• After an almost entirely conference-only schedule in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nittany Lions return to its traditional 16-match EIVA slate and have added 10 non-conference contests against seven opponents for its 2022 schedule • The EIVA welcomes back Ivy League programs Princeton and Harvard after their league-wide decision to forgoe the 2021 season due to COVID-19. The conference also welcomes St. Francis Brooklyn for the 2022 season to round out its 9-team field, marking 16 total league matches in the regular season for the Nittany Lions. • Penn State's nonconference slate includes seven out-of-conference opponents, beginning with 2021 national runners-up BYU Jan. 6 & 8 at Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions will take on Grand Canyon for the first time in program history the following weekend, also at Rec Hall. • PSU heads to California for back-to-back conference challenge, first in Los Angeles in the B1G/Pac-12 Challenge against USC and UCLA. The following weekend, the Nittany Lions head to Santa Barbara for the Battle of the Bigs against the Big West's UCSB and Long Beach State. Penn State wraps up the nonconference schedule against traditional Big Ten rival Ohio State in a "home and home" in March. • The 2022 EIVA Tournament will take place April 20-21 & 23. While details remain to be sorted out, the top-seeded team in the tournament will likely play host to the semifinal round and championship match at the least. The 2022 NCAA Tournament is scheduled to take place the week of May 1-7, with UCLA hosting the tournament for at least the semifinals and championship.
