences, some of them from your school days and many of the people you meet along the way may never cross paths with you again… Have you ever asked yourself; how you can capture special moments and safeguard them for generations to come…? Well, the great news is that “The Digital YearBook” is passionate and committed to capturing and preserving, and sharing those special moments… From nursery to university, we will be with you every step of the way to help you capture, save memories, and in the future to share nostalgia from those magical moments along your academic journey…
Visit our site on www.thedigitalyearbook.com for more information, or send us an email to info@thedigitalyearbook.com if you’d like your institution to be archived on The Digital YearBook!
