The Golf Short Game Tracker App supports two types of measurements: meters and yards/feet. By default the measurements are shown in meters. If you like to use yards/feet go to Settings to change the Distance setting. This manual tells you how to use the Golf Short Game Tracker App. Instructions on how to perform the tests at the golf course are given in the Test Guide.
Click on the menu icon in the left corner to open the menu. From the menu you can:
Start a new test

If you want to see distances expressed in Meters/CM or Yards/Feet
If you want to be able to enter the number of putts you made for the PAR-2, PAR-3 and PAR-4 test

Click on one of the main tests on the start screen:

After you click one of the main tests you get an overview of the individual tests you need to perform at the golf course. Instructions on how to perform the individual tests at the golf course are given in the Test Manual. Enter the scores of the individual tests by using the instructions that are shown on the screen with every test. For example: for every chip into the hole count 4 points, for every chip within 1 meter from the hole count 2 points and for every chip within 2 meters from the hole count 1 point. As soon as you have entered the score by using the dropdown the Total Score estimated Short Game Handicap are updated on the bottom of the screen. After finishing the complete test submit your score.

On the test screen you can click on the ‘?’ icon to get help information on how to perform the test and count your score. After reading the help information you can close the help information by clicking on the close icon.
To measure the distance from the hole you can use the GPS function. This function can be started by clicking on the compass icon at the top of the screen. You can use this function for example to measure the distances for performing the Short Wedge tests and Long Wedge tests. To measure the distance, take a stance at the hole and press the compass icon. After pressing the compass icon a distance calculator is shown on the bottom on the screen. If you start walking, the distance calculator shows the distance in meters or yards, depending on the distance setting (see Settings section). You can stop distance measuring by clicking on the location icon at the top of the screen. The quality of the distance measuring is depending on the quality of the GPS signal that is provided by your phone. The accuracy of the distance measurements can be configured on the Settings screen (see Settings section). An accuracy of 10 meters means, that only GPS positions are used that are 10 meters accurate. Golf Short Game Tracker – Practice makes perfect
To view or edit your previous tests you can go to the Test History screen. The most recent test you have executed is shown at the top of the list. To view or edit a test you can click on the test in the list. To correct your scoring you can change the score of the individual tests. After you have changed the scores press on the Update button. You can delete the complete test by clicking on the Delete button. For example if you did submit a test you did not finish.
To see your progress you can go to the Test Statistics screen. In the Statistics overview you can see the average score and short game handicap of the main tests. You can zoom in on the statistics of a main test by clicking on the test in the list. After you click on a main test a bar chart is shown. By default a maximum of ten recent tests is shown in the chart. You can change this by clicking on the first dropdown underneath the graph. You can zoom in on individual tests by using the second dropdown. For example zoom in on the 1 meter putt test.

You can sync your test data with the Golf Short Game Tracker website. This enables you to back up your data and synchronize your tests between multiple devices. You can also use this to view, share and export your test results and statistics via the website www.golfshortgametracker.com. To be able to sync the test data you need a login account for the Golf Short Game Tracker website. You can create this account via the Sign Up button. After clicking the Sign Up button you get a Sign Up form. Here you need to enter the following information:
A valid e-mail address. Your e-mail address will be used as the login name.
A password of minimal six characters. You need to enter the same password twice.
After you submit the Sign Up form a login account will be created. After clicking the Log In button you get a Log In form. On this form enter your e-mail address and password. If the log in succeeds you will return to the Sync Tests screen. To sync the test data press the ‘Start sync’ button. This will start the synchronization process. When the synchronization is finished you will get a message at the bottom of the screen saying ‘All data has been synchronized successfully’. At the next synchronization only the updated data is processed to minimize data traffic. If you need to do a full synchronization you can force this by pressing the ‘Reset last sync time’ button and perform a new synchronization by pressing

the ‘Start sync’ button.
