Volunteer Harassment Policy
It is the policy of Goodwill Industries-Suncoast to provide an environment free of harassment and discrimination. Goodwill will not tolerate any form of harassment based upon an individual’s race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, marital status, veteran’s status, or other protected status. For these purposes, the term harassment includes, but is not limited to, slurs, jokes, and other verbal, graphic, or physical conduct relating to an individual’s race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, marital status, veteran’s status, or other protected status. The term harassment also includes sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other conduct of a sexual nature. Any volunteer acting contrary to this policy will be subject to corrective action up to and including separation from their volunteer position. Harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, marital status, veteran’s status, or other protected status is defined as conduct that has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual’s work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.
