Imperial Porcelain Creating handcrafted products which are produced to order for the customer enables the products to be coloured to the customer’s specifications. Each order is a distinct work of art. In the case of most collections, a natural durability exists due to the materials used. The products are extremely versatile in that they are not specific to any period or style. These features make IMPERIAL a perfect choice for store planning and hospitality as well as for use in residential environments.

Installation Instructions and Aftercare for Imperial Porcelain Before you cut and hang, please be sure you have : 1. The correct wallcoverings and the correct amount of wallcoverings to finish the job. 2. Inspect the wallcoverings carefully to ensure it is free of defects: If no defect is evident before installation, the material should be inspected after three (3) stripes are installed. If any defect is evident at this time (or at any point in the installation) no additional material should be hung until Goodrich Global is notified. 3. NO CLAIMS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR MORE THAN (3) STRIPES ON THE WALL. All claims must be made within 60 days of the invoice date. No labor claims will be allowed at any time.

WALL PREPARATION : 1. The walls to be covered must be properly prepared to ensure that the wallcoverings will adhere to the wall surface. Even the strongest adhesive can only work when the wall surface is clean and properly prepared. 2. Goodrich Global recommends that installers use a hard, acrylic, pigmented, wall-protecting primer that is SPECIFICALLY made for WALLCOVERING INSTALLATION and WALL PROTECTION. 3. Allow the primer to dry thoroughly before hanging.

ADHESIVE : 1. A clear premix vinyl adhesive with low water content should be applied. Do not dilute. Allow the adhesive to become tacky. Excessive water can loosen the mastic from the fabric baking. Allow product to set for at least 5 - 10 minutes. 2. Be sure paste is evely distributed. Paste with a brush or roller. You may pretrim the panels or use the double cut method. Typically, 2 coats of paste are required to adhere the product to the wall. Here is an example : one coat on the product and one coat on the wall, or both on the product.

3. Premium clear adhesive WA-288 is highly recommended by Goodrich Global for ALL types and weights of fabric-backed and non-woven wallcoverings. Specification of WA-288 • Exclusively distributed by Goodrich Global • Non-hazardous vegetable adhesive from the U.S.A. • All components are approved by the U.S. EPA • LEED compliant (may contribute to IEQ Credit 4.1 & 1.5) • Includes bactericide and mildewcide • Dry strippable with fabric-backed wallcoverings • Zero VOC (≤5 grams/liter)

HANGING : 1. Before hanging, please plan your layout, inspect panels and shade to achieve the most pleasing installation. Layout matching panels to familiarize yourself with the flow of the pattern or the pattern match. Inside corners should be wrapped slightly ( 1/8” - 1/4” ) and lapped with the remainder of the previous strip or a new strip. Outside corners will wrap satisfactorily. Do not overwork seams or corners. 2. The non-pattern products should be trimmed up to 2” on each side and may be trimmed further to allow for custom width panels. Be sure to trim each side evenly / equally. The Patterned ones have a side match or a margin between design elements that must remain consistent. They all may be split for inside corners but the outside ones should be gently wrapped by hand to prevent as much chipping of the materials as possible. 3. For smoothing the sheet, a soft plastic sweep or firm bristle brush sweep should work fine. Some installers use a printers bray, a firm small roller. Be carefull at the seams with the small paperhangers’ roller. With the stiff sides, too much pressure can permanently damage the material. Making a template will help work around delicate details. 4. Paste can be removed from the surface of these products with gently lifting action using a damp soft sponge.

AFTER CARE 1. Stain can be removed when wiped off immediately with a clean sponge. Use a mild detergent to clean the wallcoverings. Do not use solvent based cleaning agents, lacquer thinner and nail cleaning agents that contain bleach. They may cause discoloration over a period of time. Do not soak. 2. Avoid excess rubbing or pressure so as not to damage the finish.

SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE INSTALLATION, KINDLY CONTACT GOODRICH GLOBAL BEFORE PROCEEDING.
