What do I like most this time of the year? Some of you know that I am a big baseball fan. Doesn’t matter what team because I have my favorite players I root for. I even work a few days a week during spring training at Salt River Fields selling tickets. It’s a fun job and I get to watch some of the games too! This year our baseball season is in jeopardy due to stalled contract negotiations. Here’s hoping things get settled by mid February.

In the meantime, we have lots of AZPCA events on the calendar. Be sure to check them out and go to our web calendar for all the latest information and links to register on MotorsportReg. Events fill up quickly, so don’t forget to sign up/register for the events.

This month the winner for the Writer’s Monthly Award for Going Places is Rich Andrade for contributing “The EURO-928-2002 Meeting - Part 1.” Rich will receive a $30. credit on MotorsportReg, which is good for one year to use on any AZPCA activity. I appreciate the articles and pictures that members send me because without them there would be no newsletter.

Now here comes my pitch... I’m still looking for someone to be my assistant editor for Going Places. If you have a few hours a month and would like to proof read the issue before it gets finalized or like to work in Adobe Photoshop to enhance photos or work on the newsletter layout in Adobe InDesign, please contact me at: amanente42@gmail.com.
