This month (November), there will be two separate autocross events. On Friday, November 11, 2022, Veterans Day Holiday, AZPCA Region will hold an autocross event on a portion of the AMP Road Race Course. This event will be held with strict adherence to the PCA Autocross Safety Guidelines whereas, the course will be coned to keep the speed within those safety guidelines. As of this writing, the course design layout details and event format are still being finalized. However, the drivers will receive an email prior to the event outlining the event details.

The following day, Saturday, November 12, 2022, will be a regular autocross event held on the AMP skidpad. Each event will require separate registrations. You can sign up just for one event of your choice or both events with your Motorsportreg.com (MSR) account.

Please don’t hesitate to sign up for either or both events. If you wait to sign up just prior to the event, you may end up being placed on the waitlist and missing out on “Two Days Of Awesome” autocrossing, AZPCA Region style. AZPCA Region Autocross events are open to non-PCA members as “Guests”, and they may enter a non-Porsche car. The non-Porsche car will be placed in the Group “X” classification and run with other Group “P” & “X” cars. The guests must register for the events by logging onto their respective motorsportreg.com account and complete the entry along with the PCA Event Release of Liability (Speedwaiver) and the AMP Facility Waivers prior to the event. All guest vehicles will be required to pass the safety and sound tech inspections prior to entering the course. So, tell your autocross friends that they can come out and play with us. They can bring their own autocross car or co-drive with you. Also, tell your friends that lunch is provided by the region for all drivers and the “Taste of Autocross” entries.

Additionally, if a two-door Porsche is not the practicable Porsche for meeting your current family needs and a four door Porsche such as, the Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, and Taycan, is the family’s Porsche of choice, please don’t feel that these great four door Porsches are not welcome at the AZPCA Region autocross events, they are welcome. In the past, several members have enjoyed driving their multidoor Porsches at the events and had a great time spending the day with other AZPCA Region members enjoying their Porsche cars. So, load up the family and the necessary family accoutrements in your Porsche and head out to the Region’s autocross events and have some fun for a day, no matter the number of doors it has.

We hope to see you at the next event. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Autocross Chairs at autocross@az.pca.org
