Sunday Drive to South Mountain

Bring your Porsche out for a Sunday Drive to the top of South Mountain with your fellow PCA members. We will meet at The Pavilions at Talking Stick on the Salt River Pima Indian Community, at Pima Rd & Indian Bend/Talking Stick Way, bordering Scottsdale.

Unlike our other driving tours, this event will not require pre-registration. Just plan to come on out to The Pavilions at 9:00 A.M. to check in, receive driving directions, and attend the drivers meeting before we head across town to our destination at Dobbins Lookout at the top of South Mountain.

The Summit Road is a scenic, 5.5-mile drive from the main park entrance, terminating at Dobbins Lookout, at 2330 feet the highest viewing stop in the park. The view not only includes the Valley floor below, but a panoramic sweep that extends from the Estrella Mountains in the west to the Superstition Mountains in the east.

After enjoying the views and taking advantage of great photo ops, you can retrace the route back down to the park entrance at your leisure. There is no group lunch planned, but there are many good options within just a few miles after you exit the park.
