President’s Corner

Hello All:

We just got through several weeks of record setting rain and flooding here in Arizona. It has subsided and appears to be dry for the next few weeks. Fortunately, we didn’t have any events that had to be cancelled because of the weather or flooded areas.

Club activities tend to slow down in the summer months as members tend to participate less when the summer temperatures are upon us. We are running more events this summer than in the past to satisfy the pent up demand created during the COVID-19 abstinence.

There is an uptick in COVID cases occurring here in Arizona and around the country. We are keeping our eye on the State and local municipality rules along with any directives from PCA National. We will keep you posted if there are any policy changes regarding masks, social distancing and vaccination requirements for our events.

There will be two new policies forthcoming from the Board of Directors. The first will concern Driver Conduct on Driving Tours. Once finalized you will be required to read it, and acknowledge it when registering for any Driving Tour. The second is concerning the Photo section of the club website and posting photos from events. You will see the posting rules when the event organizer sends a link to attendees allowing uploading of photos taken.

(at AMP) · October 16 – Porsches & Pancakes – Anthem · October 20 – Driving Tour (Weekday drive to Bagdad) · October 23 – AutoX – AMP · October 23 – Concours Prep and Judging School · October 30 – DE – AMP · November 3 – Monthly Meeting – Porsche North Scottsdale · November 6 – Flight 43 · November 13 – Drivers Ed (at AMP) · December 18 – Annual Holiday Party
