Walker Trolleys Exceeds Sales Projections

Walker Trolleys – a walking golf lifestyle brand and maker of premium push carts –exceeded first and second quarter sales projections for its Cape model amid strong nation-wide demand for walking-engineered golf gear.
The company has sold 90% of the first production run of the Cape through preorder and immediately launched a second run to replenish inventory and fulfill orders. April revenue was up 300% over March, and May was 300% above April’s top line. Founder and CEO Brad Payne says June and July sales could exceed the previous three months combined.
“The response to the Cape has been incredible,” says Payne. “Walking golf and push carts are experiencing a renaissance as golfers realize the health, wellness and fitness benefits. As we round into the fall and cooler weather, we expect demand to further increase.”
From its inception, the Cape was crafted to be distinctly different than other push carts, drawing inspiration from the roadsters and ultra-cool bicycles from the 20s and 30s. Its anodized aluminum frame, waxed canvas storage and handcrafted leather handle combine to create a clean, classic design separating it from a crowded field. The Cape is easily collapsible and fits in the trunk or cargo area of almost any vehicle.
Customizable soft good storage accessories, foam-filled tires and an umbrella accessory are in development and will be available in the next few months. A non-folding, storable version of the Cape is in the works, ideal for courses, clubs and resorts.
“People have rediscovered the joy of
walking golf during the pandemic, and we expect this trend to not only continue, but grow,” Payne says. “We are one of only a few push cart companies that has inventory to continue meeting demand. Moving forward, we have positioned the brand well for the future.”
The Cape retails for $399 and is available to order at Walker Trolleys’ online store and will generally ship in 1-2 days. For more information on Walker Trolleys, or to join the walking golf movement, visit any of the links below.

Galway Bay
Combining style, technology and performance, Galway Bay Golf has a new line of all-weather gear that fits the bill when it comes to wind, rain, and cold temperatures.
Leading with its innovative Carlisle jacket that uses the latest breathable weatherproof technology that is both light and waterproof, has an excellent fit that allows for ease of movement and yet is not too bulky and looks stylish enough to go to dinner after the round.
Galway Bay’s bi-component technology (Hydro-Flex 32) is a proprietary, three-layer 100% waterproof fabric that is constructed with a hydrophilic interior to pull moisture away from the skin and transfer it to the outer layer. The exterior surface area disperses and releases moisture for more efficient dry times. It regulates temperature in both hot and cold conditions. In addition, the fabric is breathable, stretchable, and features a rubberized waterproof zipper that together creates a supremely comfortable fit.
The Carlisle is available in multiple color options and features a softer, quieter fabric than typical rain gear and rubberized waterproof zippers. The neckline is lowered and rounded on the edges, so it is not a distraction during a golf swing, creating one of the most comfortable rains jackets around.
A perfect complement to the Carlisle jacket is the all-weather lined Winchester pants. The Winchester’s inner liner is constructed of a high-end, temperatureregulating fabric that ensures comfort in temperatures down to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The pants, which feature belt loops, a seven-inch zipper, and nine-inchdeep pockets, are designed to look like and be worn as golf slacks, eliminating the need to dress in layers. The pants can be ordered to fit a golfer’s exact waist and inseam sizes, optimizing comfort, fit and style. The nonlined Waterville pant has the same design as the cold-weather Winchester but is even more lightweight and made to be worn in temperatures between 45- and 75-degrees Fahrenheit.
“Even with all the technology in the fabric, it’s crucial that our apparel is lightweight enough so golfers can move and swing without restriction,” noted Galway

Bay CEO Bryan Finnerty. “This is first allweather pant that was never designed to be worn over your golf pants. They are your golf pants. Brilliant designers ensure the styles match today’s golfer’s tastes.”
More than a decade ago the Galway Bay team found themselves dissatisfied with traditional rain gear’s ability to keep golfers consistently warm, dry, and able to swing naturally. So, they set out to create a better class of golf outerwear. These offerings hit the mark.
A new addition to this year’s Galway Bay line is the Westport Half-Sleeve pullover, 100-percent waterproof top with two layers of outer-water repellency. This seam-sealed jacket is the first of its kind to feature an additional weather barrier which creates increased waterproof and easier movement.
The sleeveless Canterbury vest features a quilted, lightly insulated front with comfort fitting back and stretch side panels. The design provides full range-of-motion for an unrestricted golf swing. This full-zip vest has a small 1.25” collar for comfort. The Canterbury can be worn alone or as a layering piece under any of the Galway Bay jackets.
All Galway Bay fabrics are designed to breathe easy, releasing excess body heat and reducing sweat.

LugLess Shipping
Even before the pandemic changed the face of air travel this year, getting golf clubs or even everyday luggage from Point A to Point B was many times the least enjoyable part of a trip.
Enter a company called LugLess-- that even in these times of diminished air travel—has seen its business double because it is solving a problem that travelers want handled more than ever these days so they don’t have to stand in long TSA lines or wait in crowds at baggage claim to gather their belongings.
The LugLess shipping service has seen a dramatic increase in golf enthusiasts opting to ship their clubs to their destinations, instead of checking them on their flight, during the coronavirus pandemic. By shipping their golf clubs in advance, travelers can get in and out of the airport faster by not standing in bag check lines and avoiding crowded airport carousels, thereby reducing the amount of contact point interactions.
“We’ve found that those golfers who are planning a golf trip this summer feel safer doing so without carrying and checking their clubs at the airport,” said Aaron Kirley, President of LugLess. “If travelers don’t have to wait at the crowded baggage claim area to retrieve their clubs, then they can eliminate a potentially high-risk area of interaction.”
LugLess introduced the first costcompetitive alternative to checking bags at the airport by enabling travelers to ship luggage directly to their destination for as little as $15. LugLess leverages existing logistics networks to make shipping luggage easier and cheaper than checking a bag. The introduction of LugLess’ ultra-low-cost service provides a no-frills luggage shipping solution to the frustrated traveling masses who are increasingly dissatisfied with the inconvenience and rising costs of carrying and checking luggage at the airport.
According to LugLess officials, users have cited coronavirus concerns when flying and appreciate how the service alleviates some of their anxiety.
“Travelers are looking for solutions that help them speed through airports right now. No one wants to completely stop traveling but they do want to make it as safe as possible,” added Kirley. “We know that golfers are passionate about the game, and we are happy to help them continue to enjoy the sport with less worry.”
