THE SNAIL'S DIGESTION.
1.Digestion begins when the snail takes food with a kind of tongue with teeth called radula. 2.He turns to an oral cavity where food is mixed with saliva. 3.A short esophagus carries food to the stomach. 4.From the stomach passes into the intestine that has a spiral shape and ends at the anus which is near the head.
THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM OF SNAILS
THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM OF SNAILS
Some terrestrial snails have developed lungs to breathe. When they are out of their shell they don’t have any problem breathing, but inside the shell they’ve got a notch in the shell to breathe or a separated breathing tube.
THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM OF SNAILS The Circulatory System of snails has got cold blood, but if they rest under the Sun, their blood will elevate their temperature, so they are ectothermic (this means that its temperature is regulated by the temperature of the ambient). Snails has got an open circulatory system, with a heart, auricle and ventricle and many vessels. Its period of aestivation is realized among plants and their heartbeats are very low: about 5 beats per minute!
EGESTION IN SNAILS Egestion is the elimination of undigested and waste products from the digestive system. These products are transformed into faeces, and expelled from the organism by the anus.
