Kedleston Park Golf Club strives to create a memorable golfing experience for all to enjoy. Our Vision is to be the premier members golf club in the Midlands founded on the core values and traditions of golf. Our mission is to be renowned for our immaculate golf course and quality environment where staff are passionate and professional in providing outstanding service for our members and guests.
A host venue for Regional Qualifying for The Open from 2018, Kedleston Park is regarded as one of the best courses in Derbyshire by the ‘Top 100 Golf Courses of the world’. Set in 155 acres of mature Derbyshire parkland, Kedleston Park was constructed in the late 1940s by renowned course architects Colt, Alison and Morrison to a design originally penned by the legendary five-time Open champion, James Braid.
With 5 sets of tees measuring from 5,300 up to 7,000 yards, the par 72 course offers an excellent test of golf for players of all abilities within the stunning surroundings of Kedleston Hall.
The course benefits from USGA specified greens and a recent improvement programme to the bunkers, mounds and greenside complexes under the expert guidance of world-renowned golf course architects, Mackenzie and Ebert in preparation for hosting The Open Championship qualifying from 2018. The aims of Kedleston Park’s upgrade programme have been twofold – to improve the visual appeal of the holes, and to enhance the course’s strategic demands, ensuring that it continues to pose a suitable challenge to golfers of all abilities in the 21st century and beyond. Mackenzie’s brief has primarily been to rework many of the course’s bunkers, mounds and greenside complexes, reshaping and restyling some bunkers, repositioning others, and converting yet others into grass hollows or run-offs.
Kedleston Park’s facilities were further enhanced in the Autumn of 2015 with a major redevelopment of the club’s shortgame practice area, allowing members and visitors to really hone their touch around the greens. The excellent new Scarsdale practice facility comprises a 585m2 contoured green, surrounded by two bunkers and a variety of swales, mounds and hollows, all designed to allow golfers to practice the full complement of greenside shots.
The club offers a competitive yet friendly and welcoming environment for golfers with extensive practice facilities and an airconditioned clubhouse offering the finest Derbyshire hospitality.
Open to societies, visitors and guests, you can be assured of the warmest of welcomes at Kedleston Park.
We hope you enjoy a memorable experience.
