RAILROAD HOBBY SHOW AT THE EASTERN STATES EXPOSITION “MUSEUM OF THE MOON” BERKSHIRE MUSEUM, PITTSFIELD MA

Organized by the Amherst Railway Society. This show is considered the largest show of its kind in North America. The event features real life railroads and scale model railroads, historical societies, travel agencies, art shows, flea market dealers, importers, manufacturers and photographers. Modelers’ exhibits will display outstanding handiwork on layouts ranging from the tiny Z scale which fits on a coffee table, a monster 80 foot N-Trak system, to our own Amherst Belt Lines Modular layout that boasts 8+ scales miles of track. The show is located in the Better Living Center and the adjacent Young, Stroh and Mallary Buildings.

The “Museum of the Moon” is a lunar installation that is an exact replica of the Earth’s moon, downsized to fit inside the halls of the Berkshire Museum. Created by UK artist Luke Jerram using NASA imagery of the moon’s surface, this exhibit will dazzle you and invite you to contemplate the ways the moon connects mankind across time and distance.
