Excessive repetition of this movement injures the muscles and tendons in this area, especially if you focus on hitting the ground, it is easy to get this type of injury. In order to increase the absorption rate of water, it is more advantageous to drink room temperature water rather than very cold ice water. Conversely, it is also important to avoid coffee, which accelerates dehydration symptoms. Coffee contains caffeine, which, when consumed intensely, has a diuretic effect, which causes the body to expel water through urine. If you play golf in the morning, it is often seen that you drink two cups of strong espresso as soon as you arrive at the golf course. Another option is to drink a sports drink such as Gatorade, which contains plenty of electrolytes, along with water. You should also think carefully about what you eat on the golf course. Our body makes energy from sugar, and carbohydrates are the nutrient that can be converted to sugar the most quickly. Conversely, although fat and protein are nutrients that our body needs, their conversion rate into energy sources is relatively slow compared to carbohydrates. Therefore, it is better to avoid eating foods such as bread and cookies when you are hungry on the golf course because they are protein and fat after all, such as jerky, cheese, and peanuts. For this reason, even PGA pros enjoy eating bananas during games. This is because bananas are rich in carbohydrates and water and have adequate minerals and fiber. Other fruits that are high in water and sugar are also good choices. This is the reason why I eat a lot of cherry tomatoes or tangerines that are good to eat at once. Conversely, it is best to avoid foods that take a long time to chew and require time to digest. All golf swings should be made when there is nothing in the mouth.
