With a reputation as one of the finest pay-and-play courses in the country, the Downshire Golf Complex in Wokingham offers a range of top quality facilities in a delightful setting.

The superbly laid out 18 hole course, built in 1972 on royal hunting ground dating back to before the reign of King Henry VIII, is well established with mature tree lined fairways and large free draining greens. The Downshire’s parkland setting also makes good use of water features, offering interesting and varied challenges to golfers of all standards.

The course is 6,371 yards long, with a par of 72, with water hazards on many of the 18 holes. In addition, to the championship course there is also a 9-hole pitch & putt facility, which can be enjoyed by all the family or used to sharpen up short game skills.

The complex also features a covered and floodlit 30 bay driving range with large pro-shop, stocking most major brands of clothing, footwear and clubs with a custom fit service.

Open to the public seven days per week, individual tee time bookings are available online 10 days in advance, and society bookings taken up to 18 months in advance. A welcoming bar and restaurant is available for functions and business meetings.

Society Packages Welcome seven days a week for groups of 8 people or more. Various Winter packages are available from as little as £22 and summer £25 - packages can be tailored to your needs. Green Fees Vary depending on the day of the week and time of year, but you can expect prices in the region of £21 to £32 (Reductions are also offered to seniors over the age of 67).
