WELCOME Another fantastic year has been and gone and we’re anticipating 2017 to be even better! We have an incredibly strong line up of exciting new products to unveil throughout 2017, including some industry firsts, helping you take your carp fishing to the next level. 2016 has been a very interesting year for us. Our consultancy team welcomed the addition of one of the best carp anglers in the game in the form of UK team member, Adam Penning. Adam needs little introduction, having worked in the fishing industry in excess of 30-years and we’ve wasted no time in using Adam’s 30+ years of angling experience to help us develop fresh product ideas to bolster Prologic’s already strong portfolio, many of which will come to fruition towards the end of 2017. As a full time carp angling tutor, Adam spends 5-days a week on the bank and has certainly played a key role in testing our gear to the absolute limit and, thanks to his great understanding of products, we’re able to adapt projects accordingly. One thing that hasn’t changed is our passion for carp fishing. All of our products are designed by passionate carp anglers, for passionate carp anglers as it always has been. The Prologic C3 RAS rod is exactly the kind of rod I wanted: A sleek, elegant and lightweight rod that is fast and powerful when I need to fish at long distances. It feels great and it is extremely precise when casting. Generally, casting rods are stiffer than conventional rods, and using a small hook often means losing fish during the fight. However, this is not the case with the C3 RAS due to its parabolic action. Considering that I mostly fish on wild waters full of snags, this rod is perfect. It helps me fight the fish with finesse, but it also provides brute force when needed.

C3 RAS Evolutive rods. Damn. What a rod this is. If you want a strong rod but love old school action then you certainly have to get grip on our new rods. Even in 3,25 or 3,50 lbs they will still bend round while playing fish under the tip and closeby. Parabolic to the max! Cast likes a cannon, looks like a jewel and got all the high-tech features on it you expect nowadays. I fished with it on small French venues, on Dutch canals and big lakes so far and it’s really a pleasure to feel the action in it. This landing net is extremely fast to assemble and vice versa. This connectivity speed is possible due to very inovative assembling system. Angler can connect carbon mesh arms to spread block with Quick release connectors in paralel position. Then simply pull mesh arms apart and stainless steel spring locks into position and net is ready to use. When closing down mesh arms, simply push button on the left side of spread block and detach mesh arms. This landing net has a strong, quick dry mesh, which is easy to wash and it dries up within approx 20 minutes when exposed to sun. 180 cm full carbon one section handle comes in handy, when you have to reach far out to land fish into net and due to its strength it is very resistant against breaking. At the end, handle has a rubber part, which helps angler to have a good hand grip while landing a fish.

The X Frame design gives this bivvy everything I need for my summer and winter fishing. Easy to erect and compact, this new conce pt in bivvy design gives you maximum room, the smallest possible footprint, and a semi-flat back to make the most of those tight swims. Yet, the Frame-X bivvy will accom modate the largest of bedchairs and for me this is essential because I like the room, especially when Max, my carp terrier is along for the trip. For the summer I can zip the front out to give a great view and the bivvy’s small peak stops the rain driving in. There’s also a scull cap winter skin, which gives me maximum protection in severe weather conditions. The carp fishing market has seen quite a few different solutions for this ultra-essential shelter, mostly used for quick overnight session, we finally decided to bring our own solution to the market. Thanks to the pop-up system it can be opened and closed in a blink of an eye, but this is not the only key point for us. The Prologic ENS Bivvy, offers a very useful extra space in the front where you can store your gear, keeping it protected from the rain and wind. Another VERY important point is that this special shelter is fitted to the bedchair first, but then the outer fabric can be fixed to theground through metal rings and pegs, providing supreme stability even in the strongest wind.

What can I say about our ENS system. Yes, I felt in love with it during testing it the very first time. Less than two kilo. Fits in every car, big backpack or just under your arm. It’s crazy how light and compact it is but still all the features you need for a quick overnighter with it. If I could advice one hook to other anglers it would be the XC3 for sure. Why? Cause you can play every fish for ages without losing it. It,s strong as a horse. Great for fishing close to snags or in very weedy areas. It’s so reliable. And for a bit more aggressive hooking you can use our aligners on top of it but just straight out the package is already more then good enough. Most of my fishing takes place on rivers and heavily fished waters and high quality equipment is the only option. The XC5 hook is an excellent choice for such conditions. It’s a hook with a good port width and neck length ratio that holds fish great during the fight. The XC5 Hook is sharp and light, which greatly contributes to the realization of the bite. I usually use it in combination with a short V2 florocarbon trace and for rigs with “Super Skin” I combine it with a shrink tube or line aligner sleeve. Bait presentation is one of the most important things in fishing. For many years now, I have used my own version of the running rig system, where a lead core is the main part. I have tried a variety of types, but so far I haven’t been completely satisfied. Not until I started using the Python metalcore. Its biggest advantage is that it is extremely durable. It is highly abrasion resistant due to its knitted wire construction, and it doesn’t crack up. Its quality, ease of use, durability and reliability are its greatest qualities and I would recommend it to anyone.
