COACH AVAILABILITY

All interview requests for head coach Micah Shrewsberry should be directed to Chelsea Vielhauer in the Penn State Strategic Communications Department (email cpv5026@psu.edu or 610-937-4035). Coach Shrewsberry will conduct a weekly press conference in person in the Bryce Jordan Center media room and will schedule zoom teleconferences as needed. Those wishing to be included in availabilities should contact the Strategic Communications office.

Coach Shrewsberry will hold postgame press conferences in the Bryce Jordan Center media room following each home game. Coach Shrewsberry will hold postgame press conferences following all Big Ten road games in the home team’s media room.

He will also make regular weekly appearances during the season on “The Penn State Coaches Show Featuring Micah Shrewsberry Presented by Pepsi” weekly radio show from 6:05-7:00 p.m. The show is broadcast live on location at The Field Burger and Tap in State College and show dates will be listed in the game notes. Coach Shrewsberry is not available on the day prior to a game or on game day prior to tip-off.

PLAYER INTERVIEWS

Prior to game day, all player interviews must be arranged through the strategic communications office at least 48 hours in advance. Players are not available on the day prior to a game or on game day prior to tip-off. Players may be scheduled as available for one-on-one interviews and will return phone calls only upon approval by Strategic Communications. Player phone numbers will not be released.

During the season, player interviews are generally conducted following Coach Shrewsberry’s weekly press conference. Times and dates are subject to change. Penn State’s locker room is closed. Following games, selected requested Penn State players will be brought to the postgame media interview room.

PENN STATE PRACTICES

Penn State practices are closed, unless announced otherwise by the Strategic Communications office in conjunction with interviews. Selected practices throughout the season may be open to the media for more extended periods.

SERVICES

Wireless internet is available in the BJC with the log-in at your seat and posted in the media room on game days. Live stats will be available on StatBroadcast.

GoPSUsports.com is the official website of Penn State Athletics. All releases, game stories, notes, biographies, features, videos and statistics are available on the website. Penn State will provide game notes prior to all contests online on the media

MEDIA CREDENTIALS

Only working media members will be issued credentials for games in the Bryce Jordan Center. Access to media row and the media work room is limited to credentialed media only. Credential requests must be submitted via the application form (gopsusports.com/mbbmedia). Please submit requests at least a week in advance.

Media credentials will be left at Media Will Call (Media & Show Entrance) located on the event level of the Jordan Center adjacent to the large truckway that faces Mount Nittany and the outdoor track (off Dauer Drive).

Penn State is a member of the Big Ten Conference and all policies will conform to Big Ten guidelines. Abuse of credentials will be grounds for removal and revocation of said credentials.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

A photo pass is required to gain access courtside in the Bryce Jordan Center. Courtside photographers must follow NCAA guidelines, which prohibit entry to the bench areas and stands, and must remain seated in marked photo zones on baseline.

SCOUTS

Penn State will provide a credential upon request for professional scouts to enter the building, sit on press row and provide access to the media work room, notes and stats.

Reminders and restrictions for covering Penn State Athletics events, including live stream policy, is available here: GoPSUsports.com/broadcastrights. Facilities are assigned in accordance with Big Ten guidelines. Radio booths and phone lines are available for the Penn State Sports Network and the opponent’s radio network. Student stations are assigned locations as available. A courtesy line is available for the primary radio outlet in suite C22, located off the concourse level. Additional phone lines may be installed at the outlet’s expense.
