Featuring Trent Jones Senior’s trademark bold bunkering, raised greens and doglegs through a combination of pine trees and indigenous coastal plants, Troia’s spectacular scenery and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Arrábida mountain range, mixed with its variety of challenging and enjoyable holes, make it one of Portugal’s finest courses.

Surrounded by wildlife and nature in the heart of Sado Estuary Nature Reserve, the course plays to 6,908 yards along the coast and requires a multitude of shots, making it a stern test for golfers of all abilities.

Two holes that stand out are the third and 18th, with the par-four third hole being considered by Trent Jones Senior as one of the best he’s ever designed - including it in his ideal 18-hole golf course. The hole blends seamlessly with the landscape and has breathtaking views throughout. Hole 18 is a par-five left dogleg with an elevated green protected by three front bunkers.
