Project: STRATEGY “# METROPOLITAN WATER SYSTEM”. Green strategy, related to canals system of Santiago – Chile. 2012 – 2015 Role-played: Part of the team in charge to develop a “green strategy”. This strategy was developed within the framework of technical administration and support to “San Carlos de Maipo” Foundation. This foundation depends of “Society of Canal de Maipo ” which is the administrator entity of some canals in Santiago – Chile. The specific requirement of the consultancy was create a projects system in order to improve the wasted land on to canal banks in the city. During the process of consultancy, and after some unconnected projects of linear parks and bikeways next to canals, the team proposed the idea of develop a metropolitan strategy considering the canals system as network, which could be thinking as a new frame of sustainable mobility. During 2014, this strategy was presented to metropolitan authorities in order to obtain the government support, and it was understood as an opportunity to create a public – private alliance (San Carlos de Maipo Foundation + Metropolitan Government + Direction of Waterworks + Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.). The strategy pretends to create a continuous linear parks system along the main four water lines of Santiago. As a first stage, the team developed a diagnosis of canals through survey and measure based on GIS system. Thereby, the first product was a schematic alternative of costs and feasibilities, in order to prioritize the different sections.

Project: "COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF AMÉRICO VESPUCIO EAST" Insertion of Highway, in the East Sector of Santiago, Chile. 2007 - 2012 Client: MOP (Ministry of Public Works). Responsible of the Project: Mr. Ivan Poduje C. (ATISBA) Consultant Team: AMEC-Cade (engineering) and Cipres Engineering (Transportation and Highways) Role-played: Project Manager, Coordinator Team of Design and Develop of Alternatives. (Design and Urban Studies) The aim of this project was find the accurate solution for the insertion of a 13 km highway called Americo Vespucio East, in Santiago - Chile, which should close the "ring system" around the city. During 4 years of project, the team passed through different stages, considering: Urban diagnoses, develop of 3 alternatives (surface highway, below surface highway and deep tunnel highway) measure of impact and finally, propos of urban design solution to mitigate the impacts and create value. All of these alternative were carefully design with the engineering specialist, and evaluated considering costs and all king of impacts over the build context, transportation connection, green areas and public spaces, regulation.

Project: URBAN HALL, RECOVERY OF A RESIDUAL EMPTY SPACE. Final project, requirement to obtain the title of Architect. Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. 2008 During the last 10 – 15 years, the city of Santiago, Chile (city of more than 5,5 million of inhabitants), has been under big transportation changes. These changes have considered, extension of subway lines, a new public bus network system, and one of the most important because of their impact, the incorporation of new urban highways. All of this has created a new frame of “hot spots” in the city, places where the interchange between people and network happen. The project is located in one of these strategic points of connection between different transportation modes, and it propose a solution to improve the nonexistent relation with the magnificent infrastructure (urban highways) and his context. The project worked over the residual empty space, which was generated as a collateral effect because of the insertion of this new infrastructure. At the same time, it pretended to improve the relation with his context through to a green strategy. Finally, the project recognized 4 elemental operations that describe the intervention: Opening new ways; Definition of order structure; Revitalize the center; Definition of character.
